Job Purpose

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Communications and Engagement Officer who can effectively convey the life-changing impact of our work, motivate our community to volunteer, donate and fundraise to support our work, and ensure that the information and educational resources we provide reach those who need them most.

Key Responsibilities 

Communications:

· Act as the first point of contact for IPWSO’s public email address and social media channels and ensure timely and appropriate replies.

· Manage IPWSO’s social media channels, creating original and engaging content and posts, and actively engaging with our audiences.

· Manage Google Ad Grant campaigns with an emphasis on growing our supporter base and increasing individual giving.

· Keep up to date with emerging trends in digital communications and social media and recommend potential new channels for fundraising and audience engagement.

· Support the development of videos for IPWSO, in cooperation with IPWSO’s Project Manager and other colleagues. The type of work to be undertaken includes providing support for content development, speaker recruitment, filming and editing, as well as helping source external agencies as needed.

· Maintain and develop the IPWSO website ensuring its security and that it functions both as an effective supporter acquisition tool and a means by which people can easily access information about PWS.

· Produce compelling newsletters and an Annual Report.

· Support the review and update of IPWSO’s Communications Strategy in line with its Strategic Plan.

· Uphold and showcase the IPWSO mission and brand.

· Help oversee the production and design of a range of educational resources for families and professionals.

· Oversee copywriting and proofreading within IPWSO.

· Support IPWSO’s members and liaise with its stakeholders internationally in support of our shared goals.

Engagement:

 · Provide support for online events programmes, in cooperation with IPWSO’s Project Manager and the Online Events Committee.  The type of support to be provided includes hosting Zoom sessions, supporting speakers, follow up administration including evaluations.

· Support IPWSO’s Famcare Board by facilitating their online meetings and assisting with their online events.

· Work with the Project and Operations Manager to provide membership support, liaising with IPWSO’s member organisations as needed.

· Proactively engage with member associations to promote IPWSO and also to understand their needs and how IPWSO can be of help.

· Work with the Project and Operations Manager on our Educational Outreach programmes.  Work will include liaising with event organisers with regards to IPWSO’s booths at different conferences, ensuring follow up as needed (including help with preparation of PowerPoint slides), engagement follow up including data entry to update our database (Donorfy).

We’re looking for an Assistant Legacy Officer to join our sector-leading Legacy Management Team. This is a unique opportunity to help steward one of the most meaningful forms of giving - ensuring every legacy is honoured with care, precision, and respect.

In this vital role, you’ll:

• Manage your own caseload of pecuniary legacies, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
• Liaise with solicitors, executors, and supporters to resolve queries and uphold our legacy policies.
• Support the team in maintaining BHF’s reputation as a trusted and professional legacy recipient.
• Help maximise income from bequests, directly supporting our life-saving research.
• Demonstrate ability to engage sensitively with bereaved families.
• Confidently balance workload demands and ensure completion within required timeframes.

Legacies account for over half of our income, making this role central to our mission to beat heart and circulatory diseases for good.

About You

You’ll have experience in legacy administration or managing large volumes of client records using a case management system. You’re confident working with data and understand the importance of accuracy and sensitivity, especially when dealing with personal or financial information.

Your communication skills are excellent and you approach conversations with empathy and professionalism. You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and other IT systems, and you know how to stay organised and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

You enjoy working as part of a team and are always open to learning and sharing ideas. You thrive in fast-paced, purpose-driven settings and are motivated by making a positive impact.

Working arrangements

This is a fixed term contract ending on 30 September 2026 covering Family Leave.

By fostering strong partnerships, we can ensure that more professionals are equipped to share evidence-based lifestyle interventions and offer hope from the very beginning.

Why this role matters

Since 2012, Overcoming MS has been at the forefront of promoting an evidence-based approach to the self-management of MS using healthy lifestyle choices alongside medication. Although there is no cure for MS, we help people with MS to live well by making informed lifestyle choices.

Over the past 18 months, we have laid a strong foundation for this work:

· Identifying key barriers to supported self-management in MS.

· Co-developing educational resources to support healthcare professionals

· Piloting projects with healthcare professionals.

· Refining and presenting data to demonstrate the value of our approach.

Now, we are ready to build on that momentum—and we need you to take it further.

Key responsibilities

· Lead the successful delivery of the Healthcare Engagement strategy, identifying and promoting engagement with our key audiences and stakeholders, in accordance with the NHS 10-year plan.

· Raise awareness with healthcare professionals of the importance of healthy lifestyle in managing MS symptoms and disease progression, resulting in expanded access to supported self-management for people with MS.

· Lead the development and delivery of strategic projects that engage healthcare professionals.

· Raise the profile and credibility of Overcoming MS, our information, events and courses, positioning us as the go-to charity for lifestyle and living well with MS.

· Increase the impact of our HCP education module, through our existing partnership with the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, marketing the education widely, evaluating its benefit to HCPs and strategically reviewing the format, vehicle and content as appropriate.

· Work closely with our internal Evidence Gathering Group, our Medical Advisor, and Information and Research Manager to facilitate the development of the relationship, profile and reach between the charity and the health and social care sectors.

· Develop a wide network of key healthcare professionals to inform our strategy, provide expertise, expert review of materials, and content (podcasts, webinars, blogs)

· Co-produce posters, abstracts and academic articles to present at key conferences.

· Identify and attend key healthcare events and conferences, building networks, partnerships and other resources to increase knowledge and awareness.

