We’re looking for a part-time Trusts Fundraising Officer to contribute their skills, experience, and personality to add value to our Trusts team within the Fundraising department at Blesma, The Limbless Veterans.

This home-based role is now available due to the current post holder moving on to new pastures. The Trust team has had incredible success in recent years, which we are eager to sustain and grow. The successful candidate will provide support to the Trusts Fundraising Manager and work alongside a fellow part-time Trusts Fundraising Officer within this ambitious team.

The role is a varied one, focusing on all aspects of the funding cycle – from identifying opportunities and building relationships, to writing compelling applications and providing high level stewardship. The team works collaboratively across the Association to ensure Blesma’s programmes and services can continue to help limbless veterans and their families.

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

The Role

Following an exciting period of growth, CoppaFeel! is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join our expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in charity finance and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our financial operations.

You’ll be working closely with our Director of Finance and Senior Finance Manager to help manage CoppaFeel!’s day-to-day finances and contribute to a range of essential finance functions. As part of a newly developed finance team, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact as we shape our systems and processes to support our continued growth.

We’re looking for someone with experience working in a finance role, ideally within a small team or charity environment. You’ll need to be confident using accounting software (we use Xero), have strong Excel skills, and be comfortable working independently. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the success of our mission.

This role can be full time of part time with a minimum of 26.25 hours per week.

This role sits within the Finance team and reports to the Senior Finance Manager. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Month end tasks

• Reconcile all bank accounts, fixed asset register, depreciation, payables and receivables
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support the posting and review of month-end journals
• Assist in the preparation of weekly payment runs and reports
• Support the administration/checking of the pensions and employee benefits
• Maintaining accurate records restricted fund transactions

Quarterly tasks

• Prepare and submit basic VAT returns
• Assist with Gift Aid claims and ensure accurate donor Gift Aid records are maintained

Stakeholder

• Oversee and provide cover for the Finance Assistant, ensuring smooth processing of donations via fundraising platforms
• Collaborate with the CRM Officer and Fundraising Team to ensure accurate donation records
• Provide finance-related support and training to staff, including inductions and updates to finance policies

Procurement

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions (including systems)
• Support creating, maintaining and checking procurement checklist in accordance to policy
• Supporting in value for money costings and basic ROI’s

Other tasks

• Support with the annual audit and annual report
• Work closely with the Operations Team and others on cross-organisational projects
• Undertake general administrative and ad-hoc finance tasks, including handling finance post, banking, event support, and processing physical Gift Aid/sponsorship forms
• Undertake any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as required by the Charity, in line with the needs of the organisation.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Experience working in a small finance team with responsibility for a broad range of finance tasks
• Excellent numeracy skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, aligned with the team’s strategic objectives
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team and provide support to colleagues

Desirable

• Experience of working within a charity or non for profit organisation

We are seeking a Dementia Carers Support Officer who can make a positive difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the diverse communities of Redbridge. We are a Queen's Award winning charity with over 30 years experience of supporting unpaid carers in Redbridge. The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. We work in partnership with the teams on the wards, paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and in outpatient clinics. Our charity provides support and resources for patients, families and staff, as well as funding lifesaving medical equipment, accommodation - so that parents can stay close to their child during an admission, toys and entertainment for the playroom and improvements to the facilities to create the best possible environment for families to promote their wellbeing during what can often be a very challenging time. Main Duties and Responsilbilties 

Community and Events Fundraising

• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at lower to mid-level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys.

Supporter Care

• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.

• Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

• Maintain our CRM database ensuring accurate records to track communications, income, and supporter preferences, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws. 

Administrative and Financial Support

• Process cash and cheque donations, Gift Aid and matched funding claims, ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database.

• Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets.

• Overseeing our online shop.

Marketing and Communication

• Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), social media content and e-newsletters to inspire participation in fundraising activities.

• Produce impact reports and collate information for the HOF to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.

• Ensure fundraising and associated webpages are kept up to date. Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the wider team (when required) to support in-hospital and community events as well as assisting with tasks as needed to ensure smooth charity operations.

Additional Information

Salary is £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE). The role covers 37.5 hours per week. Two days per week working in our charity office at Royal Brompton Hospital - London, and the remaining hours to be worked remotely. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar. One-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend contract length subject to performance and funding.

About the Departments:

Both roles sit within the Cathedral and Church Buildings (CCB) Department, which supports the care and sustainable development of the Church of England's 42 cathedrals and 16,000 church buildings, of which 12,500 are listed, to help fulfil the vision and strategy of the Church of England. It also supports dioceses with the disposal of church buildings no longer required for worship and finding them a new future. Through advice, guidance, advocacy and fundraising, the Department provides strategic support on conservation and caring for historic church buildings, making change to support worship and communities, and working towards Net Zero Carbon 2030. Members of the Department engage with dioceses, parishes and cathedral teams, as well as nationally with government, agencies, charities, funders, General Synod and across the National Church Institutions to make the case for church buildings and their vital role in worship, community and national life.

Buildings for Mission team

The Buildings for Mission project is an initiative of the Department funded by the Church Commissioners from the 2023-25 triennium allocations. It is providing £11m of support to dioceses and parishes through advice and grants, structured around three main activities. The Church Buildings Support Officers (CBSO) Grant Scheme supports salary and related costs for new posts to provide advice to parishes on repair and maintenance and on developing the wider use and support for churches through community engagement. The Minor Repairs and Improvements Grants Fund is devolving £6.2m to dioceses to distribute in the form of grants for urgent and necessary small-scale repair projects or improvement projects. The Church Buildings Management Partnerships (CBMPs) initiative aims at the formation of partnerships to provide maintenance and insurance services to member churches. Pilot projects are being grant-aided over the period 2025-26.

