We’re looking for someone to coordinate our complex casework, supporting the individuals involved, seeking out, organising and creating relevant documentation, and liaising with other people and organisations involved in the case.
Your work will be primarily based within our Advocacy Service, where you’ll work with people who have been discriminated against because they stammer. The individuals seeking support from this service are often distressed by what has happened to them and need emotional support. Alongside that emotional support, to work out how best to help them and to effectively challenge what has happened, you will need to get detailed descriptions of what has happened, evidence and documentation, follow up with the person and relevant organisations regularly, and liaise with our team of legal advisors. You will also need to lead or attend occasional meetings with representatives from other organisations.
BACKGROUND
STAMMA is a forward thinking, innovative and mission-led charity punching above its weight, with a forensic focus on realigning attitudes and understanding of stammering, so that a stammer is accepted simply as a difference. We’ve a new strategic plan, supported by the National Lottery, so now couldn’t be a better time to join.
The aim of the caseworker role work is to support individuals in effectively challenging instances of discrimination. Further, the Advocacy Service seeks to use these instances as a route to working with systems and organisations to create ways of working that are more inclusive for employees, service users and customers who stammer.
The Advocacy Service is coordinated by Kirsten Howells, STAMMA’s Director of Services, and supported by a small team of dedicated volunteers.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of the Equality Act (2010) in relation to disability and the Disability Discrimination Act (1995, NI).
- Good understanding of stammering and the barriers people who stammer face in society.
- Good comprehension skills in written English, and ability to read long complex documentation.
- Ability to represent complex information in a simpler way.
- Attention to detail.
- Tenacity and ability to follow-up with individuals regularly.
- Experience of providing emotional support to individuals.
- Sufficiently comfortable to work via email, online meetings and to use the phone (so that you can use the communication route which is most comfortable or appropriate for service users).
Desirable
- It would be brilliant if you stammer, but not essential.
- It would be useful if you are a speech and language therapist with experience working with children and adults who stammer, but not essential.
- Demonstrable history working in a similar role within the charity/NGO sector.

DUTIES
Case management
- Be the initial point of contact for new cases coming into the Advocacy Service.
- Gather detailed case information and documentation
- Support and develop the volunteer team in becoming key points of contact for individuals in straightforward cases.
- Be the primary point of contact for individuals in complex cases.
- Review complex documentation and prepare case summaries for our legal team.
- Liaise with our team of legal advisors to seek guidance in relevant cases.
- Attend case-related online meetings with service users.
- Advocate for service users in meetings with employers or other organisations.
- Present pros and cons of different actions and support service users to make informed choices about what actions they want to take in their case.
- Take on complex cases in STAMMA’s Employment and Helpline Services when required.
Reporting & tracking
- Work with Director of Services to create tracking and reporting systems for cases.
- Gather feedback from service users.
- Monitor and analyse service performance, to support a culture of improvement.
- Develop 4 ‘impact stories’ highlighting the difference the Advocacy Service has made to service users and organisations.

Flexible working
We have an office in London which you can work from full or part time. Otherwise, staff meet virtually at noon on Thursdays, and physically every 6-8 weeks or so in London. Occasionally, you may be asked to work weekends and evenings to attend online or in person events but will be offered time off in lieu.
Pension
Nest pension scheme. STAMMA will pay a minimum contribution of 5% and will match contributions up to 8%. Employees must pay a minimum of 5%.

