About the Role

As a membership specialist, you will be a responsible member of our membership team, providing a frontline service for customer enquiries. Primarily, this involves administering the UKCP membership register by efficiently processing admissions, exits, and renewals, while utilising customer service skills to offer a professional and contemporary service. This role also includes responsibility for capturing essential data and processing associated transactions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide general enquiry services to members, non-members, and members of the general public, including being part of a pool of staff responsible for dealing with enquiries by telephone, emails, social media, and postal enquiries.
• Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the administration and regulatory procedures relevant to the updating of member records, admission to a category of membership, and processing of subscription details. Such day-to-day activities require the ability to follow defined operations to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of applications for UKCP membership, following defined guidelines and processes. Produce reports from CRM systems as required.
• Be responsible for the administration of the renewal process for individual members, ensuring renewals, reminders, generating certificates, and lapsing are carried out accurately within specified timescales.
• Proactively identify and suggest feedback and ideas about new membership grades, member benefits, and new products and services to managers.
• Actively pursue the retention and recruitment of members and encourage the uptake of benefits and services by members and non-members alike.
• Proactively market membership services, providing consultative advice on the range of services and benefits related to membership grades.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar remote customer service role.
• Confident using technology and software applications, with experience of working with databases, emails, documents, spreadsheets, and videocalls.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in working with remote team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, share responsibilities, and support one another in achieving common goals.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed targets, in areas such as email and telephone quotas for example.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, making well-informed decisions, and taking ownership of tasks and projects.

Although desirable, fundraising experience is not essential as training will be provided.

About the Role:
As our positive and proactive Data Operations Officer you will play a crucial role in ensuring that key processes are efficiently executed and help to coordinate incoming support requests to the team. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of WaterAid's fundraising data, carrying out data quality checks and financial reconciliation.

You'll also be responsible for carrying out key financial processes from the database, such as Direct Debit and Gift Aid claims. We're looking for someone who is motivated and enthusiastic, with a high attention to detail and the ability to use their initiative to solve problems.

About You:

• Experience of working with data in a relational database
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent IT skills, with advanced experience of using Microsoft Excel and Word

In your role as a Community Keyworker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System; those on Probation in the Community and those women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision; providing some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.

The Minerva London service provides holistic, trauma-informed support for women in touch with the Criminal Justice System. We do this through offering dedicated one to one support, safer women’s centre spaces and specialist interventions and partnerships.

To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.

You will be working in a supportive, friendly, and welcoming team whilst having oversight of a caseload of women, who may be under the supervision of the National Probation Service or in custody, enhancing the offer of holistic support and advocacy services available to them throughout their journey.

Building relationships with other statutory and non-statutory agencies in local communities is vital to build referral pathways and provide a whole system approach to supporting individuals.

To carry out this work you will meet women in the community in your designated borough and co-locate with other agencies including the National Probation Service, as well as regularly attending Advance’s North London vibrant Women’s Centre/office space.

You will be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder and has good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions.

We are currently seeking a Team Lead to head up the delivery of support services for carers across the Southend Borough.  Working 37 hours per week with remote working with the flexibility to work from home and community venues in Southend.

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future - using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. The Royal Air Force Museum is a Carbon Literate organisation and as such promotes Carbon Literacy.

Purpose of the Archivist role is to:

Our Archive collection contains both official and personal documents which reflect the experience of those who have served with the RAF and its predecessor organisations. It also includes technical drawings and material. Public Records are held and the Museum is a Place of Deposit.

The Archivist is a key member of the Archive, Library and Research team contributing to making the collection accessible to our audiences. Undertaking the full range of archival work, you will help to develop and look after the Archive collection and support the Museum’s Development Programmes. You will be supported to undertake research contributing to the Museum’s Research Programme.

Applicants should have a post-graduate qualification in archive administration. The successful applicant will have experience of working with archive collections and excellent communication skills. Experience of working in teams and with volunteers will be essential as will experience of using collections management databases. A good knowledge of RAF history is desirable.

This post is based at our London site. Travel to all Museum sites will be necessary.

As our Archivist you will lead on sharing our Archive collection with diverse audiences, ensuring its ongoing development and preservation. You will share knowledge about the collection as well as information relating to and contained within it and undertake research in support of the Museum’s programmes.

