You’ll join Marie Curie’s Policy & Public Affairs team in Scotland – part of our award-winning UK Policy & Research Directorate. We are a collaborative, passionate, and evidence-driven team working to influence national and local government, challenge inequalities, and ensure palliative and end of life care is accessible and high-quality for everyone.

As Senior Policy Manager, you’ll play a leading role in shaping Scotland’s end of life care agenda. You will develop evidence-based policies, build influential relationships with decision-makers, and lead strategic campaigns to drive meaningful change. Working alongside colleagues across the UK, you’ll help deliver Marie Curie’s vision of a Scotland where everyone’s right to palliative care becomes a reality.

Your Impact:

• Lead development of high-impact policy projects to influence end of life care in Scotland.
• Build and maintain relationships with MSPs, ministers, government officials, and sector leaders.
• Develop and deliver public affairs and campaign strategies to influence decision-makers.
• Analyse and respond to government consultations and legislative developments.
• Represent Marie Curie Scotland externally through media, conferences, and events.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners across the UK to deliver evidence-led, coordinated policy change.
• Contribute to the Scotland policy team’s strategic direction and deputise for the Associate Director when required.

Key Criteria:

• Significant experience leading policy and public affairs work, ideally in health or social care.
• Strong political awareness and proven ability to influence at national and local levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting high-quality reports and briefings.
• Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of Scottish Government and Parliament structures, and health and social care policy context.

The Role:

In this role, you will leverage extensive experience and expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver digital supporter communications. • Provide actionable supporter insights to improve our engagement performance and accelerate growth,
• Manage the day-to-day running and strategic development of our CRM platform (Salesforce) and work with colleagues to identify how using data can improve the experience we deliver to supporters, and
• Develop and implement effective supporter segmentation and data selections for engagement activity.

• Expertise in creating complex, automated email marketing journeys and integrating data from various sources to provide a seamless user experience. Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, and other relevant coding languages is essential.
• Proven experience in managing remote work, with strong self-discipline and capability in key collaborations tools (such MS Teams, JIRA). Ability to communicate and collaboration with team members and stakeholders effectively, regardless of physical location.

About the Role: The Finance Assistant role is a key member of the Finance team, supporting all aspects of financial operations and management.  The role provides support to fundraisers and other staff across the charity and there are lots of opportunities to get involved in ad hoc projects, such as the development of the Charity’s SharePoint, so it is a very varied and interesting role.

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will hold a key leadership role at the heart of bemix. Main aim: The Head of Fundraising and Communications is responsible for developing and delivering a coherent, values-aligned fundraising and communications strategy that supports bemix’s mission, values and long-term sustainability. Location: The role offers hybrid working, combining remote and office-based work. The post holder is expected to work from a bemix office for a minimum of two days each week with regular travel to other bemix locations across Kent as required. Your office will be based at the Canterbury Innovation Centre, University of Kent site. With access to great facilities, including free parking, cafe, reliable local transport connections and lovely outside spaces to explore on breaks/lunch/walking supervision. Flexibility in working hours and location may be available, by agreement, to support wellbeing and work-life balance in line with our organisational values.

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, whilst working proactively with other professionals, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables. 

This role may include evening and weekend work when required. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies and group work.

• Plan, recruit and deliver group work interventions for children and young people alongside colleagues. 

• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating. 

• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk. 

• Proactively engage with children and young people affected by DA/SV by providing therapeutic sessions tailed to their needs in where they are in their recovery journey. 

• Risk assess and follow FearFree safety procedures to ensure personal safety and that of service users and other staff at all times. 

• Actively support carers and parents in how to support their CYP affected by trauma. This may include working together to ensure the child is support at every stage in their recovery journey. 

• Respond to emergencies and crises with a focus on the child’s wellbeing and safeguarding. 

• Provide child-centred, trauma responsive support to all your cases taking in considering different learning needs, to empower the young person to make informed choices. 

• Enable service users to participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of services. 

• Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things. 

• Act as duty officer, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota.

• Work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.

• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews. 

• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all. 

General

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.  
 

Job Purpose:

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy and support to a caseload of women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with the criminal justice system.
2. Undertake risk and needs assessments and co-producing bespoke support plans with women across the nine pathways to reoffending.
3. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.

Location: The post holder will be contractually based at Hospice House, Britannia Street, London, WC1X 9JG. This role is eligible for the Hospice UK Hybrid Working Arrangement from the start of employment. Our expectation is that you will come to London at least two days each month for team meetings, plus a quarterly ‘all staff’ event, and External Affairs away days a few times a year. The Communications team mostly comes into the office at least once a week on a Wednesday. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time.

The Individual Giving Manager will lead the successful planning and delivery of mid-level giving, managing schemes between £120–£4,999 annually. You will oversee donor cultivation, stewardship, and supporter communications, ensuring the highest standards of engagement and experience.
