This is an exciting time to work for the Foundation as we celebrate our 25th birthday in 2024. You will manage a portfolio of JPF Partnership grants and support the delivery of JPF’s annual internship grants and intern development programme. You will be responsible for maintaining positive and supportive relationships with our Jack Petchey grant partners and with our interns and their host organisations.

The role

As Forward Action’s Partnerships Officer, you’ll support the Partnerships Director to build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, so we can help them achieve change on everything from climate change to refugee rights. 

In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage the administration side of our partnerships, from initial contact and briefing, through proposal management, all the way to issuing contracts and drafting scopes. You’ll work across multiple projects and deadlines, managing processes, organising meetings, following up action points, and keeping accurate partnership records. 

You’ll champion the partner experience and ensure we always deliver value. This includes meeting with organisations to explore their goals, and briefing colleagues on new partners’ needs. You’ll also lead on our marketing and webinar programme, coordinating plans and working with colleagues and freelancers to deliver outstanding content. 

This is a busy role with lots of opportunities to learn new skills, and you’ll be supported by a kind, open and inclusive team. We prioritise work/life balance, offering flexible working and a four-day week. As a Forward Action employee, you’ll co-own the company and share in its success.

You’ll have experience as an account manager or another relationship-based role in fundraising, events, sales or marketing. You might have worked in an agency or the NGO sector, but this isn’t essential.

You’ll also be proactive, process driven, and an excellent problem solver who’s always keen to improve the way we do things. And as the first point of contact for many of our partners, you’ll be a great communicator who’s brilliant at building relationships.

About the role

We are looking for a creative, pro-active and outgoing Corporate Relationship Manager to join our team who can build on our successful corporate partnership programme. Key Duties and Responsibilities

A. Support the CFO and Deputy Director of Finance and senior leadership team to set up the Financial Centre of Excellence dedicated to supporting Black and racially Minoritised community groups.

B. Provide bespoke financial management capacity-building support to Black and racialized organisations in 8 London boroughs, including supporting groups to:

1. Conducting financial health checks and developing and implementing action plans.

2. Provide training, and guidance to groups supported on ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory and funder requirements governing the sector, employer responsibilities training, and governance.

3. Support the development and implementation of financial strategies operational/strategic management and planning resources.

4. Provide training and guidance on risk identification and mitigation and annual reports and accounts.

5. Support the delivery of webinars/masterclasses to participants

6. Support developing effective online learning tools and platforms to cascade learning.

7. Support the delivery of a proactive finance service ‘Critical Friend’ providing financial advice, support, scrutiny, and challenge to the organisations.

8. Support groups to plan resources, assess the implications of service proposals, and provide financial modelling and analysis of service options for projects and initiatives.

9. Contribute to the provision of financial support across the Ubele hubs, in forecasting both in-year and future-year income and expenditure, ensuring these are accurate, appropriate, and supported  through activity and performance analysis.

10. Support the Deputy Finance Director as required on a range of financial and management accounting, budgetary, reconciliation, reporting, and payment tasks where relevant, for the designated  service area.

11.Support the Ubele senior leadership team and staff in the development and updating of the project organisational and annual budget to ensure that it supports the outcomes set out in our strategic plan.

With a proven track record of consistently delivering projects and programmes with high-quality results, the successful candidate will have up to date ED&I knowledge and demonstrable experience of raising the profile of an organisation within this setting.  The candidate will be experienced in development of programmes and partnerships to suit delivery of strategic objectives, and be able to project manage internal colleagues to deliver against set KPIs.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working within a charity that focuses on developing young people from all backgrounds, and will have the experience, knowledge and understanding to drive forward EDI in external facing programmes.

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Deliver positive action activity for change:

• Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
• Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
  • Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
  • Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
  • Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
  • Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.

2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:

• This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
• Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
• Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
• Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.

3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards

• The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
• Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
  • Establish the nominations process
  • Co-ordinate the judging panel
  • Organise the awards ceremony
  • Manage the support of the awards partners.

4. Manage strategic relationships

• Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
• Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
• Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).

5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:

• Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
• Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
  • Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
  • Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.

6. Internal ED&I Liaison:

• Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
• It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

Full time working hours are a minimum of 35 hours per week, normal working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to our working practices and service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options, including part time, with suitable candidates.

Prospect Research Manager (Corporate Partnerships)

In developing new and existing partnerships the team also initiates dialogue and collaboration on policy and influencing, advocacy and technical service delivery.

About the Role:
You will lead on the development and delivery of a prospect research strategy to support the strategic development of our partnership portfolio. In collaboration with the Senior Partnership Development Manager you will develop and implement a prospect research strategy to grow partnerships and income. You will also oversee all aspects of the prospect pipeline process and present monthly KPI reports to the Partnership Development team, liaising with the Performance and Insights team as required to adapt reports to meet the team's needs.