Key responsibilities of our Archivist include:

• Facilitate access to the Archive collection as well as the information relating to and contained within it according to Department policies and procedures.
• Build and enhance your knowledge of RAF history and develop expert knowledge of the Archive collection.
• Contribute to the Museum’s Research Programme by undertaking research and through the delivery of agreed and supported outputs including but not limited to academic papers, conferences, talks and blogs.

As part of the Senior Leadership team, they will play an important part in driving the vision, mission, and values of The Africa Centre as a world-leading organisation at the forefront of debate, dialogue, and social purpose around our five core pillars of arts & culture, education, community development, entrepreneurship & innovation and thought leadership. Through innovative programme development, they will ensure that the urgent issues faced by people of African descent are reflected and addressed in The Africa Centre’s activity profile. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Strategic Leadership

• Oversee, convene and deliver TAC programmes, developing live and digital content in line with our strategic priorities.
• Fulfil the leadership role of contributing to the development of The Africa Centre’s emerging strategy.
• Lead and convene programme development and content delivery, ensuring commercial, artistic, operational and audience development objectives are met for both live and digital events.
• Draw on audience segmentation, communications and brand strategies to strategically align programme to audience and our income generation objectives.
• Work collegiately with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and deliver The Africa Centre’s Audience Development Strategy linked to the programme and strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities to apply for funding and contribute to income generation activities related to programming and engagement.
• Lead on developing and delivering high quality experiences for artists and experts across all our activities, ensuring they are supported and nurtured.
• Establish a strategy for identifying, supporting, and nurturing new creative talent.

Programme Leadership

• Deliver world class content to reflect African excellence drawing on the best creative minds and experts across multiple genres – from contemporary arts to literature and fiction; science and history; geo-politics and climate change; equalities and democracy and more.
• Deliver original content that has variety, breadth, and depth, identifying the most appropriate structure for building relationships with partners, commissioning new work, contracting artists, identifying thought leadership opportunities and utilising a wide range of formats – live and digital - to implement ideas.
• Draw on the expertise within the team, their networks and creative content, convening an holistic programme in line with TAC’s strategic priorities, income generation priorities and brand.
• Develop and implement TAC’s Elimu Education Programme, fostering relevant relationships with educational institutes from primary to tertiary levels across the UK and beyond, and co-creating programmes of activity.
• Oversee the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of any contracted work that delivers programmes of activities in the UK and abroad,
• Lead on developing, nurturing and administering relationships with strategic partners including the TAC Global Network of Affiliate Organisations.
• Oversee the work of the Young Africa Centre.

Engagement

• Maintain existing and develop new audiences, identifying programme strands that respond to and anticipate the needs and interests of diverse communities, introducing new ideas, innovative content and inclusive talent pathways.
• Seek out, develop, and sustain networks, stakeholders and partnerships at local, regional and global levels, and explore new ways for the charity to grow and develop at the cutting edge of global ideas
• Identify opportunities to develop The Africa Centre events across the UK and digitally, to reach wider audiences and deepen brand recognition across the year.
• Identify project funding to develop audiences, increase diversity and meet equalities objectives.
• Oversee learning and engagement programmes in the UK.
• Deliver and build upon current UK funded projects and contribute to developing funding bids.

Leadership

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

• A clearly-evidenced long-standing passion for Africa and people of African Descent
• 3 - 5 years working at a senior level in a similar role
• Excellent Programme Management experience with excellent budget management skills
• Excellent communication and networking skills, adept at effectively engaging people across a range of settings – from school children to Prime Ministers and Presidents;
• Educated to degree level of equivalent (relevant subject area)
• Team player, able to work cross disciplinary with artists, experts, academics, key stakeholders, and audiences in a programming function working with diverse audiences
• Specialist knowledge of audience development gained through 3 years’ experience
• Agile approach to work, recognising the limitations and challenges of running a small charitable organisation and willingness to work flexibly to get things done, apply effort and integrity at all times. Regular weekend and evening work will be required.
• Experience of working with an operations team to deliver events (production, tech requirements, artist management)
• Experience of delivering to funder obligations (Trusts and Foundations/Public and Private Funding) • Excellent network in publishing; cultural and creative sector; or other relevant sectors
