We're looking for an outstanding Fundraising Officer to join our team. If you have a keen interest in the Criminal Justice System and are passionate about supporting people affected by imprisonment, we’d love to hear from you.
The majority of Pact’s voluntary income comes from Trusts and Foundations, helping to further our work with prisoners, former prisoners and their children and families. Consequently, this is a vital role in the fundraising team. We enjoy warm and committed relationships with a wide range of trusts and foundations and have a robust trust pipeline contributing to core and specific restricted projects.
As the Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations), you will support the Senior Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) to raise vital grant income to support Pact’s charitable services and activities. This is a varied role which will involve you helping to identify potential new sources of grant funding from charitable trusts & foundations, whilst ensuring the very best stewardship of a portfolio of our existing relationships.

About the opportunity
As our Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Manager and broader team in volunteer and school recruitment efforts, while managing our social media presence. Duties and responsibilities
• Responsibility for managing Action Tutoring’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube). Plan content (in collaboration with wider Marketing and Communications team) in line with the charity’s wider campaigns, volunteer recruitment rounds and key messages, ensuring regular diverse posting.
• Work with the Marketing Manager to develop engaging content which encourages the recruitment of high quality volunteer tutors, enquiries from potential partner schools and raises awareness of the charity to potential fundraisers, donors and employees.
• Promote the breadth of Action Tutoring’s activities and projects on social media, working across the whole team to gather content to raise brand awareness (including Programme, Philanthropy, Operations, Policy and Impact).
• Contribute to the development of content for social media channels including graphics, video and photography, with the occasional visit to school programmes and other charity events.
• Regularly analyse and report on the impact of Action Tutoring’s social media content through weekly analysis, quarterly reporting and campaign analysis.
• Monitor social media trends and industry developments to ensure we’re maximising content across all channels.
• Lead on blogger, influencer and community outreach (e.g. Facebook community groups, Next Door) to help raise awareness of Action Tutoring's volunteering opportunities and encourage applications.
• Manage our national digital adverts (such as Indeed, CharityJobs, Do-It). Respond to any direct enquiries sent through these and other digital platforms, including the Volunteer Facebook Group and Google business.
• Identify national digital advertising opportunities for volunteer and school marketing, and support with content for regional adverts. Work with the Marketing Manager to analyse impact and decide where our budget is best spent.
• Support the day to day management of Action Tutoring’s website, editing content with updates upon request. Support with creating high quality, engaging content for the Action Tutoring website to ensure it’s optimised.
• Create external marketing materials on request and support with ad-hoc visual design work.
• Support with the attendance at volunteering promotion events, mainly university fairs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Philanthropy
- Lead, develop and implement a Business Growth strategic plan that brings a mix of
sustainable income derived from individual giving, trusts and foundations and corporate
sponsorships - Work with the Director to develop strategic revenue generation opportunities across the
business and key ICA stakeholders - Lead a Fundraising team to research prospective donors and supporters and build a
pipeline of donor acquisition, including bespoke donor packages - Collaborate with strategic partners on the development of compelling partnership
funding/income/business growth proposals - Maintain an overview of trends and developments in fundraising and business growth
across the artistic and cultural sector - Contribute to business growth and fundraising forecasts to the annual and longer-term

- Lead, develop and implement an Audiences and communications strategy alongside the

ICA to meet its organisational objectives - Maintain and develop ICA’s brand in international, national and local markets, ensuring
ICA’s identity is maintained across all communications channels - Oversee the ICA platforms including its website, socials, media and the overall user

ICA, and enables the institution to meet its income targets - Develop, implement and maintain ICA’s overall digital and social media strategy

required including Arts Council England NPO reporting - Reporting to the Director and Board of Trustees on the strategy and delivery of the ICA’s
business growth with the ability to flex and respond effectively when variances arise - Reporting to the Finance and Audit sub-committee
Team Management
- Play an active and highly collaborative role as a full member of both the Executive
Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team - Line Manage roles of Senior Development Manager, Development Manager, Audience
and Marketing Manager, Membership Manager, Editions Coordinator, Ticketing &
Membership manager, ensuring person specific objectives are set in line with the ICA’s
strategic mission & KPIs, as well as supporting staff’s ongoing development and

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive and tangible experience in developing and delivering a communications

corporate sponsorship ideally within the arts and culture sector - Experience of personally managing relationships with high value individual,

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative fundraiser to develop a strategic programme of mid to high level donors for a charity working to build a fairer UK justice system within everyone’s reach.
As the Major Gifts Fundraiser, you will play a pivotal role in developing and sustaining fundraising relationships, working closely with the Director of Development, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. You will be an integral member of the Development Team and work across other teams, particularly the Communications and Policy Teams to maximise fundraising and engagement opportunities and to deliver a first-class giving experience to every major individual donor.
The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional.
