This is a hands-on role and requires someone with proven experience of creating high-quality, creative and engaging content across print and digital platforms, including video, email, web and social media.

UK for UNHCR – Director of Individual Giving

Contract: Initial two-year fixed-term contract. 

Location: Hybrid working, with one to two team days per week in London, EC2A.

Working hours: 35 hrs/week.

Salary: £76,000-£84,000 per annum.

UK for UNHCR, the UK partner of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), is seeking an Individual Giving leader to shape the future of Individual Giving at the organisation and unlock long-term, sustainable income growth.

UNHCR stands alongside people forced to flee their homes, advocating for their rights and raising funds to support their protection, dignity and futures. UNHCR’s work has never been more important – by the end of 2024, a record 122.6 million people were displaced, with children accounting for 40% of all forcibly displaced people
UK for UNHCR (UK4U) builds solidarity and raises funds in the UK for refugees worldwide - last year UK4U raised a total income of £25.5 million and continues to build on strong foundations since its beginnings in 2019.
The charity is now seeking a Director of Individual Giving in a new and exciting opportunity to explore how UK4U can expand on these foundations, with a focus on increasing the sustainability of the donor base and maximising lifetime value, as well as identifying opportunities for transformational income growth.

The role will be responsible for leading a team of 12 people and strategic leadership for all fundraising from the UK public, including mid-value and legacy supporters, and covering both digital and offline channels. The post-holder will utilise market insight, data intelligence and an innovative approach to design a high-performing long-term Individual Giving strategy that puts UK4U’s supporters and refugee communities at the heart of everything they do.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of leading successful, large-scale multi-million-pound Individual Giving programmes and proven leadership experience at a senior, strategic level. You will have a strong track record of fostering innovation in Individual Giving, alongside the experience shaping strategy and making significant investment decisions.

You will also have a deep understanding of the UK Individual Giving fundraising market across all channels and of programmes that focus on value, high average gift rates and mid-value programmes. Finally, you will be an inclusive and empowering leader with a strong commitment to the refugee cause. Experience of fundraising for international humanitarian and development causes would be an advantage, as well as understanding of mid-value programmes.

Head of Children and Youth Ministry

The Role

The Diocese of Oxford is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Children and Youth Ministry to lead and oversee the implementation of children and youth strategy across the diocese. This role is pivotal to our commitment to see a growing number of children and young people deeply rooted in Christ and living out their faith in the world in the whole of their lives. 

As an integral part of the strategic leadership team of the Department of Mission and Ministry, you will motivate leaders across deaneries, parishes, and Church House to be both aspirational and practical in their development of thriving children and youth programmes. You will have management and operational responsibility for a dedicated of team children and youth work specialists and administrative support.

About You

We seek an experienced leader in children and youth ministry with a strong understanding of church structures. You should be a strategic ‘thought leader’ capable of inspiring and leading change. The ability to lead, and be accountable, for complex projects is essential. Excellent relational skills are needed to build trust and collaborate effectively across the whole diocese. Experience in team leadership, mentoring, and staff development is required. You will be a committed Christian with a passion for discipleship and church growth among young people.

Purpose of the role:

• To provide innovative, exciting and accessible youth work and youth projects to disabled young people aged 11-25 years old.
• To support the running of Girls Group aged 11 – 25 years, including accompanying minibus runs.

Our programmes are: Independence, Social and Emotional Wellbeing, Employment Support, Creating Communities and Opportunities (cultural experiences), Changemakers (social action), Health and Getting Active (health and fitness) and Greener Futures (environment).
• To support the delivery of our holiday programmes and residentials, providing overnight disturbance cover where you will be responsible for our female members.

Required skills, knowledge and qualifications

• A minimum of 1 years experience in the youth work sector.
• A minimum in Level 2 Youth Work or working towards a qualification.
• A highly motivated, passionate and creative youth worker.
• Strong empathy and a person centred approach.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• A strong understanding of the principles of youth work as a distinctive practice of informal education and voluntary participation.
• An informed understanding of inclusive practice, with an enthusiasm to learn more and share your knowledge.
• Confident use of Microsoft packages.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Able to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
• Willing to work regular evening youth clubs, stay on overnight on residentials and work the (very) occassional weekend.

Desirable

• Experience of supporting learning disabled and autistic young people.
• Knowledge of Makaton or other communication aids.
• To have a driving licence
• Ability to drive a minibus (including a D1 licence and MIDAS qualification).
• First aid and/or mental health first aid training.

Essential Safer Recruitment Criteria

We are looking for a Grand Challenges Coordinator (Social Enterprise) to support the delivery of a Grand Challenges-aligned social innovation pathway at UCL, enabling students to create innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing social issues. 

The role is a full-time and fixed term contract for 24 months. This role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with flexibility to work from home on a 40/60 basis (40% working from the office).

Duties and Responsibilities

• To coordinate and develop social enterprise activities, connecting students with the local Social Enterprise sector
• Work with the Social Enterprise Manager to support a caseload of Grand Challenges-themed student enterprise projects, including project-related finance, providing guidance and supervision
• To provide 1:1 and group support to any student, including Club and Societies members, who want to develop their own business with social impact, in one of the Grand Challenges themes.
• To coordinate and develop high quality well attended events
• To ensure we get accurate participation data about student enterprise, working with the manager to enable KPI reporting
• To collaborate with social enterprise staff across the university landscape and experts to ensure student activities meet a genuine need and will have social impact
• Support the Social Enterprise Manager to coordinate a network of local businesses, non profits, and government agencies to support the growth and sustainability of social enterprise ventures
• With leadership from the Social Enterprise Manager, collect and manage data accurately to enable impact measurement and data insights to continuously improve and refine the programme

This year, we’ve embarked on a bold, strategic initiative to enhance our data capabilities.

