Pathfinders is a user-led charity run by and for people living with muscle-weakening conditions. We support disabled people and those who employ personal assistants (PAs) through peer support, information, training, and advocacy. About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of an exciting new learning and development project for individual employers and personal assistants. The project will support people who employ PAs through direct payments and their PAs to develop the knowledge and skills they need through videos, peer-led training, discussion sessions, and case studies.
You will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of the project, ensuring activities run smoothly, are well-attended, and meet the needs of learners. You’ll work closely with people with lived experience of employing PAs, guest speakers, partner organisations, and the wider Pathfinders team to deliver high-quality, accessible training and resources.

Role Overview:
Our Sport and Inclusion Tutor will lead, deliver and develop our intervention programmes, focusing on mentoring young people accessing our Tackle LIFE and Be You programmes. - Project manage elements of our programmes, planning and preparing for each session, including liaising and negotiating with internal and external partners.

Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in mentoring young people with a range of needs and managing complex behaviour issues.
- Experience of delivering inclusive sporting activities to children with a range of disabilities ranging from mild to complex.
- Experience of delivering sport in Primary, Middle and Secondary School environments.
- Experience in delivering a wide variety of high-quality classroom and practical based activities, as well as flexibility to adapt to the needs and challenges presented by the variety of young people.
- Experience and ability to communicate professionally across different levels including young people, school and college professionals, funders, and other key partners.
- Ability to deliver to a high standard and to the values of Blues Foundation, as well as an ability to contribute to wider work and impact of Blues Foundation.
- Ability to work and deliver in a team environment, as well as individually. The successful candidate should be motivated, demonstrate a positive attitude towards the work of the Foundation.
- Understanding and/or experience in the education sector, secondary experience is desirable.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and learners.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent level qualification desirable but not essential.
- QTS, PGCE or other teaching qualifications would be desirable.
- Level 2 coaching award or equivalent experience.
- Full and clean driving license.

Quality assurance (QA) across our question answering functionality. Our coders have developed thousands of question generators that need to be tested to ensure they work as intended; we also upload real GCSE and A level questions that need to maintain fidelity to the real thing while being translated into an online environment. You’ll be testing these questions, finding ways to break them, working out where equivalents don’t work when they should - or shouldn’t - using your mathematical knowledge in a unique way.

Customer support. We receive around a dozen emails to our support inbox each day from teachers and students who need help with account management and users who’ve spotted something that’s broken. We’re seeking someone who can efficiently problem solve account issues and act as a detective: working out how to replicate an issue a user is having, effectively document it, and pass it onto our devs to fix.

Social media administration. Jamie might be the face of our social media channels it couldn’t happen without support around the edges. That includes captioning/transcription, adding titles and descriptions, and using our site tooling to link videos to our platform. Some of this is routine, but some requires judgement and social media nous, like deciding on what makes for an effective caption.
Beyond these duties, we intend on making the most of the appointee’s strengths to delve deeper into at least one of these areas with dedicated projects to be presented to the management team. That might be presenting a big-picture vision of how we can increase fidelity to real exam questions in an online environment, or experimenting with AI supportdesk tools to respond to queries, or designing a social media content strategy that aligns with our goals – all areas that aren’t urgent to fix, but have high potential to make a difference. We know we can always learn and improve, and hugely value the insight of fresh pairs of eyes. Our ideal candidate will be keen to get stuck into these challenges and relish the experience to work with a wide range of our team members.
