About the role

As Public Affairs and Influencing Manager, you will lead our political engagement work in Northern Ireland and Ireland. You will know how policy change happens — and how to bring the right people along. This isn't just about having the right contacts (though that helps). You will play a key role in helping us to build on our well established position in Northern Ireland, and develop our approach in Ireland, shaping our strategies, partnerships, and our approach to making change happen. This role is for someone who can map the landscape, identify who holds power and influence, and design smart, creative strategies to get us to impact — all while staying grounded in the voices and needs of children and families.

In this role, you will: 

• Build and manage relationships with political and policy stakeholders to raise Save the Children's profile and influence key decisions.

• Develop and deliver public affairs strategies rooted in a clear analysis of power, opportunity and pathways to change.

• Design evidence-based policy proposals that reflect the realities of children and families and translate them into action for decision-makers.

• Collaborate with colleagues across media, participation, and partnerships to align influencing efforts and amplify our collective impact.

• Represent Save the Children to politicians, officials, coalitions and media, with confidence and credibility.

• Support engagement with children and families to ensure their voices inform and drive our advocacy.

About you

About the Role

Gaddum is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to provide maternity cover for a key leadership role. This is a time-limited opportunity to contribute to the delivery and evaluation of one of Greater Manchester’s most ambitious adult social care transformation programmes: the Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF). In GM, our projects focus on improving the identification and support for unpaid carers through the hospital discharge pathway and improving community-based care arrangements via Shared Lives schemes.

As Senior Project Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining delivery momentum, nurturing established relationships, and supporting the system-wide monitoring and evaluation of the programme. You’ll bring excellent coordination, stakeholder engagement, and evaluation skills, ensuring that business as usual continues smoothly and that Gaddum plays its full role in enabling the GM system to capture and evidence the impact of the ARF.

Job Purpose

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) provides expert oversight and support across the ARF projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective delivery. As per their job title, they project manage the infrastructure element of the entire GM programme.

They coordinate efforts across various sectors, manage stakeholder engagement, and are responsible for the integrated approach to risk management, data governance, and financial oversight. The role is accountable to Gaddum’s CEO, and reports to them. It has been central in ensuring the successful execution of GM's vision and objectives for the ARF.

Key Responsibilities

Continued and Strong Programme Delivery
• Maintain oversight and coordination of ARF activities on behalf of Gaddum, ensuring that timelines, risks, and communications are effectively managed.
• Chair or coordinate relevant meetings, workshops, and learning sessions with partners across health, social care, VCSE, and lived experience networks.
• Support the continuation of established coproduction approaches and ensure that lived experience remains central to the delivery of the programme.
• Maintain key project documentation including risk registers, action logs, and shared work plans.
• Provide line management to the Project Administrator, ensuring effective consortium secretariat and communication functions are upheld.
• Provide regular updates to the project’s Senior Lead within the Adult Social Care Transformation Team in NHS GM Integrated Care.
• Oversee the work of the ARF Lived Experience Coordinator (line managed by the Engagement and Coproduction Service Manager) to ensure this workstream is effectively aligned with the overall ARF project strategy and timeline.

Evaluation and Impact
• Lead, as the Greater Manchester system infrastructure, the development and delivery of an end-of-programme learning and evaluation event, currently planned for March – April 2026.
• Contribute to regular reporting cycles and ensure Gaddum’s role in evaluation is clearly communicated to stakeholders and commissioners.
• Act as a lead point of contact for evaluation activities, both locally and nationally, working closely with Ipsos, the national evaluation partner.
• Support system partners to engage meaningfully in the development of the GM Theory of Change, ensuring relevant data and insights are gathered and shared.
• Coordinate data collation and reporting in collaboration with the consortium, supporting the integration of data systems where needed, and ensuring alignment with governance and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationships
• Sustain the strong and positive relationships with local authorities, health and care organisations, the VCSE sector, and carers’ networks.
• Provide advice, challenge, and coordination to ensure consistent and inclusive engagement across the partnership.
• Escalate emerging issues or risks to the CEO and consortium where necessary, supporting collaborative problem-solving.

Financial and Contractual Support
• Work closely with Manchester City Council’s finance leads and Gaddum’s internal team to track spend, support monitoring returns, and ensure financial accountability.
• Contract manage and support the appointed creative agency leading on our Shared Lives marketing and communications campaign.
Other key tasks & responsibilities of the role
• Line Management: Supervise the Project Administrator, ensuring they provide effective secretariat responsibilities for the consortium.
• Risk Management: Keep stakeholders well-informed about risks, strategies, and progress. With the consortium, co-design and manage risk register elements, providing rapid escalation of issues to the CEO and consortium, developing solutions where necessary.
• Troubleshooting: Take all reasonable steps to enable system partners to identify barriers and develop solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain ongoing feedback loops, making necessary adjustments to the project’s approach based on stakeholder input and real-world outcomes.
• Coordination of reporting: Work closely with SCIE and GM ARF stakeholders to ensure data integration and reporting, aligning regional data
with national datasets and performance metrics.
• Contracting and Compliance: Ensure adherence to contracting and compliance requirements, maintaining robust monitoring and reporting systems
• Systems Change Facilitation: Lead on systems change initiatives, ensuring that all project components are aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the ARF programme.

Membership & Communications Manager

3-4 days per week

£35,000-£45,000 pro rata and subject to experience

Mainly remote (at least initially), with in-person attendance required at monthly team meetings and in-person membership related events which may take place at differing locations, across the UK.

