The role will be hybrid (after settling in period) and ideally you will be based in North Wales as we have office facilities available in Bangor or Aberduna. There will be regular travel to off-site meetings.

Who we are looking for

• An experienced senior manager with degree (or degree-equivalent qualification).

• Experience of organisational leadership within a financially accountable organisation, whether in the charitable, public, or private sector.

• Proven commercial strategy / business experience, with the ability to generate and manage diverse income streams, including through partnerships, grants, trading, or other business related activities.

• Experience with a wide range of stakeholders and partners and working with them to achieve programme aims.

• Strong data and IT abilities 

• Good public speaker with strong presentational skills

• Excellent Project Management experience

• A strong understanding of environmental issues, with a broad overview of key aspects of ecology, conservation, agriculture, fishing, climate change and other environmental pressures.

Welsh language skills are not essential for this role but are highly desirable. We expect the successful candidate, if not already fluent, to be committed to learning Welsh and to demonstrate a strong understanding of and support for Welsh culture, which is integral to our work in land management and nature recovery.

Programme Oversight
While you won’t be managing projects day-to-day, you’ll provide strategic oversight of our key initiatives—including OxFarmtoFork and our journey toward Sustainable Food Places Gold accreditation. You’ll ensure our programmes are well-resourced, aligned with our mission, and delivering meaningful impact across the county.

Community Wealth Building & Social Enterprise Support
You’ll champion inclusive economic models that empower communities and strengthen the local food system. Supporting social enterprises and community-led initiatives will be central to your work, helping build a food economy that’s fair, resilient, and locally rooted.

Stakeholder Engagement

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Community Rehabilitation Service. The team plays a pivotal role in generating and overseeing referrals for our frontline services whilst managing all children and young people placement-related activity. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Senior Business Development Marketing Manager to drive referral generating activity through both business development and marketing activity. This may include direct mail and advertising campaigns, both on and offline, through to organising and attending events, both those hosted by other organisations and our own. You’ll play an important role in supporting coordination of and delivery of this activity.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate:

• An understanding of business development and marketing, ideally be in a services-oriented environment but this is not essential.
• Experience in implementing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns – both on and offline, whether to consumers (B2C), professionals (B2B), or government departments/professionals (B2G).

Headway North Staffordshire supports adults whose lives have been changed by an acquired brain injury. From helping people re-learn daily tasks, to providing access to therapies, or simply offering a place where individuals feel understood, they deliver support that often isn't available through statutory services.

About the role

As CEO, you'll be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational delivery, and long-term sustainability of the charity. Key duties and responsibilities

· In conjunction with the board, lead the creation of a new strategy for the charity and develop and implement appropriate business and financial plans, with clear objectives and outcomes and to operationalise the strategy, ensuring all activities are aligned to achieve the strategy. 

· Develop and implement a new income generation strategy, including building relationships with funders, and strengthening and growing our individual giving programme to put the charity on the path to becoming financially self-sustaining.

· Work with the Campaigns Manager to continue the delivery of high quality campaigns to make London a better city for older people and position Age UK London; and ensure campaigns are grounded in evidence and the views and experiences of older Londoners.  

• Ensure that the Charity maintains relationships with all appropriate external stakeholders so that our campaigns are successful and the voices of older Londoners are heard in decision making, and to oversee the delivery of our external communications plan.
• Have overall responsibility for the lawful and efficient operation of the Charity including overseeing our outsourced finance function, governance; regulatory reporting; legal and regulatory compliance; HR, premises, insurances, IT and all other operational matters. 
• Maintain our relationships with local London Age UKs via our existing networks and regional structures.
• Ensure appropriate reporting to the board with necessary analysis, (risk/benefits/resources) clearly presented to allow the board to discharge its governance function.
• Line management of the Campaigns Manager and Marketing & Communications Officer.

Experience

Essential 

• Experience managing the operational  and financial aspects of a small charity.
• Proven ability to build relationships with funders and secure grant income linked to campaigning activity.
• Practical senior level experience in campaigning to make sustainable change.
• Some experience of working directly with trustees is needed but this does not have to be as a CEO.

Desirable

• Experience acting as the “public face” of a campaigning organisation interfacing with the media, politicians and other stakeholders.

We are seeking a Programme Officer to help develop and deliver our programme of activities. Job description

We are seeking to appoint a team player with a background in education or programme delivery,  who is well-organised and an efficient administrator, with excellent inter-personal skills. They must be intellectually curious with strong research abilities, and are confident and articulate communicators. This role will be responsible for managing the delivery of our cohort programmes including currently: Youth & Democracy, Rule of Law, and Gen Z and the City. There is scope for the development of new programme areas, including working with the arts and our public history project, as we respond to contemporary challenges.

Job Description:

· Work with the Programme team, to design and deliver educational resources, workshops and conferences including our Youth & Democracy, Rule of Law, and intergenerational change programme areas;

· Deliver Exploring Ethics and other Cumberland Lodge workshops as requested;

· Identify potential partners and collaborate with stakeholders related to programme activity;

· Produce funding proposals;

· Produce and/or editing briefing papers and reports when required;

· Produce digital content for online learning and engage regularly with the community engagement platform, including identifying topics, producing webinars and podcasts;

· Act as Duty Officer for 8 weekends (involving, if required, giving welcome talks, leading Exploring Ethics Sessions, and escorting groups to the Royal Chapel). Accommodation is provided on these weekends.

