The Trust has an annual income of c.£4.5m which enables us to find loving homes for around half of the 8,000 greyhounds that retire from racing every year.  

The Role

Planning and delivery of the Greyhound Trust’s fundraising from individuals to support delivery of our organisational strategy.

This is a new role within our new and growing income generation and engagement team. Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Engagement, the Greyhound Trust looks to you to review and develop current Individual Giving income streams, identify and implement new opportunities and deliver a sustainable growth plan suited to the Greyhound Trust brand, stakeholders, resources and strategic aspirations. We need to build a strong financial foundation that will allow us to care for and home even more greyhounds both today and in the future, engaging new supporters and motivating existing ones to continue their support.

What you will do

• Under the direction of the Head of Income Generation and Engagement, create, deliver and evaluate a long-term Individual Giving strategy.
• Build a diverse and sustainable individual giving portfolio suited to the Greyhound Trust brand, stakeholders, resources and growth aspirations.
• Plan and deliver engaging multi-channel fundraising campaigns, appeals and/or product promotions
• Use data and insight to drive performance, monitor results, and build cases for support.
• Develop and deliver supporter journeys to encourage loyalty and growth across all income stream.
• Integrate individual giving with wider brand, marketing, communications and retail initiatives.
• Provide support to branches in ad hoc individual giving activities.
• Work collaboratively with the PR / Engagement Manager to maximise impact of  integrated campaigns both nationally and with branches.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a large Public Sector Body on a 1 year FTC. The postholder will be overseeing the financial management team and overseeing the full budgeting and forecasting process. This role will involve working closely with budget holders to ensure a smooth operation of the financial management function as well as managing a team of qualified Accountants. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the Financial Management Team
• Managing the production of monthly and quarterly management accounting information to a variety of audiences, both regional and national
• Ensuring that budget holders receive and understand financial, economic and resource information necessary to fulfil their own responsibilities
• Management of the production of the annual statutory accounts

· Build effective relationships across the institution and externally, including auditors, investment managers, and regulators

· Deputise for the Director of Finance when required

In order to be successful in the role we're looking for;

· A qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent)

· Significant experience in managing financial control and operations including VAT, Tax relief, treasury in a charitable/education/not-for-profit organisation of similar size and complexity

· Able to self-sufficiently lead a smooth, accurate and timely year end process

· Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, able to ensure correct accounting treatment of restricted, unrestricted and endowment income

· A proven track record of leading finance teams and driving process improvements, thriving to develop a best-in-class finance function

· Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at a senior level

· Experience in investment and endowment accounting is strongly desirable

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Senior Supporter Journeys Executive to help us shape how our supporters experience our charity. Working at the heart of the Individual Giving team, you’ll design and deliver engaging, insight-led journeys that build loyalty, reduce attrition, and encourage long-term support.

This is an exciting time for the charity as we're delivering a new 3-year fundraising strategy with a particular focus on loyalty. In this newly created role, you'll play a key part in making sure every touchpoint, from the first welcome to ongoing engagement, feels personal, timely, and meaningful.

You'll be responsible for developing and improving multi-channel journeys for both new and existing supporters, coordinating the creation of journeys from various channels to help increase conversion. You’ll also support the design and rollout of journeys for key segments, including legacy enquirers and tribute fund donors.

Working with our data and insight colleagues, you’ll monitor journey performance using key metrics like retention and lifetime value. You'll use our CRM and Email Service Provider to identify opportunities, track activity, and coordinate testing of messaging and value propositions to maximise engagement.

As a key collaborator, you’ll work with colleagues across the organisation and with external agencies to ensure our supporter journeys are joined up and focused on the individual.  

What we want from you

This role is a great fit for someone with experience in Individual Giving, donor stewardship, or similar supporter experience roles. You'll have a strong understanding of what drives loyalty and retention, and a clear grasp of donor lifetime value.

Your project coordination skills will be essential as you manage multiple priorities across teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient delivery. We need someone who’s comfortable working with data and insight to inform decisions, using CRMs (ideally Raiser’s Edge) and email platforms like Adestra to improve supporter journeys and campaign performance. You'll also have a good working knowledge of direct marketing concepts and multi-channel delivery, including mail, email, and digital.

We're looking for an independent thinker who can not only manage projects but also proactively identify and develop new opportunities from their own observations. With your collaborative mindset, you'll be able to work effectively across teams and adapt to changing priorities, always focused on delivering an exceptional supporter experience that's insight-led and truly impactful.