Other responsibilities

· Create meaningful engagement with the MS community and healthcare professional partners, widening our reach to support more people with MS.

· Empower people affected by MS and their healthcare professionals to discuss lifestyle modification and the Overcoming MS Program with confidence, improving self-management and health outcomes.

· Identify opportunities for accessing funding streams, working with Fundraising colleagues to diversify our income base.

· Raise our profile within the healthcare environment so that they recommend the charity and will advocate on our behalf.

· As we are a small, busy charity, all staff help with the general running of the organisation in addition to their specific role activities.

What you will bring

· Proven experience in healthcare partnership development and stakeholder engagement.

·Strong understanding of the challenges facing people living with a lifelong condition such as MS, including the emotional, physical, and social impacts along with a strong understanding of the NHS, Public Health and the UK health care policy landscape.

· A proactive, independent professionalism with the ability to problem solve.

· Strategic thinking with a collaborative, hands-on approach

· Strong understanding of health inequalities and community-based health initiatives.

· Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.

  We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Affairs Officer to join our award winning and high impact team as we seek to influence the implementation of the Government’s Life Sciences Sector Plan.

  You’ll engage with Parliamentarians to raise awareness of British Heart Foundation (BHF) funded research in Westminster and in their individual constituencies, while proactively spotting opportunities to draw attention to the need to address the historic shortfall in cardiovascular research funding and how Government can do so.

  You’ll also support the delivery of a programme of activity and engagement that contributes to our wider Hearts Need More campaign, which aims to ensure cardiovascular disease remains a priority, from prevention through to cure.

  About you

  We’re looking for someone with an interest in and understanding of the UK’s political environment, with good insight into the workings of the UK Government and Westminster parliamentary procedure. You'll have an understanding of the role of BHF and other medical research charities in general, or a broader awareness of the UK’s research environment.
  
  You'll have some experience of working in the UK Parliament or within a public affairs in-house team or consultancy, and have excellent communication skills. Previous engagement with political stakeholders will be helpful, but we also welcome those who are keen to build these relationships.

  We’re looking for someone who can understand and distil sometimes complex information, simply and clearly in a range of formats – letters, briefings, social media posts – for a range of audiences. Strong organisational skills are also important, and any experience helping to organise or support events would be useful.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with funders and donors to maximise opportunities for growth and diversification of income.
• Ensure effective financial management, monitoring, and reporting of a c.£750k annual budget.

Partnerships & Place-Leadership

• Develop and maintain partnerships with voluntary, public, and private sector organisations to aid joint delivery of services.
• Represent the Dalgarno Trust in local strategic forums, influencing public policy and service design to reflect community needs.

This is an exciting time to join London’s Air Ambulance Charity. We are expanding our small, dedicated, Support team who raise awareness, provide information and practical guidance alongside support and advocacy relating to health and social care, housing, education, transition, independent living, palliative care, and bereavement.  This team also contribute to the development of our resources and facilitate project work such as youth engagement, advisory boards, and support groups.

Ideal candidate

As a Support & Advice Officer, you will provide administrative and initial frontline support.  You will have the confidence to respond to queries, triaging when required.  You will work with sensitivity and confidentiality, have excellent communication skills making sure that the individual (or family) remains at the centre of your work.  You will have exceptional IT skills and be highly organised, with the ability to juggle many strands of work.  You will demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with your colleagues and external parties.   

Training on MPS and related conditions will be provided to help you develop a good understanding of MPS and related conditions, and the needs of those affected by these progressive, life-limiting conditions.

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham office each week. As part of the role, UK wide travel is necessary. which may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays.  You may also occasionally be required to attend evening or weekend conferences and events. We have policies in place to ensure that any unsociable hours worked are fairly compensated.

This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week) however part time hours may be considered for the right candidate.  Salary will be pro-rata for part-time.

School Governance and Admissions Officer

We wish to appoint a skilled and experienced team member to be the lead officer for school governance and admissions in Church of England schools across the Diocese.  The post holder will work closely with the Director and Deputy Director of Education, schools, governors and senior leadership teams.

• Providing advice and support relating to school admissions to headteachers and school governors

• Have the ability to plan and deliver high quality training to governors and headteachers
• Be able to establish effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including governors, headteachers, academy partners and Local Authority officers

This is a fixed term maternity cover role (anticipating approx. 9 months) supporting ASAP’s duty representation scheme at the Asylum Support Tribunal (AST) – one of our three key strands of work.

Working within our duty scheme team, you will assist our Acting Duty Scheme Co-ordinator and Duty Scheme Support Officer with key operational tasks, ensuring that the scheme is offering a quality service to appellants and referrers and that our duty scheme advocates (volunteer solicitors and barristers) are supported to provide high quality legal representation and advice.

After induction and training, you will give one-off guidance and support to people within the asylum support system who self-refer to ASAP, and to referring advice agencies, about the asylum support appeals process. You will also assist with decisions about which cases we represent. As with all team members, you will feed into our wider work on training, asylum support policy and strategic litigation – primarily by ensuring that colleagues are kept up to date with issues arising out of appeals at the Tribunal.

We’re looking for someone passionate about helping people seeking asylum in the UK access justice. You should be well-organised, a good team player, and have a solid understanding of the asylum support system—ideally from directly advising people who use it. In this role, you’ll develop your legal knowledge and skills by: observing hearings, reading appeal documents and legal decisions, attending training sessions and team meetings.

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Programme Officer to work with a small friendly team, supporting the delivery of high-impact events and citizen science programmes connecting people with nature.
