This has led to the creation of 3 new Associate Director roles, and we are looking for talented people to join us to design and deliver our new programmes for Legacy Giving, Regular Giving and Donor Experience & Events initiatives.

About the role

As the Associate Director of Legacy Giving, you will design, lead and implement a compelling legacy strategy, with associated giving propositions, to facilitate skilful and sensitive conversations around estate planning and foster a culture of giving to UCL in this way. Your work will not only be integral to the growth of a culture of philanthropy, but it will also be key to the evolution of our regular and major gift programmes.

About you

You will be a confident leader with strategic and critical thinking skills, and be the institutional champion of legacy giving at UCL. You will ideally bring experience from the charity or higher education sector, of delivering innovative and effective campaigns, and both income and expenditure budget management. We are looking for someone who has proven that they can design and launch this type of programme, in collaboration with the leaders of other fundraising income streams, and who has a deep understanding of best practice in this arena. You will be a strategic relationship builder and sophisticated communicator, and bring proven experience of having worked across an organisation to bring stakeholders along with you to ensure the success of new initiatives. Key to your success in this role will be your curiosity and ability to create change while demonstrating diplomacy and sound judgement.

Grants and Trust Fundraiser

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fundraiser to work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Chief Executive to maintain a fundraising pipeline, research new prospects and write high quality bids to a range of grant and trust funders.

Position: Senior Grant and Trust Fundraiser

Location: London or West Midlands/hybrid (with frequent travel to London if you are based in the West Midlands)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5hours, flexible working

Salary: £35,000 

Duration: Permanent

The Role

You will be instrumental in securing the funding, which the organisation needs to continue to deliver and develop its services, across a wide range of functions and projects. You will be an entrepreneurial, knowledgeable fundraiser, adept at finding the right opportunities to fit the right projects. You will also be meticulous and organised in your approach to stewardship, maintaining contact with funders and working with colleagues to collate the information needed for reporting.

The fundraising strategy contains plans to further develop specific areas of fundraising such as individual giving, corporate partnerships and legacies, and you may be called upon to support the Head of Fundraising in putting plans together for the implementation of these, working alongside the Senior Administrator (Fundraising and Communications).

About You

You will have experience in a fundraising, philanthropy or relationship management role and a track record of success in securing at least five-figure donations from grant and trust funders.

You will have:

· Knowledge of digital fundraising approaches

· Outstanding writing and communication skills

· The ability to understand financial language and budgets

· Strong research and prospecting skills

· The capacity to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally

· Experience of measuring impact and delivering evaluation reports

The role

Thousands of people in our communities are affected by breast cancer, and many of these are compelled to help by fundraising for Breast Cancer Now. To enable us to best support our network of fundraisers, and create a sector leading programme, we've just reconfigured our community fundraising team.

This has created an opportunity for a community fundraising executive to join the London, South and Wales team.

In this busy and exciting supporter-facing role, you’ll provide stewardship to our brilliant fundraisers organising events from bake sales and balls to tractor runs and sponsored walks. And, alongside the other community fundraiser executives, you’ll be the first point of contact for supporters, playing a key role in the smooth day to day running of the programme.

Through excellent relationship management, you’ll inspire our supporters to see through their fundraising plans, raise as much as possible and continue to support the charity in a way that’s right for them.

Reporting into an experienced community fundraiser, you’ll be nurtured and developed in your role. And have the opportunity to develop relationships with a wide variety of supporters, from individuals and volunteers to clubs, societies, groups and local companies.

You’re organised and can prioritise your work well. You can also quickly pick up processes and have excellent administrative skills, all experience you’ve gained in a professional working environment.

This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for:

• Producing high quality research profiles, insights and briefings for our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Special Events fundraising teams.
• Conducting due diligence on key supporters and volunteers, communicating findings in a professional manner to support decisions around risk and reputation management.
• Delivering market insight and horizon scanning to help shape strategy for high value fundraising.
• Supporting fundraising colleagues to ensure high standards of data management and compliance

About You

We’re looking for a dynamic individual with:

• Exceptional analytical and research skills.
• Previous experience in a prospect/fundraising researcher position.
• Experience conducting due diligence within the not for profit sector.
• Experience with a wide range of research, risk and business intelligence  tools.
• Ability to build strong internal relationships.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join Myeloma UK as we launch our new five year strategy. 

The post holder will be responsible for developing evidence led scientific communications that help engage new audiences as we aim to reach new people as part of our strategic goals.  You will use your science communication expertise to bring our research and scientific information to life for a variety of audiences from people affected by myeloma to health care professionals as well as scientists and researchers.

You will support other teams across Myeloma UK by helping to develop engaging evidence led impactful communications that can be used for appeals, case for support and other activities.  You’ll also work with our research and health care professional community to engage and involve them in our communications activities.