You will maintain a strong role in understanding and promoting the role of research in enabling our fundraising teams to maximise donor engagement and income, through informed prospect identification, cultivation and stewardship.

More specifically, this includes:

• Proactively identifying prospects that have a strong fit with our strategy in terms of alignment and capacity to give
• Building and managing the prospect pipeline across the team, and leading on 'moves management' to ensure we are effectively managing and supporting potential and existing prospects to have a great experience
• Ensuring our prospect development strategy is understood consistently across the wider Strategic Partnerships team
• Providing recommendations on how to engage prospects, considering motivations and existing networks
• Producing research profiles, reports and biographical briefings
• Developing and utilising internal and external prospect research databases and network mapping systems to identify sources of warm prospects
• Identifying relevant events for Partnership Development Managers to attend for networking and/or insight-gathering purposes, and developing detailed briefs on events speakers and attendees
• Ensuring quality control of prospect research processes and documentation
• Recommending appropriate and cost-effective research tools and manage this part of the expenditure budget.

About you:

• Educated to degree-level/equivalent educational standard, or significant equivalent work experience
• Strong understanding of the role of research in good prospect management, cultivation and stewardship (in commercial or not-for-profit environment)
• Experience carrying out prospect research for corporate partnerships using relevant databases and research tools
• Very strong research and analytical skills, including ability to produce detailed and insightful profiles and network lists for prospective individual and organisation partners
• Ability to analyse complex information and communicate clearly and credibly for delivery to a variety of audiences in written reports, presentations and meetings
• Stakeholder management knowhow to build and maintain great working relationships at all levels, and influence, internally and externally
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and prioritise conflicting deadlines successfully

In the last few years Mind's Corporate Partnership team has seen significant growth, delivering £7m+ income in FY22/23. Mind has strategic, Charity of the Year and commercial partnerships with companies across a range of sectors.

We are looking for an experienced and creative partnerships officer, to join our high performing and fast paced team at an incredibly exciting time. You will be managing and supporting a varied and interesting range of partnerships including existing and brand-new partnerships.

The Corporate Partnerships team consists of Partnerships Management, Planning and Development and New Partnerships team. This role reports into a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

As a skilled relationship officer, you'll work with your manager to provide first-rate partnership management, developing creative fundraising and engagement plans to excite and inspire your team. You will work to deliver outstanding donor led stewardship and activate campaigns to generate income. You will work collaboratively with staff across Mind, together with other stakeholders and external contacts to maximise income and other opportunities for Mind.

Working both independently and with support from your line manager:

-Steward, renew and grow a portfolio of corporate partnerships at Mind, effectively planning, developing and delivering the partnerships to maximise income and wider benefits for Mind.

-Develop and implement a fundraising and engagement plan to maximise income and added value over the course of partnerships, deliver donor-focused stewardship so partners want to stay with Mind.

-Collaborate with internal teams to maximise potential and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships, e.g. communications, celebrities and PR, pro bono and gift in kind, lived experience, finance, events, services and wider engagement

-Adapt and promote Mind's core campaigns and activities to partners to engage partners with our cause and deliver excellent stewardship, working with the Planning and Development team

-Lead or assist with the creation of innovative fundraising initiatives, assets and materials to engage and inspire our partners

-Report back on how our partners' support has made a difference, demonstrating a clear understanding of the breadth and depth of Mind's work and the projects they're supporting.

-Track and monitor income and expenditure budgets to ensure income targets are met, flagging any variances to your line manager in good time. Work efficiently with Finance and Supporter Care to deliver accurate reporting.

-Work with your manager and Corporate Partnership team leadership to develop and deliver effective leadership stewardship plans

-Work with your manager to manage risk in new and existing partnerships and to ensure that Mind's corporate policy is adhered to.

-Work with your line manager to research and help develop proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners and renewals, working with the New Partnerships team.

-Assist with the organisation of events connected with the Partnerships fundraising team, and with practical tasks for other departmental events, as required.

-To work closely with Corporate Partnerships Officers across the three sub teams in Partnerships Management and wider team colleagues to share best practice, resource and learnings, and where necessary, support with partnerships

-Represent the Partnerships team in appropriate working groups, workshops and/or meetings/other events as directed.

-To undertake other duties that may from time to time be necessary, that are compatible with the nature and grade of this post.

