About Support and Connect 
The Support and Connect service is delivered in partnership with MIND in Camden, within the NHS Core Team. We provide members of our local community with short-term, holistic and person-centred support, which is meaningful and steered by them. We aim to work flexibly with, and alongside clients in the service to support their needs and wellbeing. 
Support and Connect is a short-term service, offering up to 10-12 sessions of emotional, social and/or practical support. You would be expected to meet with clients either at Likewise, in one of our partner offices across Camden or within the community spaces across the borough.

Dennis Handfield House is part of the Camden adult pathway and is a 39 bed service for males and females. There is a staff team of 5 Complex Needs Worker, Specialist Complex Needs Worker, Day Concierge and Night Team, we also have a Work and Learnings Worker and Psychotherapist shared across SHP.

This is a high-impact role, designed to support individuals with multiple and complex needs, including mental and physical health challenges, substance use, and a history of offending. You will support and empower our clients as they move from crisis towards stability, independence, and meaningful engagement in the community.

Purpose of job

To lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education. Create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work.

Main Duties

1. Programme Development and Delivery

• Lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s education programme, in collaboration with the Director of Programmes and Evaluation and other colleagues
• Build on our learning from past and existing activities across Wikimedia UK and the wider movement to develop and roll out a new Wikimedia and information literacy programme for the UK’s secondary school sector; adapting this for the four nations as appropriate
• In conjunction with other Programmes staff, support the delivery of information literacy projects within higher education, through existing and new strategic partnerships as well as smaller projects and interventions such as Wikimedia in the Classroom courses
• Develop and deliver a range of information literacy activities
• Seek opportunities for new partnerships within the education sector, and grow existing relationships with potential delivery partners, for example within the cultural sector
• Work with the Development team and other staff to identify and follow up funding opportunities for existing or potential projects
• Support other staff within the Programmes team in their own work with the education sector

2. Sector Advocacy

• Promote the importance of media and information literacy skills to digital citizenship and civic engagement, and demonstrate Wikimedia’s value in developing those skills through running targeted interventions and disseminating our research and outcomes
• Advocate for a strong focus on media and information literacy skills in schools and university curricula, and work with other staff, partners and allies to campaign for public policy initiatives and investment to support these skills across society

3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact

• Run and evaluate the pilots of our work in schools
• Report regularly on programme plans, outputs and outcomes, in collaboration with other staff in the Programmes team
• Handle documentation and record all relevant programme metrics. Update CRM records for partnerships, volunteers and activities

4. Communication and Dissemination

• Write blog posts, create case studies, and generally contribute to the promotion and dissemination of our work and impact, in collaboration with the Communications team
• Engage in public speaking opportunities on behalf of Wikimedia UK in promoting our work, as required
• Engage with other Wikimedia organisations, sharing our education work and peer-learning

This historic milestone coincided with Variety’s 75th anniversary and stands as a testament to the trusted role that Variety plays as a national children's charity meeting the needs of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Office Management:

• Oversee daily office operations and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for office-related vendors (cleaning, supplies, security, etc.).
• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Support onboarding/offboarding processes from a facilities perspective
• Handle incoming mail and deliveries and ensure efficient distribution.
• First point of contact for calls, visitors, and general office inquiries.

Governance:

• Assistance to CEO with diary coordination, organisation of events, meetings, and in-office gatherings.
• Coordination of finance committee and Trustee meetings
• Minute taking at meetings as required
• Administrative assistance as required

Facilities Management:

• Oversee building maintenance, safety procedures, and office infrastructure.
• Liaise with tenants, building management, and external contractors to ensure facilities are well-maintained.
• Monitor and manage office budgets related to supplies, utilities, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; manage risk assessments and fire safety drills.
• Lead sustainability initiatives within the office (e.g. recycling, energy-saving practices).
• Ensuring health and safety compliance for staff including being the fire marshal

Cost management

· solicit and compare competitive quotes for office services and building making recommendations based on quality, reliability, and value.

· Negotiate contracts to optimise costs without compromising service standards.

· Proactively identify areas for cost reduction or improvements.

Administrative & Support:

• Maintain records of office leases, utilities, and insurance policies.
• Manage access control systems and office security.
• Support leadership with general administrative tasks when required.
• Create and maintain facilities manuals, process documentation, and onboarding guides.