What the job involves

We're on the lookout for a motivated Direct Marketing professional to bring their skills to our Individual Giving Team, with a focus on retention campaigns.

Direct Marketing plays an important role in the Charity’s fundraising and overall corporate strategy. We’re looking for a confident and proactive fundraiser to take responsibility for the delivery and ongoing development of our current retention programme.

You’ll deliver timely, targeted, relevant communications to our warm audiences; newly recruited and existing cash supporters and regular givers with the aim of strengthening loyalty and increasing their lifetime value.

With internal and external stakeholders, you’ll project manage existing direct marketing campaigns in the form of direct mail appeals, emails, telemarketing and occasional stewardship events. You’ll consistently analyse KPIs and make evidence-based decisions to help assist with growing the programme and delivering our overall financial target.

What we want from you

Aside from excellent knowledge and experience of working in a direct marketing environment, which includes developing and implementing retention focused direct marketing campaigns, you’ll also have a range of channel experience and marketing knowledge.

You’ll possess first class communication skills, a strong team ethic and you’ll be at ease working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance. Knowledge of direct marking and fundraising law would be advantageous.

Summary of the role:

The Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager will oversee the development of existing high-net (HNW) donors and pipeline new high-net prospects. You will work closely with key Third Party supporters to establish our presence nationally.

A key part of their role will be to strategise to identify high-net donors and foster long term relationships so Muslim Aid is their charity of choice.

You will also work closely with fundraising and supporter services to organise tactical, innovative, bespoke and strategic events to meet the requirements of high-net donors and maximise major gifts like no other.

About the Role:

1. Develop a three-year high-net donor strategy with stakeholders that drives long-term sustainable revenue and year on year growth.
2. Develop short-, medium- and long-term strategies to maintain engagement, retention and increase revenue with existing and prospective donors that supports our organisational strategy.
3. Develop a full Philanthropy & Legacy system to review fundraising forecasts, review progress and implement quarterly tactical activation plans to recover potential losses.
4. Conduct market and internal analysis to identify novel funding prospects. Use innovative thinking to devise creative fundraising strategies and solve problems as they arise.
5. Develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy, aligning with our overarching objectives and CSR initiatives. Manage the budget to ensure maximum ROI on fundraising activities.
6. Incorporate legal and regulatory standard into all fundraising activities design/delivery.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Significant experience in fundraising, corporate relationship and/or high-net donor development.
2. Proven track record in implementing corporate / business / high-net donor strategy and achieving challenging targets.
3. Experience in public speaking and presenting information to executive level audiences.
4. Knowledge of a wide range of fundraising mechanisms including CRM, sponsorship, brand association and employee fundraising.
5. Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
6. Highly developed negotiation skills.

Job requirements & duties

To plan, prepare and deliver a range of Forest School sessions, with guidance/instruction from the CEO, and support from school staff. Groups will include children and adults with learning disabilities and mental health concerns. The Forest School leader will be expected to:

· Plan and deliver Forest School education-based activities to a wide age range.

· Create and maintain a safe, engaging and supportive environment, demonstrating flexibility in planning and running sessions in response to varying/changing needs of the groups.

· Comply with all health and safety policies, measures and legislation.

· Supervise and support groups with varying needs while delivering sessions.

· Be aware of and comply with all Mudlarks Policies and Procedures.

· Participate in training and other learning activities/meetings as required.

· Administer first aid as the need arises.

· Assist with Risk Assessments where required.

· Follow reporting procedures as outlined by the CEO.

· Ensure that receipts for all purchases are kept and passed to the finance officer.

· Ensure that all spending is approved by the CEO.

· Provide information for reports and Mudlarks trustee meetings.

· You may be required to carry out other duties, as within your capabilities and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the organisation and as requested by the CEO.

Essential

· Experience of leading groups or working with people with learning disabilities.

· First Aid Certificate or a willingness to gain one.

· Level 3 Forest School qualification, or a desire to gain one*.

The Community Fundraising Executive works closely with the National Community Fundraising Manager to deliver short and mid-term strategic plans and priorities for the function. The role is responsible for growing community awareness of the charity and driving fundraising activity across the region to meet income targets by proactively seeking out creating new opportunities and relationships. The key areas of activity the role is responsible for include generating and building relationships with community groups, organisations, volunteers and supporters, identifying new opportunities and leads within the region that will generate new income streams for the charity, and presenting to local organisations and groups within the region.
