We’re looking for an experienced marketing manager with a passion for project management to oversee the development and delivery of our multi-channel marketing campaign, supported by our media agency.

About the role:
This role is responsible for the development and delivery of our multi-channel media campaign in collaboration with our media agency Zenith, the conception of our creative campaign and management of internal stakeholders to maximise promotional opportunities.
A typical week in this role might involve:
- Overseeing the delivery of project plan tasks across different stakeholders, to make sure everyone is meeting set KPIs and working to deadline
- Managing our relationship with the media agency, monitoring channel performance to make optimisations
- Working with creative agencies to brief and produce assets, using audience insights, that will inspire people to sign up for a Mighty Hike
- Managing expenditure budgets to ensure spend is tracking accurately against different media plans and suppliers
- Using data to report on performance and identify opportunities to drive growth and test new activations
- Leading on meetings with internal and external stakeholders to present the Mighty Hikes and inspire high levels of engagement and support
This role does require weekend work (although not at your desk) as you’ll be out and about cheering on our participants. A full UK driver’s license is preferred and a willingness to drive a van is a bonus. You will be compensated for your weekend work with days in lieu.

Main duties
Fundraising CRM Project Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end project to replace the current CRM system, including an audit of existing data, research into CRM options, supplier selection and full onboarding and implementation.
- Manage and maintain the current Salesforce system during the review period, ensuring it remains functional, accurate, and fit for purpose while supporting the transition process.
- Act as the day-to-day lead for the CRM system within the Fundraising and Communications team, ensuring it meets team needs and supports strategic goals.
CRM and Data Management
- Maintain and improve the quality of supporter data through regular cleansing, deduplication, and tagging to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance.
- Working with data flows and setting up integrations, ensuring the system runs smoothly on an ongoing basis, making updates, troubleshooting issues whilst maintaining data consistency.
- Work with the Finance team to support integration between the CRM and finance systems for seamless donation and income reporting.
Data Selections, Segmentation and Campaign Support
- Collaborate with the Fundraising team to perform targeted data selections for appeals, newsletters, stewardship journeys, and events.
- Develop and maintain segmentation structures and logic to support personalised supporter journeys and strategic targeting.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to provide campaign-ready data for fundraising, advocacy, and engagement activities.
Reporting and Insight
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real time insight into fundraising performance, donor behaviour and campaign results.
- Create and deliver regular and ad hoc fundraising analysis to inform strategic decisions and performance tracking.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve donor retention, upgrade journeys and lifetime value through data driven insight.
Key responsibilities
- In conjunction with your Line Manager, continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
- Proactively flag any data integrity issues with Line Manager and help develop action plans as required.

The Role
Working within our International Partnerships, Programmes and Research (IPPR) team, you will develop, accompany, and coordinate locally-led peacebuilding projects, partnerships and networks, primarily in conflict-affected countries in the Great Lakes and Central Africa regions of Africa. You will also support the coordination of partnerships and engagement with local peacebuilding efforts in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) within our multi-year programme ‘Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System’, funded by the Dutch MfA.
As Senior Partnerships and Programmes Officer you will work closely with our SPOs who manage existing partnerships and create opportunities to bring partners together to learn from one another. You will also support the development, coordination and delivery of Local First, working closely with the International Programmes Manager and Peace Direct’s Netherlands Country Representative.
We are looking for someone with experience supporting peacebuilding, development or humanitarian projects, with a good understanding of peacebuilding approaches, and who can build effective, trust-based relationships with local partners. You must be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively, have excellent organisational skills and be able to work in both English and French.

The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will be our lead fundraiser, drawing in support and expertise from across the team. They will take ownership of identifying funding sources, refining a strategy, forecasting our fundraising income, and building strong relationships with donors, bringing the experiences of our group members to life in fundraising communications. They will line management a full-time fundraiser who specialises in individual giving while the Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will lead on grant writing.
In the last 5 years, CARAS has had huge success, more than trebling our income and enabling us to expand our staff team and therefore our reach. We are a highly impactful organisation that is often looked to for our insight in the sector. The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations is required to lead a wide range of activities. You will be expected to manage your own time, prioritising tasks and leading a small team of people who contribute to CARAS’ fundraising. RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising

Line-manage our Fundraising Officer and work together to generate income to meet CARAS’s budgetary targets through trusts and foundations, individual giving, community fundraising and other means at our disposal.

Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which synchronises with the CARAS Strategic Plan.

Research and maintain a real-time pipeline of fundraising opportunities and oversee delivery. Lead or allocate all income generation opportunities in good time so that appropriate co-design and decision-making processes are behind applications.

Maintain up-to-date records on potential and active funders in CARAS’s database.

Ensure compliance with best practice in fundraising including use of data and confidentiality.

To work as part of a team that provide high quality casework and grant applications to farming people that come to RABI for support.