We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. With a key focus on effective and efficient operations, collaboration and continuous improvement in our Technology, Strategy and Business Intelligence teams.

To achieve this ambition, we’ve developed a new technology infrastructure which we are calling “Sage”.  We’re implementing new technology infrastructure this year (such as our new CRM system and suite of data tools – Microsoft Dynamics).

The Business Intelligence Reporting Lead will be the MS Society’s leading expert in Power BI and other reporting tools, playing a crucial role in enhancing the organisation’s data maturity and decision-making capabilities. They will be responsible for the design, development, and management of BI reports and dashboards across multiple BI tools, overseeing their full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, maintenance, and optimisation. This includes providing best practice guidance for reporting within systems such as Dynamics and Assemble.

As the expert of BI reporting, they will ensure that staff have access to data, and that reporting mechanisms remains available, effective, and continuously developed to address new and existing challenges. This will involve complex data troubleshooting, including resolving process inefficiencies, data quality issues, and user knowledge gaps. They will work closely with other teams to investigate and resolve these issues.

The BI reporting Lead will contribute to the MS Society’s data, digital, and technical strategy, particularly within Microsoft Azure data architecture, and play a key role in shaping the strategic use of BI tools across the organisation. Through independent research, collaboration with peers, and engagement with stakeholders, they will define the future direction of BI tools, ensuring that the MS Society can fully leverage its data for informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

What’s the job?

This maternity cover role will have a significant and stabilising impact, ensuring co-ordination in governance, HR, and compliance for the Union of Brunel Students. The postholder will act as a key operational anchor, supporting legal integrity, staff wellbeing, and organisational continuity.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to step into a vital fixed-term position during the maternity leave of our Head of People and Compliance. This role ensures continuity and excellence across governance, HR coordination and legal compliance.

You will work closely with the Trustee Board, Senior Leadership Team, and Union staff to uphold high standards in documentation, policy, and people management.

From servicing board meetings to managing recruitment and GDPR processes, your work will be central to our success, promote a positive workplace culture and supporting the Union’s mission to be a trusted and effective organisation for students, staff, and trustees.

The Role

As Head of Fundraising, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Fundraising and Marketing to develop and deliver The Kirkwood’s new fundraising strategy.

This is a senior, strategic role, working in close partnership with the Business Development Manager, Head of Retail, and Media & Marketing teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, supporting and motivating an energetic, passionate and high-performing fundraising team, including Community, Events, In Memory and Individual Giving.
• Identifying and developing new opportunities, producing business cases, and delivering pilot activity to sustainably grow the fundraising portfolio.
• Setting, monitoring, analysing and reporting on budgets, and on financial and non-financial performance.
• Upholding the ethos and values of The Kirkwood, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.

The Person

We are looking for an inspiring leader with significant senior management experience, ideally gained within the charity or voluntary sector. You will have strong knowledge of the charity fundraising landscape, along with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the Data Officer will meet data needs relating to the management and delivery of supporter and engagement products. You will work alongside three other Data Officers to assess, prioritise and provide solutions including the building of data selections and journeys for direct marketing purposes and the running of supporter data imports and exports.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering data selections, Building automated journeys for fundraising and engagement activity to support increased income generation and supporter retention, ensuring communications are delivered to agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Providing reports and data sets to supporter product owners, managers and delivery staff to help them maximise the impact of activities.

About You

You will have experience of using CRM Dynamics, Faststats and  PeopleStage and or any Donor CRM for marketing purposes. You will receive support while you are learning to use any of the tools and applications the team use and will be actively encouraged in the development of your data and analytical skills. Communication skills play a key part in this role, because you will need to be able to talk through or present selections or solutions to stakeholders.

You will have a proven record of:

• Working with large datasets for marketing purposes and provide solutions and or data in response to enquiries from colleagues and other teams.
• Using a relational customer/supporter database to import and export data to and from external suppliers; including data mapping and the design of appropriate import processes.
• Use of a marketing automation tools such as Faststats and PeopleStage.

About the Role

• Develop compelling proposals that articulate the impact of the Youth Zone’s work, leveraging live data, case studies, and feedback from youth workers to bring applications to life
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure funding needs are clearly understood and prioritised, maintaining regular communication with delivery leads to shape project bids that reflect current and emerging needs
• Build and manage relationships with funders, developing stewardship plans that include timely reporting, in-person or virtual engagement, and opportunities for funder visits to the Youth Zone
• Act as a passionate advocate for the Youth Zone, representing the charity at networking events, funder meetings, and promotional visits, and supporting the wider fundraising team on campaigns and events when needed.

About You

You will have experience of:

• Writing successful funding applications or proposals, ideally in the voluntary or public sector, securing four- and five-figure gifts from trusts, foundations, or statutory sources
• Managing a fundraising pipeline or prospect list, from initial research through to application and stewardship, using a CRM system such as Salesforce to track progress and outcomes