· Attend departmental, staff, and ad hoc planning meetings

· Work with the Communications team to produce website and social media content relating to the Programme.

· Carry out history tours and welcome talks for external guests.

· Carry out other tasks as may be reasonably required to facilitate Cumberland Lodge’s work.

Person specification

You’ll have:

Essential Criteria:

· Undergraduate degree in a relevant social science or humanities discipline;

· Experience working with young people and youth organisations;

· Experience of facilitating group discussion in a learning environment;

· Experience of project and event organisation and management, from inception to evaluation;

The successful candidate will have a graduate qualification as a minimum requirement, in a relevant social science or humanities discipline, as the role will involve developing programmes with academic content. Working with young people, and experience designing and delivering teaching and/or training material, in formal and/or non-formal education settings, is also an essential criteria.

Desirable Criteria:

· Postgraduate degree in a relevant social science or humanities discipline;

· Conducting research into programme content;

· Design and delivery of online educational material (e.g. podcasting, Arc GIS Storymaps, animations etc).

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Based at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park. (Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport). 

Hybrid working available, with a minimum 3 days a week in the office.

The role requires flexible working.  There will be some weekend and evening duties, including programme events, facilitating workshops for visiting groups, talks and tours of the Lodge (shared on a rota basis). Accommodation will be provided on site when evening work is required.

Job Title: Cathedral Safeguarding Officer

Reports to: Canon Precentor

Key Relationships: As part of their role, the CSO will work closely with the Cathedral Safeguarding Lead (Canon Precentor), the Diocesan Safeguarding Team including the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) and the Diocesan Safeguarding Executive Committee (SEC); volunteer cathedral safeguarding representatives (CRs); all other relevant stakeholders including Director of Music, Chapter, Residentiary Canons, staff, the Senior Leadership Team and Cathedral Safeguarding Committee. In addition, the post-holder will work with all relevant external agencies, e.g., CofE National Safeguarding Team (NST), Police and Probation services, local authorities, Domestic Abuse Services.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £30,000 (£50,000 pro-rata)

Hours of Work: 21 hours per week – over 3 days

Role Overview

The role of the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer is to maintain and build on the strong culture of safeguarding at Southwark Cathedral and carry out an effective safeguarding role as a key visible member of the Cathedral team. The role holder will promote awareness and understanding throughout the Cathedral community (staff, volunteers and worshippers) of the needs of children and vulnerable adults and actively promote the philosophy that their interests are paramount.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and implementation of Cathedral safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy and training. The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will make sure that safeguarding risks are appropriately managed and ensure that the Cathedral is applying any emerging national policies, procedures and best practice so that our ways of working continue to remain current.

NB: The successful applicant will play a leading role in the preparation for the upcoming INEQE safeguarding audit of Southwark Cathedral and Southwark Diocese scheduled June 2026. They will be supported in this aim by the appointed INEQE action group.

The role carries responsibility for safeguarding casework, including ensuring that allegations of abuse are promptly and appropriately handled, and where appropriate referred to the statutory authorities. Further, the role holder will effectively communicate and engage with survivors and victims of abuse.

The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer will advise the Cathedral on all safeguarding matters ensuring that all advice is in line with the law, government guidance and national policy and guidance from the House of Bishops. They will be supported in their role by three experienced volunteer cathedral safeguarding representatives who offer knowledge and experience of the cathedral. They will work collaboratively with peers in the Diocese and the National Safeguarding Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Key Duties

1. To lead the Cathedral’s work on the following National Standards:

· Organisational culture, leadership and capacity - Church bodies have safe and healthy cultures, effective leadership, resourcing and scrutiny arrangements necessary to deliver high-quality safeguarding practices and outcomes.

· Prevention - Church bodies have in place a planned range of measures which together are effective in preventing abuse in their context.

· Responding to and managing risk - Risk assessments, safety plans and associated processes are of a high quality and result in positive outcomes. The assessment and management of risk is underpinned by effective partnership working.

· Victims and survivors - Victims and survivors experience the timeliness and quality of Church bodies' responses to disclosures, and their subsequent support, as positively meeting their needs, including their search for justice and helping their healing process.

· Learning, supervision and support – All those engaged in safeguarding-related activity in Church bodies receive the type and level of learning, professional development, support and supervision necessary to respond to safeguarding situations, victims and survivors, and respondents, effectively.

2. To provide in person safeguarding training for Cathedral volunteers & staff.

3. To work closely with the Director of Music and the Sub-Dean to ensure that the children and young people in the cathedral choirs and Sunday school are effectively safeguarded

4. To be responsible for recording, investigating and managing all Safeguarding concerns;

5. To assist the CSL with production of monthly and annual safeguarding reports and to attend Chapter (as required) and Committee Meetings (as directed).

6. To assist in the production of risk assessments, policies and procedures where there are safeguarding aspects to them.

7. To provide advice in relation to obtaining criminal record checks (DBSs) for staff and volunteers.

8. To work collaboratively with the National Safeguarding Team (NST) and other Church of England Safeguarding Officers and attend national safeguarding events and activities as required.

9. To engage in professional supervision and quality assurance provided by the relevant NST Regional Safeguarding Lead.

10. To participate in performance reviews and appraisals

11. To ensure that professional skills are regularly updated through participation in training and development activities

12. Any other duties and responsibilities as may be required by Chapter.
