As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. Your flair for planning and logistics will enable you to both gather evidence about the experiences of Barnet residents, and to collate existing data. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.

The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. You will work with these stakeholders constructively and persuasively, to seed partnership initiatives and achieve positive change for Barnet residents.

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 required each local authority area to set up a Healthwatch organisation. Healthwatch gives people a powerful voice both locally and nationally. Healthwatch Barnet is about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of their services, not just for the people who use them, but anyone who might need to use them in future.

Healthwatch Barnet transferred to Inclusion Barnet on 1st April 2020. It is commissioned by the London Borough of Barnet to provide the following 6 key functions:

· Gather views and understand the experiences of patients and the public

· Make people’s views known

Organisational leadership and governance 

• Shape, drive and champion the organisation's vision, strategy and big picture thinking

 The Willats Trust gives grants to Christian workers to share the Good News of Jesus in some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in the UK and Ireland.

As a young man in the nineteenth century, William Willats, observed that the poorest people in the city of Bath, where he lived, didn’t go to church simply because they didn’t have suitable clothes to wear to a religious place of worship. As a Christian he felt the injustice of this and set about taking the ‘church’ to the people. He set up a ‘Spiritual Guide’ programme where workers would visit the poorest in society to read them the Bible, pray with them and help them understand God’s word.

During this time, Mr Willats acquired a considerable number of properties across the Bath area.

The Trust currently owns and manages a property portfolio of in excess of £35m and awards approximately £500,000 a year in grants to support ‘Guides’ who bring the Good News of the Gospel to communities with little or no experience of or interaction with the Christian faith. 

We have an ambition to more than double that amount, transform our grant-making to be best-in-class and forge dynamic partnerships that extend the reach of the hope of the Gospel across UK and Ireland.

This role calls for a dynamic Chief Executive, with a Kingdom heart and commitment to evangelism, who brings a breadth of senior leadership experience, commercial skills, and prayerful wisdom in navigating the opportunities and challenges of the season ahead.

About the role:

Kinship is in our third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We are looking for a new Associate Director of Peer Support and Community to build and develop our model and to take the team to the next phase of growth and impact.

Your first priority will be to oversee delivery of the Department for Education national Peer Support Service contract in England. You will lead the development of our hub and spoke model, with an enhanced offer of national resources and support together with a continued focus on on-the-ground support for kinship carers to set up and sustain a network of peer support groups. You will ensure all members of the team have clarity and are empowered to meet new targets and ways of working.

The role will also lead on the strategic development of peer support approaches in Wales (for which we are seeking funding), ensuring innovation and good practice is shared across the nations.

Kinship peer support groups are powerful levers for change in local, regional and national ecosystems. Your team will ensure that every kinship carer in England and Wales has access to a peer support group, or support to set up and create their own. The team will be purposeful about offering developmental support to all kinship peer support groups, including independent groups, ensuring they remain or become sustainable. And that they have resources, training and peer networks to support this.

Reflecting our strategic focus on developing our Kinship Community of more than 10,000 kinship carers across England and Wales, you will lead a new community strategy, co-ordinating the development of opportunities for community connection and community power. This will include taking leadership for developing the Kinship model of community engagement and integrating across all our ‘in person’ and digital services and activities.

You will ensure a collaborative approach with services, alignment with national and local campaigning activity, and work closely with marketing and communications colleagues to support kinship carer reach and engagement with our community offer.

We’re taking an integrated approach to our services, so you’ll collaborate well across teams to ensure that support groups and their leaders have easy access to high quality advice, information and training. The team will need to work closely with colleagues delivering our new training and support contract, funded by the Department for Education.

• Develop and rollout peer support and community strategy and operational plan.

Job Responsibilities

Trust and foundations

• Update the trusts and foundations database and managing the pipeline of activity
• Prepare tailored applications to trusts and foundations
• Manage reporting deadlines to funders
• Work closely with the artistic teams and Executive Director to shape proposals
• Create budgets working with the Executive Director, Finance Director, Artistic Directors and Project Leads 

Individual and Corporate Giving

• Create individual giving schemes, exploring the potential for new initiatives such as membership and legacy programmes
• Cultivate relationships with potential individuals and steward donors
• Research potential corporate supporters – both corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sponsorship
• Pitch to potential donors and supporters

Event Planning

• Create a programme of cultivation events which could:

- thank and nurture existing donors

- act as a precursor to giving

- introduce individuals and companies to potential campaigns

- begin new relationship development

Good practice, such as ethical fundraising

• Development of an ethical fundraising statement, in partnership with Executive and Board
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations
• Supporting team in being part of a fundraising culture

General

• Day to day management of fundraising budget, creating and monitoring income targets and delivering compelling company messaging around charitable giving on and offline. 

