As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs.
In this community and home based role from the Blackpool Fylde and Wyre area, you will offer support to your clients by phone, letter, email and in person home visits. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals.
Blackpool is a new addition to the area we offer Post Diagnostic Support in and being a visible and active part of its support community is a must, networking and advertising the service.
You will work closely with the NHS Memory Assessment Service in clinics in Blackpool and in the wider Fylde and Wyre area when required, to offer support to people following a dementia diagnosis.
You will help organise, attend but not deliver Singing for the Brain sessions in Poulton-Le-Fylde and attend Support Hubs and other networking events.
About you
- Ability to support people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration.
- Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
- Able to network effectively and collaborating with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
- Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
- Confident in public speaking and talking about dementia with the potential to eventually run Carers Information Programmes.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
This new role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting new journey at RABI as we grow our Marketing and Communications team ahead of launching our ambitious 2025-2030 strategy. As Digital Communications Officer, you will take a lead role in planning, creating and delivering content across social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns. You will have the creative freedom to develop innovative approaches that drive meaningful interaction and measurable impact.
The role reports to the Senior Digital Communications Manager and requires close collaboration to support RABI’s digital objectives and content strategy. You will also work with the wider Marketing and Communications team and colleagues across the organisation to support broader objectives, reach multiple audiences and connect people with the charity’s work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media and Content Creation
- Plan, create and deliver engaging content across RABI’s social media channels in line with the communications strategy.
- Create a diverse range of multimedia content (short-form video, graphics, photography, written content) tailored thoughtfully for each platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Be hands-on with video creation when needed (e.g., filming short clips, editing using mobile tools or basic editing software).
- Grow RABI’s image and video library by proactively collaborating with colleagues, volunteers, social media followers and external contacts to source or create engaging, high-quality content.
- Carry out content A/B testing, trial new formats and recommend improvements to drive engagement.
- Set up and optimise paid social media campaigns (traffic objectives) to promote services and volunteer recruitment.
- Monitor, listen and engage with online communities, spotting trends, opportunities and collaboration prospects.
- Provide content advice and social media guidance to colleagues managing regional pages, and champion best practice across the organisation.
- Produce clear briefs for interviews, photoshoots and video production to ensure high-quality content is created for campaigns and storytelling needs.
Outreach and Community Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with internal colleagues, especially those with farming backgrounds, to identify and develop authentic content opportunities.
- Conduct proactive outreach to individuals, influencers, bloggers, podcasters and journalists within the farming community to share stories and promote RABI’s work.
- Keep a close eye on emerging topics, new platforms, and collaboration opportunities to ensure RABI’s digital presence stays fresh, relevant, and engaging.
Email Marketing and Digital Campaigns
- Plan, write, and deliver email campaigns to support teams across the charity, including fundraising and volunteering.
- Create and schedule multi-stage email journeys to nurture audiences and support campaign goals.
- Build and manage digital assets to support new services or campaigns, planning activity across owned and paid digital channels.
- Shape campaigns from scratch from developing campaign branding and messaging to designing supporting assets.
- Focus on landing page design and optimisation to support strong user journeys and improve engagement with key services and campaigns.
- Support the delivery of key grant campaigns such as the Return to School and Winter Fuel grants.
Data Analysis and Optimisation
Use analytics tools to measure the performance of social media, email marketing, paid advertising, influencer activity and outreach.
Produce regular performance reports with actionable insights to improve future activity.
Assess campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and social platform insights to inform optimisation strategies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- 3 years of experience working a similar role in a marketing and communications team.
- Skilled in using WordPress to update and maintain websites.
- Proficiency in using design and video editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut).
- Good understanding of website accessibility standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confident in creating campaign assets independently, as well as responding to briefs.
Desirable
Previous experience using email automation tools and journey builders (e.g., Mailchimp, Dotdigital).
Experience of working in the charity sector.

Working with local communities and partners, you will empower people to fight the root causes of bad housing and homelessness and defend the right to a safe home.
With a focus on anti-racism, you will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the Birmingham hub’s local community priorities: supporting families experiencing homelessness, improving conditions in the Private Rented Sector and reducing barriers for those experiencing multiple disadvantages.
This will involve working alongside people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities. About You

Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.
We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Worthing Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Housing:
- Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
- Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
- Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team
Coaching and Engagement:
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community
- Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
- Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)
General:
- Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
- Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
- Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

The Swan Youth Project (SYP) Limited is a Berkhamsted based registered charity which offers 11-16+ years old of Berkhamsted and the surrounding area, a safe and secure recreational facility within which they can relax and socialise away from the stresses of school or home life. To support them in this we provide a daily drop-in facility with organised activities at the centre as well as holiday programmes, workshops, music gigs and so much more.
The SYP centre is well equipped with a DJ booth, pool table, table football, Internet room, chill-out room, Wii & Xbox, coffee bar and a fully equipped band practice room. A free snack and hot drink are offered to all members (some of whom may not have eaten all day).
ABOUT THE ROLE: You will help plan, execute and engage in activities that enhance member development.
Duties will include:
1. Running daily sessions both in the centre and off-site activities / trips
2. Assist with the planning and set up of specific activities
3. Engage and build positive relationships with young people, responding appropriately to challenging situations
4. Create a calm and safe environment for both the young people and the staff.
5. All team members take on a share of the activities required for the smooth running of the centre; i.e. running our social media channels, fundraising, timely completion of all required centre checks

You will have some experience working with young people; this could be through volunteer work, youth coaching, or as part of a formal qualification route. Full training will be given to develop you on this rewarding career path. What is most important is that you;
