What you’ll be doing
- Lead and grow the Charity’s community fundraising programme, supporting world-class cancer research and care.
- Play an active role in the leadership and operational management of the Charity.
- Manage and develop a high-performing Community Fundraising team, championing our values and supporting learning and development.
- Oversee our flagship fundraising event, The Banham Marsden March, and a diverse portfolio of mass participation events.
- Support the team to build long term relationships with our community supporters, raising up to six figure sums.
- Collaborate across Public Fundraising and Philanthropy & Partnerships to optimise supporter journeys and maximise income opportunities.
- Optimise the performance of the Community Fundraising product portfolio, developing new initiatives to reach new audiences and deliver sustainable income growth.
- Ensure the team are fully informed and compliant with all existing and future changes to fundraising regulation and legislation and embed best practice processes.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience leading and managing high-performing Community Fundraising or Events team, driving performance and embedding change.
- Demonstrable success in developing and delivering fundraising strategies to meet or exceed ambitious financial targets.
- Extensive experience delivering a diverse range of community fundraising activities, including large-scale mass participation events.
- Experience setting and managing budgets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with a variety of stakeholders.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with the ability to embed inclusive principles across the team and supporter engagement.
- Ability to respond sensitively to emotional circumstances, including distressed or bereaved donors.

Battersea is entering an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as we embark on the first year of our new five-year strategy. With increased investment in income generation starting in 2025, we are expanding our team to drive the growth necessary to achieve our organisational goals. Our fundraising team bridges the journey of the animals in our care with the wider public, demonstrating how their contributions enable us to support every dog and cat. We now have several new roles within this team to further our mission.
This is a new role working within Battersea’s Income Generation department to develop and deliver the campaign plan for a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal.
One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. One of the ways in which we do this is by investing in our facilities to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the animals we care for. This fundraising campaign will help to achieve that aim.
You will work with teams across Battersea to develop a comprehensive plan for the campaign and co-ordinate the work of multiple specialist teams to deliver the campaign on a day-to-day basis. You will also be responsible for developing a clear governance structure for the campaign, and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress. You will also oversee and track progress of a series of internal process improvements that support the running of the campaign.
Please note, this is not a direct fundraising position, but will support our fundraising teams in delivering ambitious financial targets for the appeal.

The Communications Team tells people who Liberty is, what we do and how they can get involved – helping to shape the narrative of the media debate and influence decision makers. This role requires proven experience of line managing colleagues and devising and executing strategic national media and digital comms plans.
Liberty is a small organisation, which punches above its weight. The Media and Communications Manager will combine strong project management and hands-on day-to-day delivery, line managing a team of three in a fast-paced environment which includes a 24-hour press office.
This is an important leadership role. The post-holder will advise senior colleagues, set messaging, lead projects across earned and owned channels, brief and train spokespeople, build and maintain relationships with journalists and other external stakeholders, and draft and edit media materials.
Success will see integrated, collaborative and ambitious project planning to support policy, campaigns and legal cases to engage key audiences with impactful communications and enhance Liberty’s reputation and influence.

Meet your Manager
In this role you will be managed by Camilla Fitzgerald. Camilla joined ClientEarth in 2022 and is part of ClientEarth’s fundraising team, working hard to grow our supporter community and brand awareness while stewarding supporters, both in the UK and internationally. She focuses on corporate and philanthropic giving, with a particular focus on unrestricted income to help secure long-term financial stability for the organisation. Before joining ClientEarth, Camilla was Director of Development at Walkabout Foundation, where she built and implemented their 5 year fundraising strategy. Camilla started her career in Events Management, having learnt first at The Institute of Masters of Wine, and then solidifying her experience in fundraising at Brooke and then charity: water UK. Camilla went to school at the French Lycee Charles de Gaulle in London and completed her degree in History of Art at Oxford Brookes University.
Main Duties
- Lead on the project management, design, content creation and publishing of communications for the Philanthropy team (including impact report and newsletters) and work with translators to ensure communications are produced in other key ClientEarth languages
- Lead on the development of bespoke reporting for six and seven figure restricted and unrestricted gifts to produce high-quality, compelling reports tailored in style and content to suit a range of audiences in different geographies
- Work closely with the Philanthropy team to ensure gold standard stewardship for ClientEarth’s philanthropy donors: driving creative, unique and inspiring ideas for tailored stewardship touchpoints throughout the year;
- Partner with the Design Manager to deliver visually compelling reports and original donor stewardship touchpoints tailored to the Philanthropy portfolio;

About the role
We are looking for two exceptional Heads of Philanthropy to join our team to significantly increase philanthropic income for faculty fundraising priorities across King’s College London.Within your application, please indicate which position you are applying to, or if you are happy to be considered for both positions.
One role will lead the Health, Science & Technology philanthropy team, and the other will lead the Arts & Social Sciences philanthropy team. Candidates will need to demonstrate curiosity and genuine interest in the academic areas that fall within the role, and work in partnership with King’s experts and other stakeholders to be successful.
King’s has an ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for Faculties as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising and engagement campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029. There is currently at least one major gift fundraiser working in each Faculty. Working closely with the Associate Director, Faculty Philanthropy, the postholder will play a pivotal role in developing and growing the major gift fundraising function. They will be responsible for leading and nurturing a team of high value fundraisers to secure gifts at the £50k level and above.
We are looking for someone with a proven track-record of developing new, high value relationships, with experience of closing gifts at the six- and seven- figure level. They will need to demonstrate that they understand what is required to build and scale prospect portfolios. They should be intellectually curious and energised by the depth and breadth of King’s academic expertise, with particular interest and passion to work with senior university leaders and academics to secure funding for a range of priorities across either the Arts and Social Sciences, or Health, Science & Technology portfolio.
Working closely with the Associate Director, Faculty Philanthropy, the postholder will play a pivotal role in developing and growing the major gift fundraising function in advance of the launch of the university’s next public fundraising campaign. They will be responsible for leading and nurturing a team of high value fundraisers to secure gifts at the £50k level and above.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office, on King’s campuses or meeting donors externally. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- A proven track record of identifying, cultivating and securing six- and seven- figure gifts from major donors
- Strong leadership skills, with experience of managing a high-performing fundraising or major gifts fundraising team
- The ability to negotiate throughout a large, complex environment with multi-dimensional points of view
- Ability to plan strategically and implement those plans
- Proven track record in establishing, monitoring, and achieving demanding targets, including income and activity metrics
- Confidence and experience of working effectively with, and influencing, senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, including an ability to write and speak eloquently and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all backgrounds

About the role ofHead of Principal Donors