Ideal candidates will have skills and experience as shown in the candidate pack including:

• Understanding and experience of performing arts landscape, key figures, organisations and funders.

• Thorough knowledge of the relevant fundraising legislation, regulations and financial issues and fundraising obligations of arts charities/Arts Council National Portfolio Organisations.

• Proactive approach to continuing professional development.
• Experience of dealing with public sector organisations at a senior level.
• Membership of relevant educational and/or professional bodies.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Producer, with strong climate credentials, to lead our small, dedicated production team. As the Executive Producer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the editorial direction in close collaboration with the hosts; oversee the production process end-to-end, including acting as Producer on episodes; and ensure the podcast maintains its high standards of quality and impact. Working closely with the hosts, content creators, and other stakeholders, you will drive the strategic vision of the podcast and spearhead efforts to grow its audience and influence.

Given the size of the team, this is a hands-on role, combining storytelling and editorial excellence, alongside strong climate knowledge and a commitment to driving action and impact.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities:

  1. Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the podcast's mission and objectives. Stay informed about global issues, emerging trends, and audience preferences to ensure relevance and timeliness of content.
  2. Production Oversight: Manage all aspects of podcast production (weekly and deep dive episodes), including planning, scheduling, recording, editing, and distribution. Coordinate with hosts, guests, and production team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
  3. Creative Direction: Provide creative leadership and direction to ensure each episode delivers compelling storytelling, insightful analysis, and engaging conversations. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages experimentation,  creativity and a culture of learning in public.
  4. Audience Engagement: Develop strategies to grow and engage the podcast audience across various platforms, including social media, email newsletters, and live events. Monitor audience feedback and analytics to inform content decisions and optimize performance.
  5. Climate Knowledge and Network: Identify themes and topics for future episodes and series. Develop guest strategy, ensuring the podcast is representing a diverse range of voices and viewpoints
  6. Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships to expand the podcast's reach and revenue potential. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the media industry.
  7. Budget Management: Manage the podcast budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support production needs and strategic initiatives.
  8. Editorial judgement: Assess editorial risks across individual episodes, topics or series, working with colleagues and external resources (e.g. research, legal) when needed
  9. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism across all aspects of production, including audio production, storytelling, and content accuracy. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  10. Funder Relationships: Attend meetings and co-produce regular reports for our philanthropic funders, in addition to collaborating on new fundraising initiatives.

• Proven experience as an executive producer or senior producer in the podcasting or broadcast media industry.
• Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills, with a keen understanding of narrative structure and audience engagement.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting into the Legacy Manager, you will either be able to work in a hybrid way working between home and 2 days per week at our London office or remotely working from home with a requirement to attend our London office for a team anchor day once a month.

About You:

Having previously worked within a direct marketing team within the charity sector, you’ll have experience project managing campaigns with external agencies and internal stakeholders utilising a variety of fundraising channels such as digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. 

You’ll also have gained experience using Dynamics 365, Raisers Edge or a similar database. 

About The Role

• Lead on the planning and implementation of legacy and in mem fundraising portfolio, managing marketing campaigns from initial brief through to post campaign analysis. 
• Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with in mem supporters and legacy prospects in local communities, with the support of community fundraising managers and local volunteers – keeping these supporters at the heart of your work to to maintain and increase their support through excellent stewardship. 
• Prepare and administer correspondence and relevant paperwork and ensure maintenance for full and accurate database (D365/First Class) records, analysing financial and non-financial data to monitor and improve engagement and customer service performance.
• Proactively keep abreast of competitor activities, new initiatives and sector trends. 
• Effectively plan and execute legacy events around the country, with the aim of motivating supporters to consider leaving a gift in their Will.
