About the role
We’re looking for a creative and confident Content & Communications Coordinator to join our busy Digital and Marketing team at Imperial College Union. This role will be key in strengthening our online presence and improving student engagement with the Union. The successful candidate will manage our social media channels and content to drive two-way conversations, to increase awareness of the Union’s work, and help us better understand what they care about.
You will be our in-house journalist; planning and delivering content that speaks to our varied audiences. You’ll build strong relationships across the Union and College, writing creative copy and curating innovative social media content. Using your in-depth knowledge of social media, you will be aware of emerging trends across all platforms and create content that attracts and retains the interest and attention of our members. You will work closely with colleagues across the Union, including our elected Officer Trustees, to support them to reach more students and deliver key messages. This role is integral to supporting the diverse work the Union does.
Our ideal candidate will have a flair for creative writing for a variety of topics and channels, with a strong passion for social media and help develop and embed the Union’s personality and brand. What you would be doing
Content Planning
- To assist in the creation of communications and content plans to support the marketing team in the delivery of key Union marketing activity, such as Welcome Week and election.
- Populate the social media calendars to ensure regular, timely and impactful content across these channels on Instagram, TikTok and Threads.
- Build networks with student groups, the Union’s newspaper (Felix) and external partners to develop opportunities for content collaboration
- Utilise student feedback and engagement with Union content to continue to improve and develop our output and channels
- Work with the Officer Trustees to promote their public profiles and provide support on their campaigns.
- Stay up to date with what’s happening across the Union, College, the city and wider student movement to stay current and spot positive PR opportunities and content.
Content Creation & Curation
- Ensure timely, relevant and engaging content for Union channels & platforms, including blogs, website, social media and news
- Write, proof and edit a variety of digital communications across the organisation, such as blogs and web content to ensure brand and tone of voice is consistent and correct
- Lead on the weekly student newsletter – composing and drafting the newsletter and sending it out to all students every week
- Attend student events to capture photos and videos content to use for marketing purposes and provide live social media coverage to a high standard
- Be aware of shareable, engaging content, sourcing content from external channels to build an engaged following and boost our content on social media
- Establish and work with student and staff social ambassadors in gathering stories and content
General
- Monitor and moderate social posts and comments and respond or escalate in line with the Union’s Crisis Comms plan
- Support key events throughout the year, including Welcome Week and Elections, when necessary
- Proactively work to ensure the Union’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is expressed in all outputs

What we are looking for
- Experience of developing and delivering communications plans campaigns with clear metrics of success
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools to help monitor and generate useful reports and insights

The Young Carers Lead will take responsibility for coordinating and delivering our young carers programme. This includes running two weekly sessions – one for ages 5–10 and another for ages 11–18 – with the support of our skilled sessional staff and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all the fundraising activities of SBS, including management of the fundraising team.

- Provide regular reporting on all fundraising activities, for Senior Staff and Board. Provide up to date income levels by source, any associated expenditure and what the overall ROI is for SBS. Be able to provide this as verbal updates and electronically - making comparisons against projections, historical performance and industry averages.
- Keep up to date and ensure SBS complies with fundraising legislation, standards and best practice including GDPR and PECR.
- Support SBS with detailed knowledge of the United Bible Societies (UBS) fellowship projects SBS support and provide a steer on what opportunities there are that would fit with the overall strategy for SBS.
- Set objectives for the Fundraising team in line with the fundraising strategy and overall strategy for SBS.

About you

- Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior fundraising or development position.
- Proven track record of leading fundraising strategy and campaigns for a charitable organisation, or a background in campaign management driving sales for a commercial organisation.
- Confidence in testing and optimising campaign activity and strategies through a robust, analytical methodology.

Job Purpose:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Family Centre provision to support families with children and young people aged 0-19 years (up to 25 years with disabilities and additional needs) that are identified as the most need of support or have emerging needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Management of the implementation of the Surrey County Council Families First specification for Family Centres and Family Resilience Support provision.
- To monitor the Manager’s in-tray, triage referrals, ensure contact with families providing management oversight and comply with all elements of Early Help Module (EHM) Practice standards for Child Records – Family Centres and Family Support Programme guidance.
- With the Family and Youth Manager to devise and review the service delivery plan including emerging needs groups and partnership working with HomeStart East Surrey and other agencies.
- Use Tableau data and Outcome tools to plan service delivery.
- Show evidence of the impact of the support that is provided and record this on Early Help Management System (EHM), Outcome Stars and other systems as appropriate.
- Work with the Head of Finance, Head of CYP and the Youth & Family Service Manager to manage the budgets of the Family Centre and consider other sources of revenue.
- Manage Senior / Family Support Workers, Admin and other associated staff within the Family Centre and Family Support provision providing regular line management supervision, annual appraisals, and case supervisions.

