Job description

Trust and Foundation Manager, full time, London office/hybrid, £43,00 salary

Job Purpose

To act as a lead, managing the Trust & Foundation team to deliver significant sources of income for key Hospice services and projects, capital projects and unrestricted funds. They will provide line management, relationship management of major funders, bid writing and database compliance.

The post has direct responsibility for the Trusts and Foundation budget line and line management responsibility of the Trust and Foundation Executive and joint responsibility for the Fundraising Executive.

Responsibilities of the post include:

  • Work closely with the Director of Fundraising to develop Trust and Foundation strategies, leading on its implementation and contributing to its progression continually.
  • Research and develop new income generation opportunities, leading on the production and submission of applications.
  • To work with colleagues within the fundraising team to proactively maximise opportunities from other income streams.
  • Manage the Trusts and Foundation Executive, providing clear objectives and reviews as well as effective and supportive line management.
  • Act as a supervisory capacity to other team members when Director of Fundraising is on leave
  • Ensure Trust and Foundation processes are followed including the production of individual donor profiles and development plans, solicitation and reporting schedules, regular relationship audits, methodised prospect research and data cleansing.
  • Operate as a spokesperson working closely with the Director of Fundraising to manage high level and complex Trust and Foundation relationships.

Person specification to include:

  • 3+ yrs experience in high value fundraising or commercial equivalent
  • Line management or supervisory experience
  • Budget Management Experience
  • Experience of winning significant funding from trusts and foundations or commercial equivalent
  • Track record of stakeholder engagement and working with staff at all levels
  • Experience of contributing to strategies in line with organisational plans
  • Experience in using Windows-based software packages
  • Experience of Raiser’s Edge or other CRM system