The post-holder will maintain a manageable caseload of clients needing support with their welfare rights and benefits. The role is to support the Welfare Rights Advice Project Team with the following:
- To carry out an initial client assessment, identifying any issues with their benefits and any claims they can make to maximise their income.
- Provide casework (including challenging decisions) for welfare benefits available to clients with mental health difficulties and their carers: i.e. Personal Independence Payments, Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance and Housing Benefit.
- Provide information and advice as appropriate about issues related to a client’s particular situation.
- Provide advice and casework for mobility and discretionary schemes and personal grants that could be of benefit to clients.
- Take referrals directly from service users, carers or staff from other agencies (encouraging use of our online referral form)
- Signpost and refer clients to agencies that assist with transition from hospital to community living, or to tackle social isolation and improve mental wellbeing.
- Maintain records in accordance with Hear Us policies and procedures, including the handling of confidential and private documents and keeping written and computer records up to date and secure.
- Liaise with GPs, CMHT’s and other agencies to obtain supporting documents, by telephone, letter and e-mail.
- Taking confidential telephone messages from clients and outside agencies.
- Take part in weekly WRAP team meetings regarding case allocation, and stay up to date with changes in benefits legislation.
- Attend regular supervision and yearly appraisals with line manager.
- Assist WRAP manager to write reports and evaluate the project for funding bids and to support and promote the project.
- Collect and distribute flyers and leaflets for signposting purposes.
- Attend Hear Us staff meetings, staff development days, and other Hear Us events (e.g. Hear Us Open Forum) where directed by line manager.

Role Summary
Beyond Sport is seeking a dedicated Grants Manager to lead our end-to-end grant-making process across our global programmes. This partner-facing role will lead all grant application processes, including due diligence, approvals and agreements as well as grantee relationship management through the life cycle of the grant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a truly global organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team in both the US and the UK, reporting to the Senior Programme Manager (UK). The position will support the strategic programme implementation and work alongside specialists in the team on Monitoring and Evaluation and Events & Capacity-Building.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Management
- Lead on all communication with grantees (and award recipients) across programmes.
- Manage grantee payment and reporting schedules with clear expectations and communications.
- Build and own the organisation's system of communicating with grantees (and award recipients).
- Collaborate with Finance on grantee bank account details, payments, and invoicing.
- Coordinate with the team to support grantees through marketing, events, and capacity building opportunities. Work cross-team to support grantees to fulfil monitoring and evaluation of grant requirements, insight surveys and financial reports where needed.
- Maintain the grantee CRM database, ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date, and easy to use.
Grantee Selection Process
- Manage the grant application process from start to finish for funding and award programmes.
- Lead the preparation of all grant applications including fund design, funding criteria, design of application and review scoring process.
- Responsible for supporting potential applicants during the open application period.
- Lead on all tasks required once the application process is closed, including collating and summarising applications, scoring and recommendations and due diligence.
- Coordinate with external expert advisors, judges or participatory panels with transparency around roles, timelines and compensation.
- Draft and process the signing of grantee approvals and agreements engaging with the Board of Trustees in grantee approvals where needed.
- Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation Lead on key data from selection processes to inform the Beyond Sport Measurement Framework and learning.
- Manage the system of storing relevant up-to-date application information in our CRM database.
Miscellaneous
- Where required manage and support specific global programme or awards including partnerships management and design.
- Advise and support the development of the Beyond Sport Awards.
- Understand new trends in grant-making and recommend new approaches to processes.
- Contribute to organisational strategy and objectives.
- Support with agreements for consultants, advisory groups and judging panels for experts supporting grant-making for both UK and US programmes.
- Support business development with opportunities which rely heavily on grant-making or award-making.
- Support back donors and key stakeholders' relationship management across Beyond Sport’s funded programmes.
You will have:
- 4 years’ experience working in a charity or foundation with focus on grant management and application processes.
- Experience with diverse grant-making approaches such as participatory grant-making or grant-making to social enterprises.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem‐solving skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively.
- An empathetic approach to partners’ priorities and objectives.

The Role

Our Data Operations Managers sit within Product and Systems Management team.
Our Data Operations Managers have a key role in ensuring our end to end processes are working through our central CRM system. These processes include the processing of our income through the system such as Gift Aid, regular giving and special events, Direct Debits.
This role also ensures our end to end data flows are fit for purpose and that data within it are clean, accessible and available.
This role is responsible for:
- Custodian of our CRM data and responsible for major data import/export into the system including data validation, de-duplication, cleansing and fixing of data throughout the multiple data systems.
- Responsible for the curation and management of import and export routines of key fundraising data using appropriate tools.
- Responsible for forming and managing how the functions work within the Organisation to build key relationships with key data users to ensure data is correctly ingested
- Responsible for defining and setting standards and principles of data use in the system and fully enforcing these principles across the Organisation and to suppliers.
- Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
For this role we’re looking for:
- SQL (SSIS, SSRS) knowledge
- Knowledge of Dynamics CRM 365 and associated technology
- Working knowledge of KingswaySoft
- Knowledge of deduplication techniques