The Grants Officer role within the Buildings for Mission team will provide a responsive service for the grant schemes under the Buildings for Mission initiative:

• The Church Buildings Support Officers (CBSO) Grant Scheme,
• The Minor Repairs and Improvements Grants Fund, and
• The Church Buildings Management Partnerships (CBMP) pilots.

Net Zero Carbon Programme

The Net Zero Carbon Programme was established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030. The team manages the distribution of a grant portfolio worth £190 million across 2023-31, aimed at supporting and equipping dioceses, parishes and other parts of the Church to reach the milestones set out in the Routemap to Net Zero 2030.

The Grants Officer role within the Net Zero Carbon programme will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Net Zero Carbon Programme's grant streams, supporting it in delivering a consistent and responsive service to grantees.

In both roles, duties will include:

• Assisting the Grants Manager with general operation and oversight of the schemes
• Providing a knowledgeable and responsive service to dioceses as first point of contact for the grant schemes
• Handling general enquiries and pre-application engagement, assessing and responding to expressions of interest from prospective applicants
• Handling a caseload of live grants

Key role requirements:

• For the Buildings for Mission role, the post-holder will be required to come into the primary office location (Church House) or another NCI or diocesan office location (subject to agreement with relevant office management) a minimum of one day per week.
• For the Net Zero Carbon Programme role, the post-holder will required to be home-based, with regular meetings in Church House Westminster and occasional travel elsewhere (up to two days per month).
• These are both fixed-term contracts, Buildings for Mission team (12 month contract) and Net Zero Carbon Programme (12 month contract). There is a possibility that these contract lengths could be extended to the end of 2028, but this is dependant on further funding being agreed.
• You will need to have knowledge/experience of historic and/or natural environment conservation or heritage management OR experience working in the environment or sustainability sector (depending on which role you choose to apply for).
• Both roles require good written/spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work well both on own initiative and good analytical skills.

Fundraising Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented fundraising team

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Officer to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will support the High Value Partnerships Manager and Community Fundraising Manager, both of which are already well-established income streams with lots of great potential. It’s a great opportunity to work across varied income streams including Corporate, Trusts & Grants, Community, Fundraising Events and Individual/Regular Giving.

Hours:  37 hours per week (negotiable for the right candidate)

Purpose of the role

• Reporting to the High Value Partnerships Manager you will provide support across our two priority Fundraising streams – Community Fundraising (Community, Events and Individual/Regular Giving) and High Value Partnerships (Trusts, Grants, Corporate and Sponsorship).
• Conducting prospect research (Corporate and Trusts/Grants) creating a pipeline of targeted opportunities, and submitting applications for lower level funding
• Providing excellent relationship management to those in our community who fundraise for us, whether that’s as a Regular Giver or Marathon runner
• Providing support to the Manager planning Fundraising Events, recruiting participants, attending and cheering on our fundraisers and thanking our supporters

The ideal candidate will have experience either in supporting the delivery of High Value partnerships or Community Fundraising. They will be able to demonstrate how they have researched partnerships and/or submitted funding applications, providing excellent stewardship and creating meaningful partnerships that lead to long term support for the charity.

About The Role

The London Wetland Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Officer to join to the team.  This role will help drive visitation to London Wetland Centre, raise brand awareness and increase engagement across social media platforms.

The role will focus on creating engaging content, delivering PR, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver agreed marketing and communications activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the Senior Visitor Marketing Manager to create multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive visitation to London Wetland Centre and enhance WWT brand awareness.
• Creating and delivering the centre’s PR activities, maximising local and regional media opportunities by developing excellent media contacts, creating engaging copy for editorial coverage, and supervising media site visits.
• Managing all social media channels and creating engaging content to, drive visitation, promote events, and engage visitors with our conservation work.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Some weekend working will be required (approximately 1 in every 4) as part of the Duty Management Rota.

About You

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and digitally-focused Marketing Officer.

You will possess the following attributes and skills:

The post holder should be educated to degree level, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, ideally in a business or marketing related discipline.  They will also have demonstrable experience of digital marketing, social media management and media relations as this is essential to the role.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support our team with a range of administrative and project-based tasks. The Membership and Learning team is dedicated to developing, co-creating, and delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences that foster creativity, curiosity and critical thinking in philanthropy and grant making. In this dynamic role, you'll be involved in organising conferences and meetings, hosting webinars, managing key projects, and building strong relationships across the network. Your work will be a blend of project coordination, event management, and administration, ensuring our learning initiatives run smoothly and effectively.  

Our members vary from very small teams with two or three staff to well established very well- resourced foundations. The Membership and Learning team are the contact point for all community foundations. You will be supporting the team to: answer members’ enquiries, champion best practice and raise standards. 

Working closely with other teams including Communications, Business Development and Programmes, the Membership and Learning team has an oversight of all UKCF activity relating to our members. 

The ability to listen, problem solve and engage others is critical. You'll bring strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a diverse and dynamic workload, supporting a range of projects across both the membership network and the UKCF team.
