Jigsaw4u’s Piece of Mind Service helps 11 to 25 year-old young people in SW London overcome depression and/or anxiety. We are seeking 1 full-time counsellor, or 2 part-time counsellors, to support 15 referrals over 3 months, in the London Boroughs of Kingston and Richmond.
There is the potential for this fixed-term contract to become permanent.
Each young person receives 6 to 16 targeted, evidence based therapeutic support sessions. Support sessions will be delivered at our Kingston-Upon Thames hub, at school, home or in the community where appropriate. The counsellor will liaise with parents/carers, and referrers and partner agencies as appropriate. They will evaluate the interventions through use of Outcomes Star and other agreed measurement tool.
Jigsaw4u is a community charity that helps children, young people and families across South West London put the pieces back together following social and emotional difficulties.
We have a multi-disciplinary team of Specialist Support Practitioners and Therapists, with a proud 27-year history and values that are informed by our shared experiences and feedback from our service-users.
We work with community and statutory partners to deliver over 24 services, including support for pre and post bereavement, depression and anxiety, young people in the care system or leaving care, domestic violence, young victims of crime, prisoners’ families and parenting programmes.

Main Responsibilities
• To work with your staff team and others in the development of support, assisting people we support with plans which accurately reflect their own needs, strengths and wishes.
• Maintain effective knowledge of all company procedures and policies, help develop the company and its policies to provide outstanding support to every person we support.
• To ensure that all statutory requirements are adhered to familiarise yourself with local commissioning and main contracts under which we provide support (SIS).
• Actively assisting in the prevention of accidents to people we support, staff teams and others
• Promote housing cleanliness and maintenance to a sociably acceptable standard including maintaining up-to-date Health and Safety and risk assessments.
• Supporting people to maintain accommodation and grounds, recognise self-neglect and report any concerns.
• Recognising poor or bad practise and reporting at all times anything which concerns you.
• Promoting and adhering to all aspects of Health & Safety at work, making sure you report all and any issues that may be a risk to you or others.
• Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent or willing to work towards the qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the care sector is essential.
• Experience working in a supported living setting with individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

About you
We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader to join our team at Glasgow Shamrock Street Pet Hospital. You’ll hold clinical governance responsibility for the hospital and lead the Veterinary Surgeon team to deliver an efficient, professional and caring service to pets and owners in the local community.
This role will particularly suit a vet who enjoys a surgically biased caseload and who takes a medical, pragmatic approach to decision-making, focusing on evidence-based options and the best plan for each pet and owner. You’ll have the space and support to develop surgical leadership while working alongside a team that values clear plans, good communication and practical medicine.
You’ll be responsible for all aspects of team leadership, including recruitment, selection, coaching and development. You’ll be confident communicating with a wide range of clients, enjoy working collaboratively, and be committed to sharing skills and leading by example to develop others across clinical practice.
Work pattern & rota
We recognise the importance of work–life balance and have a rota designed to support it:
- 4 days clinical duties per week
- 1 day per week off-rotas, protected for team administration/leadership time
- 1 weekend in every 8 weekends (planned well in advance) to allow you to organise life outside work with confidence
- Weekend working can be a full weekend, or flexible split options can be discussed
- We look after our people. Weekend working is supported with stand-down time in the week, and if clinical emergencies keep you late, you’ll get time back in lieu, something our teams really value.

About the role
Reporting in to the Head of the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC), the Advocacy & Policy Lead provides strategic leadership and oversight of MCC policy and advocacy strategy, defining influencing priorities, and coordinates with other Advocacy leads to co-design thematic global advocacy strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational values and goals

Job Summary
As Senior IDVA you will work within a dynamic, fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. This role combines oversight of the Duty IDVA service with specialist responsibility for MARAC coordination and participation. You will lead on MARAC responsibilities, oversee the Duty service, line manage two Duty IDVAs, support the Angelou Service Manager with administrative tasks, and hold a reduced caseload providing high-quality advocacy and support based on client-led needs and risk assessments.
You will ensure that the Duty service runs effectively, maintaining referral pathways, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place and embedded into working practice supporting those covering duty as required.
You will line manage the Duty IDVAs and will manage the allocation of cases from duty, liaising with Managers. You will assist the Manager with data collection, data analysis and problem solving.
Acting as the MARAC lead for the team you will oversee the quality of the internal MARAC process, ensuring cases are prepared and presented effectively, attend MARAC meetings on a rota basis and follow up on agreed actions.
You will also contribute to duty work, conducting calls and initial assessments and responding to crises, working within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women referred to our service.
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. The post holder will be proficient in data collection and case work recording. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Emmaus Overview
Emmaus is a community that provides accommodation and work for vulnerable people. We are committed to providing support while promoting independence. Supported Living Operations
- Ensure the delivery of measurable and high performing supported living services. Manage and drive improvements in the performance and quality of all services by setting clear objectives, targets and KPIs, evidence regular monitoring and implementation of actions to address under performance.
- Ensure all supported living services meet or exceed regulatory standards (e.g. CQC or equivalent) and internal quality benchmarks.
- Develop and implement systems to measure and report on service outcomes and impact.
- Lead on contract negotiations with funding bodies and across the region to maximise income for the delivery of supported living services.
- Ensure services are co-produced and that co-production is central to the work of the supported living teams and services are delivered in line with the ‘I-statements’.
- Through the Theory of Change, develop a clear model of active support that enables independence and clarity of needs led provision.

Housing Management
- Ensure properties are fully let to minimise void loss to the target groups identified in the approved strategy.
- Work with colleagues in the Property and Land Services to secure alternative use for unlettable properties to maximises income aligned to agreed plans, tenure and opportunity.
Strategy Implementation, planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Contribution to and implementation of the approved strategies and tactical plans that support the delivery of a Brilliant Future (e.g. Older People, Community Development, Stakeholder Engagement) .
- Develop and manage a significant and comprehensive operational annual budget and set of KPIs in line with income constraints and create evaluation & monitoring systems that drive value for money and agreed delivery objectives.
- Develop and manage budgets for supported living services, ensuring financial sustainability recognising that the Charity does not fundraise for statutory provision.
- Monitor and control expenditure, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Provide monthly insights, performance reports and analysis using proportionate systems appropriate to different audiences and including Executive, Board of Trustees and Trust strategic documents (such as Annual Report and Impact Reporting).
- Ensure contracts are approved and in place for the delivery of all commissioned services.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead on the development and maintenance of purposeful operational relationships with key stakeholders within the region including funders, commissioners, health services and other partners.
- Work with stakeholders to develop and transform services to meet evolving needs of the local community.
- Support fundraising activity by providing impact reporting as required by the fundraising team and our supporters and local development of volunteering programmes that add value to the unique services of the trust.

Governance, Regulation and EDIB
- Ensure that all supported living activities adhere to charity and housing legislation and meet contractual obligations
- Ensure supported living services comply with the regulatory requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
- Represent the charity internally and externally, including Trustee meetings, as required.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent.

- Experience of working and leading teams in not for profit and voluntary sector organisations which deliver services for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

- Experience in coaching and mentoring for success.
- Experience in significant budget management responsibilities.
- Experience in seeking new growth opportunities that are aligned to business strategy.
- Significant experience of managing change, successful service redesign and transformation, in particular lean thinking and other typical models.
- Experience of successfully leading teams to affect and embed change through powerful communications and engagement.
- Knowledge of housing management and housing legislation.