Purpose of the Role

The Membership & Communications Manager is a new part time role at the School Partnerships Alliance, reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with our Executive Assistant. You will join us at an exciting time as we develop our new organisational strategy and expand our current school membership offer. As this is a new position this post does not currently have direct reports, but there may be an opportunity to recruit additional team member(s) as the organisation continues to grow over the next 12-18 months. You will be required to work closely with both our CEO and Director of Programmes and Research to lead on the development and delivery of the membership strategy, both stewarding and growing our membership base year on year. You will also be required to manage our new website, provide support with our social media, and ensure that all member communications align with both our brand values and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a new, robust membership strategy that supports the S.P.A.’s key objectives. This will include new member acquisition, current member retention and ensuring that stewardship of school members is effective and fit for purpose. You will work with the Director of Programmes and Research to help deliver a credible school partnerships CPD programme and collaborate with the wider S.P.A. team to create a tangible, attractive membership offer (both on and off-line) that will bring schools together, challenge existing partnership practice and support new thinking.
• Actively identify, solicit and enrol new schools as members, building and maintaining an evolving pipeline of new membership prospects.
• Plan and prepare for meetings with current and potential members and accompany CEO and/or Director of Programmes and Research to cultivation meetings where appropriate.
• Be the first point of call for all members and with the support of the Executive Assistant to the CEO, oversee the processing of all new membership applications, renewals and invoices and ensure all enquiries from existing and prospective members are responded to in a timely manner.
• Work with the wider team to confirm a calendar of membership events across the school year. These will take place both online and/or in locations across the UK, so occasional travel will be required.
• Oversee the membership budget and provide quarterly income forecasts and reports to the CEO and Trustees, monitoring and reporting against income targets.
• Build and maintain partnerships with wider S.P.A. stakeholders to include external school membership organisations, MATs and S.P.A. trustees.
• Empower S.P.A. staff and our trustee board to support membership development, utilising their talents and networks effectively.
• Lead on the preparation of high-quality digital membership communication and related marketing and event materials.
• Oversee the establishment of an appropriate administration system to ensure effective membership tracking, due diligence, and to ensure that the S.P.A. has a robust, professional approach to member stewardship.

About the Role

MSI seeks a Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager for the WISH2 WACA programme. As part of the project management team, the  Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager (GPPM)  will contribute to the fulfilment of an MSI-led consortium’s mission, taking responsibility for the management of sub-contracts for a number of consortium partners, supporting them to deliver their commitments under the project (including payment by results KPIs), ensuring adherence to donor compliance standards, and the delivery of internal commitments under the project by MSI’s Global Support Office.  In addition, the GPPM will lead project management support for a portfolio of MSI country programmes, working closely with MSI’s Africa team, and WISH2 Country Project Leads supporting consortium KPI monitoring, risk management, work-planning and monitoring. 

In addition, s/he will lead on key pieces of work under the project results verification and learning component that the Evidence & Learning Partner (E&L) has responsibility for, coordinating technical inputs across key thematic areas (e.g. advocacy, social norms, disability inclusion etc…), interacting with technical leadership from within the project, coordinating Technical Working Groups and providing technical leadership where appropriate. 

The role will be based either in London or Dakar.

The role     

This is a pivotal role that will shape and drive the growth and diversification of our clean energy access work, including our flagship Low Energy Inclusive Appliances (LEIA) programme and the Efficiency for Access Coalition, managed in partnership with CLASP and funded by UK Aid via the Transforming Energy Access Platform and the IKEA Foundation.

What you’ll do

Together with the Senior Programme Manager, you’ll co-lead the Strategy, Policy and Partnerships work within LEIA, with a focus on strategy development and solidifying our role as a thought leader and key influencer. You’ll provide strategic direction and sector expertise to the energy access team to inform, support and guide programme delivery, ensuring a cross-workstream effort towards the achievement of overarching goals. Also you’ll lead the delivery of a range of strategic projects and stakeholder coordination activities.

Working with colleagues and partners you’ll lead the development of innovative and distinctive concepts and support fundraising efforts with a focus on initiatives that respond to needs, add value and deliver impact. You’ll nurture key stakeholder relationships and build and cultivate strategic partnerships to realise our strategic goals within and across key sectors, including energy, agriculture and humanitarian.

You’ll be an ambassador for Energy Saving Trust work, both internally and externally, working with colleagues to build our profile and position us for future growth.

• You have an established network of key stakeholder relationships in relevant sectors, including donors, investors, programme implementers, private sector actors and academia, and a proven ability to build, nurture and influence relationships at a senior level.

• You have experience of realising new opportunities and fundraising from international donors. You understand the challenges that exist and possess a creative flair for designing high-impact initiatives to overcome them, in partnership with others.

• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and like your work to be collaborative and fun! You’re prepared for regular international travel, are experienced at working with diverse people from different cultures, backgrounds and fields, and comfortable working remotely, in geographically dispersed teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams through technology transformation, with experience in stakeholder management and navigating change.

Purpose of the job

 You will be an important member of the Senior Management Team, supporting the CEO to drive income growth. This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of our Active Journeys team in the Tees Valley area, where you will help shape healthier, happier communities through walking, wheeling, and cycling. 

As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and oversight of behaviour change and engagement projects, as well as leading and supporting the delivery team. You’ll be at the heart of creating positive change, ensuring projects are cost-efficient, timely, and impactful. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Lead the delivery of behaviour change and engagement projects and campaigns to encourage active travel.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery in line with objectives and timelines.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and partner organisations.
• Collaborate with the Sustrans Volunteering Team to coordinate and promote volunteer and community champion opportunities.
• Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of an interdisciplinary delivery team.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