Other

· Health and safety duties including fire marshal- training will be provided.

· Undertake any other duties that may from time to time be required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

• Proven experience as an Office and Facilities Manager, or similar role.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving attitude with a high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with office software (e.g. MS Office, Teams)
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.

Job Description  

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Fundraising, we are looking for someone with a passion for helping vulnerable young people to achieve their potential and who is excited by playing their part in raising funds towards our £1 million target. Working in our small Income Generation Team, you will have responsibility for writing compelling proposals and reports that showcase the impact of our work. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with current and potential funders, building and stewarding our restricted income pipeline which you will own.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record of securing funding, preferably within the youth, sport for development or health & wellbeing sector. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

We are a home working charity which is committed to flexible working.  We are open to considering different working patterns for this role.

Key responsibilities  

Fundraising and business development  

• Write compelling funding proposals and cases for support, from £5000 to £100,000s

• Own and grow Trusts and Grants pipeline, identifying and researching new funding opportunities 

• Cultivate and steward relationships with new and existing funders

• Represent Trust at programmes, events, funder meetings

Relationship Management 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential funders

• Ensure effective communication with funders, providing high quality reports and updates 

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure funded projects deliver maximum, demonstratable impact in line with funder expectations

Managing systems and processes 

• Create a calendar of opportunities for grant submissions, ensure application deadlines are met

• Maintain accurate and up to date funder records in Trust’s CRM system, Salesforce 

• Maintain efficient systems for tracking applications and reporting

• Work closely with Senior Finance Manager to ensure restricted income is accurately forecasted and updated accordingly

Fundraising Lead

£50,000 - £53,000 depending on location

This is a new role and great time to be joining the charity as it enjoys being in a position of strength and growth. 

Your remit will be to develop and deliver the fundraising strategy. Your income generation toolkit is likely to include trusts and foundations. If you can bring others income streams such as corporates or major donors as well, then that would be the icing on the cake as developing and stewarding strategic relationships will be key to success.

The Role

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO/Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational leadership of Chelsea Theatre. This is a hands-on role with a focus on balancing the day-to-day running of the operational activities of the venue, with essential components such as stakeholder management, community engagement and income generation. 

Key Responsibilities

The postholder will: 

• Provide leadership and responsibility for the charity’s purpose, administration and financial management plus ensure compliance with the law and regulations. 

• Generate significant earned income from one-off and repeat hirers, including local community organisations, commercial contracts, arts organisations and private hires, with a focus on high quality customer care.

• Increase income from grants, corporates and funds from individuals, with support from Trustees.

• Run the building as a community centre, making an ever-increasing positive impact in the local community and beyond. 

• Motivate and engage a small team of staff and volunteers, and broad range of stakeholders and prospective supporters.

• Where necessary, with the team, be capable of delivering a range of operational tasks, such as updating the website and managing the box office systems.

• Act as ambassador for the charity, building relationships with partners and stakeholders in the community, local government and with businesses. 

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

• Work with the Board to develop and implement a clear vision and business strategy to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the Chelsea Theatre.

• Identify and maximise commercial opportunities, including venue hire, sponsorship, and partnerships. Support the Board with fundraising.

• Lead on business development and marketing initiatives to increase revenue while maintaining the venue’s community-focused ethos.

• Ensure the organisation’s mixed team of staff and volunteers are focused on supporting the business’s mission and objectives.

Venue & Operational Management

• Oversee all aspects of venue operations, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, customer experience, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Develop and manage budgets effectively, ensuring quality financial reporting, financial stability, and responsible stewardship of resources.

• Ability to optimise rental income and diversify income streams, while serving community needs. 

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, local authorities, businesses, and community groups.

• Operate within the annual budget. Monitor key indicators of the organisation’s impact and financial health. 

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and nurture partnerships with the local community, ensuring the theatre remains a welcoming and accessible space for all.

• Work closely with the Board of Trustees to align organisational commercial goals with community needs and expectations.

• Further develop a balanced and funded community programme, which currently include a flagship youth theatre scheme, to reflect community needs and interests. 

• Represent Chelsea Theatre externally, acting as an advocate for its work and impact.