The role will report to the Director of School Sales and Partnerships. It can be based at any of our four Brilliant Club offices, located in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President, Partnerships based in the UK, you will work closely with the teams in our dual headquarters (Toronto, Canada and London, UK), as well as programme and fundraising teams across Africa, Asia, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. You will be responsible for coordinating a variety of functions that support Right To Play’s (RTP’s) global business development and grant management strategy, supporting proposal development for new funding opportunities and grant management for existing donor partnerships. The role will also include internal support for different fundraising offices globally, to ensure joined up approaches are undertaken to secure and manage grant funding across RTP.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

#1. Funding Identification (15% of Time)

• Lead global prospecting for new business development by tracking funding opportunities, and researching suitable new funding opportunities from governments, private organizations, and foundations in line with RTP’s theory of change and organizational priorities.
• Research and understand the current funding strategies of institutional donors and philanthropic giving organisations to support strategic decision-making on new business development. This will include a focus on regional, country, and sectoral funding trends relevant to RTP’s geographic and thematic areas.
• Monitor funding opportunities and ‘calls’, ensuring that the relevant departments globally within RTP are informed in a timely manner with tailored information.
• Act as the global focal point for the internal application approval process by ensuring documentation for go/no go and proposal processes are compliant with procedures and stored in appropriate online portals.

#2. Proposal Development and Grant Management Support (30% of Time)

• Work in conjunction with relevant departments across RTP (including Global Programs, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, and Communications departments), to lead the development of different thematic and programme funding materials that will support new donor acquisition and strong donor stewardship.
• Support programme funding personnel across the organisation in the development of specific materials to assist in new business development and equip fundraisers to seek relevant funding opportunities.
• Support the development of proposals in response to specific funding opportunities as required by the Global Partnerships team and occasionally the Country Office teams, in some cases this will be leading on certain proposals.
• Support programme funding personnel across the organisation in the development of project narrative and financial reports, to ensure high standards of reporting and donor stewardship are maintained. In some cases, this will be leading on certain reports.
• Provide additional ad-hoc support to fundraising activities, personnel and offices across the organisation globally as required across the programme funding cycle to ensure strong proposal development and grant management practices are maintained. 
• Participate in, and represent, RTP in external meetings and networks as required.

#3. Data Management, System Compliance and Coordination (40% of Time)

• Track funding applications, pipelines and reports across all fundraising departments globally, using RTP’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform and other tracking tools as required.
• Work closely with fundraising offices across the organisation to ensure timely and accurate use of RTP’s CRM platform so accurate fundraising data is maintained in the system.
• Support quarterly reporting and analysis of global funding progress, funding pipelines, funding priorities, tracking against targets/objectives, and disseminate the information globally to all relevant staff.
• Support the preparation of materials (including presentations) on organisational funding performance for the senior Executive Management Teams.
• Manage internal information databases and Microsoft SharePoint sites ensuring documents related to proposals, donor reports, fundraising materials etc. are stored according to agreed protocols and disseminated across the fundraising and program delivery offices.
• Work closely with the Global Fundraising Operations Manager and Global Business Analyst to ensure the platform remains an accurate and effective database of donor information and responding to ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
• Lead on the preparation and coordination of various monthly procedures as required.

#4. Global Partnerships Team Support (10% of Time)

• Contribute to strategic discussions within the team to support planning and priorities.
• Support the planning and implementation of internal meetings and/or conferences.
• Keep up to date with the major issues pertaining to children, child rights and development, as well as the donor environment and developments within RTP.
• Additional tasks as requested by the members of the Global Partnerships Team.
• Undertake general office administrative tasks as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING (ESSENTIAL):

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in international development, political science, international relations, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years’ practical experience in managing multiple and varied projects
• 2 years’ experience in supporting proposal development and donor reporting
• Fundraising experience for not-for-profits including developing applications, securing funding from a variety of sources, and a track record of identifying and researching donors
• Demonstrated experience in building strong trust-based relationships with widely diverse

Since 2003, we have been harnessing the power of skiing & snowboarding to break down barriers, broaden horizons and address the biggest social issues facing underserved young people today.

Our accredited programmes are unique and attractive to young people who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision. Taking them from beginner to qualified snowsports instructors in just one year with volunteering and apprenticeship progression routes available at the end. Alongside learning to ski or snowboard, young people also have access to wellbeing support with the emphasis on improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

Working in the fundraising team of four, the post-holder will be taking on an exciting portfolio of existing partnerships, with scope to build strategic and creative partnerships with a range of organisations.

Transaid is an international development organisation working to transform lives through safe, available and sustainable transport. As one of the chosen charities of the transport and logistics industry, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, creative and ambitious self-starter to shape and grow Transaid’s well established corporate partnership scheme. Responsible for a portfolio of 32 corporate partners, currently contributing c. 40% of Transaid’s fundraising income, you will lead on maintaining and developing these critical relationships whilst creating and implementing new engagement opportunities.

January 2024 marked the beginning of a new organisational strategy for Transaid, with strategic partnerships (with companies both in the UK and globally) a significant part of the agenda. As well as looking to strengthen existing relationships, business development is a core part of this role.