Croydon BME Forum, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is tackling ethnic inequalities in health and social care through this “Can You C Me Project”. The Macmillan Team offers personalised support, information, and referrals for individuals affected by cancer, including families and carers, across six South West London boroughs: Croydon, Merton, Kingston, Wandsworth, and Richmond. Working within a team of three, you will be responsible for two boroughs, Croydon and Merton while supporting colleagues as needed.
As a Project Coordinator for the Can You C Me project, you will play a key role in engaging BME communities to enhance cancer awareness and support. About the role
The Offshore Maintenance Manager will have a key role in delivering the capability and availability of MSSC’s offshore vessels to provide sea-going experience for cadets and in ensuring the safety for all personnel on board. The main purpose of the role is to provide support with the engineering management and maintenance of MSSC’s offshore vessels
Responsibilities
· Providing day to day support in identifying defects and safety shortcomings, determining solutions, assisting in rectification or organising cost effective professional repairs at advantageous prices and obtaining replacement parts.
· Producing, overseeing and tracking (technically and financially) the winter maintenance work packages for the fleet.
· Progressive development of MSSC’s Safety Management System, as related to the technical running and management of each offshore vessel.
· Assisting the engineer officers of MSSC’s vessels with maintenance tasks.
· Managing records to support and evidence MSSC’s maintenance programme.
· Acting as an occasional relief engineer on board any of the three larger vessels.
Requirements
· Engineer with HNC or similar professional qualification with significant experience in the maritime sector in seagoing and shore support roles. Areas of experience would include health and safety, marine equipment operation, engineering maintenance, refit planning and execution.
· Ideally a broad engineering experience across the mechanical, electrical and electronic disciplines. Knowledge of typical small commercial or recreational vessel machinery, control, navigation and communications systems and their integration.
· Experience in using and managing Electronic Planned Maintenance Systems.
· Experience of routine and effective liaison with ship and shore staff, external authorities, suppliers and contractors.
· Health and fitness necessary to obtain and industry recognised medical certification (ENG1).

· Power and sail background ideally across a variety of vessels including those <300 tonnes
· Experience with maintaining vessels in Lloyd’s or other recognised Classification Society Rules and Flag State “Code of Practice.”

About the role

The Role
As Fundraising Manager, you will play a proactive, hands-on role in driving Business Launchpad’s fundraising activity. You will be responsible for building and qualifying a fundraising pipeline and securing income from trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
The role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to craft compelling cases for support that demonstrate our impact. You will work closely with the Marketing and Impact & Evaluation teams to align messaging, evidence, and storytelling, ensuring funders clearly see the difference their support makes.
We are seeking a highly organised and conscientious individual with strong planning and project management skills, who thrives on taking initiative and seeing projects through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Income Generation
- Build, qualify, and manage a fundraising pipeline and annual work plan.
- Research, develop, and submit high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
- Develop clear and persuasive cases for support that combine narrative and evidence.
- Contribute to the delivery of the annual fundraising event and community fundraising initiatives.
Relationship Management
- Build and steward strong, long-term relationships with funders and partners.
- Provide excellent stewardship, including regular communication and tailored impact reporting.
Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Track and report on fundraising progress against agreed targets.
- Maintain accurate fundraising records, pipeline data, and activity logs.
- Produce clear, timely reports for senior leadership and trustees.
- Ensure all fundraising activities comply with regulation, best practice, and GDPR.
Collaboration & Communications
- Work closely with the Marketing and Impact & Evaluation teams to align messaging, impact data, and storytelling.
- Ensure young people’s voices and experiences are central to all fundraising narratives.
Planning, Budgeting & Project Management
- Contribute to managing fundraising budgets, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Use strong planning and project management skills to deliver against multiple deadlines.
- Take a proactive approach to identifying and acting on fundraising opportunities.
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Pipeline Development: A well-qualified and up-to-date fundraising pipeline, with clear prospect research and prioritisation.
- Income Secured: Achievement of agreed annual income targets from trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
- Renewal & Retention: High renewal rate of existing funders and strong stewardship leading to multi-year commitments where possible.
- Quality of Applications: Consistently high-quality proposals and cases for support, evidenced by funder feedback and success rates.
- Collaboration: Positive feedback from internal teams (Programmes, Impact & Evaluation, Marketing, Finance) on joint working, ensuring alignment of messaging, data, and budgets.
- Reporting & Compliance: Contributing to timely and accurate reports to funders, leadership, and trustees, with all activity meeting best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Events & Community Fundraising: Effective contribution to annual fundraising events and campaigns, ensuring they run smoothly and generate agreed outcomes.
- Professionalism & Initiative: Demonstrated proactivity, independence, and problem-solving in managing workload and driving fundraising activity forward.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of securing income from trusts, foundations, or statutory funders.
- Experience in building and managing a fundraising pipeline and work plan.
- Excellent grant/proposal writing skills with strong research abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop compelling cases for support through narrative building and storytelling.
- Skilled in building and stewarding funder relationships.
- Confident in planning, project management, and basic budget management.
- Experience in delivering fundraising activity against agreed targets.
- Highly proactive, able to take initiative and work independently while contributing to a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in community fundraising campaigns.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Experience in youth, enterprise, or social impact organisations.
