As Head of Policy & Advocacy, you will:
- Lead bold campaigns that influence government, shift public debate, and secure justice for excluded communities, including those affected by the Infected Blood scandal.
- Champion health equity: keeping hepatitis C elimination, harm reduction, and wider inclusion health issues firmly on the national agenda.
- Amplify lived experience by ensuring our campaigns, media work, and policy influencing are shaped by and centred on the voices of our teams and communities.
- Build power through partnerships: working with partner charities, health leaders, and campaigners to push for systemic change.
- Shape and oversee communications: from press engagement to social media — making sure our messages cut through and inspire action.
- Guide and support colleagues: line managing our Senior Policy & Campaigns Officer and playing an active role in our senior management team.

About The Hepatitis C Trust
The Hepatitis C Trust (HCT) work with people who face severe health inequalities, including people who have hepatitis C and other health needs. With almost 500 staff and volunteers, we are the biggest lived experience organisation working in Inclusion Health in the UK. Our teams work in every community NHS area and in every prison in England, conducting outreach and providing a link between NHS services and the people they struggle to engage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Support
- Act as liaison between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders, drafting communications and ensuring clear, timely information flow; supporting scheduling of meetings and tracking of actions and, with support from the CRM Manager, ensuring key contacts and relationship data are accurately and securely maintained on the organisation’s central database.
- Coordinate meetings and agendas with the CEO, Director of Finance and Operations, Chair of the Board, and Board sub-committees; manage papers and follow-up actions.
- Organise external meetings, including venue liaison, room bookings, and travel arrangements.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Management Team (SMT), including preparing reports, presentations, and other materials as required.
- Coordinate SMT and Programme Board meetings including compilation and circulation of agendas and supporting documents.
- Prepare regular status updates on project progress; maintain a record of agreed actions from meetings and liaise with team members to gather updates and ensure timely completion.
- Act as a point of contact between the Senior Management Team and working groups focused on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and Well-being.
Board Support & Impact Reporting
- Support board-level processes by coordinating meeting logistics; prepare, compile and circulate materials including agendas, minutes, reports, and presentations;.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings including tracking and reporting on Board decisions and action items, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
- Assist in developing and maintaining risk management and impact reporting frameworks and tools for the Trustee Board.
- Collect, analyse, and report on data related to AVUK’s strategic programme impact and outcomes.
Governance and Additional EA Support Duties
- Support the Director of Finance and Operations and Operations Manager to ensure AVUK’s legal obligations regarding governance, record-keeping and reporting requirements are maintained.
- Oversee office management and liaise with landlords at AVUK centres in London, Bicester, and flexible workspaces in Glasgow and Leeds.
- Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CEO or Senior Management Team, including planning and execution.

While experience in therapeutic settings is valuable, this role is not focused on therapeutic delivery. Purpose of the job
The Green House’s VOICE change-making project aims to support young survivors and their family members to lead social change through creativity. Together, we aim to create national systemic change around child sexual abuse. Our approach recognises the inherent strengths and possibility of all young people. We develop creative spaces where young people can connect with their community, grow beyond traumatic experiences and learn to lead services like ours, alongside social change. We see creative change-making and connecting those with lived experience together as imperative to healing. It is the hope for change that helps young people and their families to learn to live a whole life alongside traumatic experiences and step into their potential.
The VOICE Project has two workstreams: Young People’s VOICE and Parent/Carer VOICE. We work with young people to deliver a creative arts leadership programme (6 weekly group), alongside creative drop-in spaces, individual projects and paid-for mentorship opportunities. We work with our Parent/Carer VOICE group to deliver monthly group sessions, parent-led drop-in spaces and individual projects. The VOICE Project also leads our national child sexual abuse (CSA) practitioner network.

The Operations Coordinator provides essential administrative, financial, and scheduling support across RAP’s international operations. This position is responsible for maintaining contract and vendor documentation, supporting finance and accounting workflows, processing data and invoices, coordinating executive calendars, and assisting with general systems administration, including IT-related tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contracts & Administrative Coordination

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Fluent in English; fluency or professional working proficiency in other global languages, particularly in French, highly valued.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a locum practising solicitor with substantial experience of litigation OR a practising barrister with experience of conducting casework (including litigation) within a solicitor-led agency OR a caseworker with significant experience of litigation. This is an interim role until the permanent role is recruited.This role is based within the Migrants Law Project.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The post holder will share responsibility with the MLP staff team, and partner organisations to ensure that:
·There is a clear focus on agreed priority areas of work and that cases are taken in line in with those priorities.
·Relevant stakeholders are engaged in developing the work so that they can participate as effectively as possible.
·The MLP does not duplicate work being delivered elsewhere but is able to collaborate where appropriate.
·The lessons and successes of the MLP are disseminated and are able to be applied as widely as possible.
Casework
Asylum Aid has been awarded a Category 1 independent Peer review from the Legal Aid Agency.
The post holder will, with support from the team also working on this issue:
·Provide high quality advice and representation for clients, NGOs, practitioners and other groups as appropriate.
·Conduct and co-ordinate immigration/asylum/public law casework and litigation on behalf of organisations and individuals.
·Conduct legal research where necessary.
·Record all work undertaken and carry out billing, ensuring all income is accounted for on each case.
·If the postholder holds Supervisor accreditation, and is appointed as a Supervisor, your responsibilities will include the full responsibilities of a Supervisor, including responsibilities for the work of people under their supervision.
The post holder will be expected to carry out their casework with a high degree of professionalism, and to conduct their work in such a way as to meet relevant external standards (e.g. Law Society, Solicitors Regulation Authority, Immigration Advice Authority and Lexcel). Training and Information Work
The post holder will share responsibility with the other members of the legal team to:
·Develop and disseminate relevant information on legal developments in this area for relevant stakeholders, supported by the team.

Administration
The post holder will:
·Contribute to the fulfilment of any reporting requirements to funders, the LAA, Asylum Aid management team and others.