About the role:
This role's primary purpose is to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of Respect's training programmes. About the team

About the role
As our Data Operations Manager, you will ensure the accuracy and efficient management of data imports and core income processes such as the Direct Debit and Gift Aid claims. You will work closely with key stakeholders in Performance and Insight, Finance and Mass Engagement to drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the day-to-day data operations (including data imports, Direct Debit submissions, submitting Gift Aid claims to HMRC)
- Line Manage two Data Operations Officers, providing support, coaching and mentoring
- Manage the workload and responsibilities of the Data Operations Team, ensuring that tasks are carried out on schedule and within agreed SLAs
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy through automation or system enhancements
- Build strong operational relationships with key stakeholders in the Data Engineering and CRM teams, as well as with WaterAid’s third party agencies, to identify areas for improvements and rapid problem fixing, particularly in relation to managing data rejects
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Strong experience of using relational database packages and working with large and complex data sets

Corporate Partnerships Manager
Contract type: Maternity Cover (12 months fixed term, full time), 35 hours per week
Location: UK hybrid working – a minimum of 40 % of working time is spent face‑to‑face (London office in Canary Wharf, external meetings or travel).
60/40 hybrid working at WaterAid means roughly three days wherever you work best and two days together in person.

The Corporate Partnerships Team harnesses the power of the private sector through strategic relationships that raise much needed funds for WaterAid’s life-changing work.
About the role
As our Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will manage new and existing corporate partnerships and our payroll giving scheme to foster powerful partnerships that drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Proactively manage new and existing corporate partners, ensuring that each partner is appropriately supported and is reaching its full potential.
- Manage WaterAid’s Payroll Giving scheme including managing relationships with Professional Fundraising Organisations and Payroll Giving Agencies.
- Monitor partner-funded programme KPIs and budgets and ensure high quality reporting.
- Work with and make presentations to a range of contact types within our corporate partners.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Education to degree level or equivalent work experience in relevant areas.
- A track record of Partnership Management including proven experience of growing and developing partnerships with companies.
- Experience of writing high quality and engaging proposals and reports for a corporate audience as well as experience of making presentations to senior level contacts and / or large groups of employees.
- Able to forge effective working relationships with people at all levels inside and outside the organisation and across a range of industries and differing business cultures.
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Knowledge of international development and understanding of overseas development issues.
- Experience of developing corporate accounts over £100,000.
- Experience of Payroll Giving scheme.

An impactful opportunity has arisen for a skilled data professional to join a forward-thinking charity as a Data Operations Manager. This role is central to ensuring the integrity and efficiency of data systems that underpin vital services, fundraising, and engagement activities.
The Opportunity
The organisation is undergoing a significant digital transformation, including the implementation of a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system and a suite of modern data tools. This role plays a key part in embedding these systems and ensuring data is clean, accessible, and effectively used across the organisation.
The Data Operations Manager will be responsible for managing data flows, supporting income processing, and maintaining high standards of data governance. This is a strategic role with clear progression opportunities, such as into a System Lead role.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the custodian of CRM data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Manage data import/export routines for key supporter and fundraising data
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data is correctly ingested and utilised
- Support income processing through the CRM, including Gift Aid, direct debits, and events
- Define and enforce data standards and best practices across the organisation
- Maintain legacy systems and support third-line CRM queries as needed
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong experience with SQL (SSIS, SSRS) and data management tools
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
- Expertise in data validation, de-duplication, and cleansing techniques
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Benefits and Progression
- Structured salary progression - £35,825 per annum, increasing to £38,065 after 6 months service and satisfactory performance and to £40,304 after a further 6 months (which can keep increasing to £50,000 at annual reviews).
