As our client's Scheme manager you will provide a housing management service to tenants in their Over 55s housing schemes, and the wider community, which promote independence, health and well-being. You will be their voice, advocating on their behalf and providing them with information on the facilities that are available, putting new tenants and their families at ease about what they can expect. You will  complete Health and Safety checks to ensure they always deliver a high standard of service and will encourage tenant engagement and involvement to ensure the health and wellbeing of tenants You will enjoy the company of our tenants and interact with them daily to ensure they are providing the best possible care that you would want for a family member. You will manage repairs and ensure tenants are kept up to date on the progress, monitoring contractors and visitors to the scheme, making sure that their policies are adhered to all times.

With knowledge and experience of the needs of older people, you will be passionate, working with our tenants and will appreciate the importance of providing great customer service. You will have a strong customer focus and will demonstrate empathy, patience, humour and a ‘can do’ attitude.  You will be accustomed to responding quickly to service demands, working with integrity, tact and diplomacy ensuring appropriate confidentiality is maintained.

We are looking for a Regional Fundraising Manager to coordinate fundraising activity in the local area, ensuring that supporters and other key stakeholders (members, local authorities, partners etc.) receive the support necessary to maximise impact.

This is a remote working role with regular travel around the Essex area.

Exclusion from education happens when a child is suspended from school (temporarily or permanently) but it also happens when they are sent out of the class, put into an isolation room, or even wander around corridors doing all they can to avoid going to their lessons! With 32 million ‘learning days’ lost in 22/23 (up from 19 million, pre covid) this is serious societal problem with devastating lifelong consequences for young people – especially those from poorer backgrounds. With teams in England, Scotland and Wales, working with hundreds of ‘at risk’ students, we are looking to appoint a Regional Manager in South East Wales who will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of our programme in Wales. Job Purpose:

The main purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate communications activities across the Society’s policy and external affairs activities, ensuring that our work is communicated strategically and visible to appropriate audiences.

Working for the RSS

Pension and benefits

Our defined contribution pension scheme can be joined after three months in post. Your contributions of up to 8% of salary will be double matched by the Society (making a maximum contribution by the Society of 16%). A training budget, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and employee assistance programme are also available. 

Location

The RSS office is in central London. We offer flexible working arrangements, and this is a hybrid role with a minimum two days a week working in the office. In person attendance for certain meeting is required, including all-staff / team meetings and governance / committee meetings that take place in person. Limited travel within the UK and internationally may be required.

Working hours

Together Women is looking for an outstanding Senior Manager to lead our Humberside team, and to manage our busy and vibrant Women’s Centre in Hull City Centre, as well as our hubs across Bridlington, Beverley and Goole.

Together Women is an award-winning charity that supports women and girls across the North of England, with particular focus on women who are involved in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. Our vision is for women and girls to feel safe, valued and in control of their own life choices.

From our Women Centres, we provide tailored support across a range of different pathways, including housing, domestic abuse, debt and unemployment. As a charity led by women, for women, we provide trauma informed, holistic support to help break cycles of trauma, abuse and re-offending, and evoke systems change.

Women become involved in the Criminal Justice System for a complex range of reasons. In our gender-specific centres, we provide holistic support to women by women, to overcome challenges and address needs. We support women build upon their strengths and work through any barriers that are preventing them from progressing and achieving their potential.

Role summary

As Senior Manager for Humberside Women’s Centres you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our centres and contract delivery in Humberside. Working closely with the Director of Services and supported by a senior key worker your focus will be on providing high quality, trauma-responsive support to women with experience of, or at risk of entering the criminal justice system.

You will lead on managing and delivering our contracts across Humberside to ensure our operational and strategic objectives are met. You will also focus on building excellent relationships with funders and key partners and identifying new partnership and advocacy opportunities.

Supported by a Senior Key Worker, your responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day management of our Women's Centres and contract delivery partners across various locations, including our Hull Women’s Centre, our Hubs in Goole, Beverley, and Bridlington, as well as partnerships in Grimsby and Scunthorpe. 

Managing a team of Key Workers, you will be responsible for ensuring women and girls receive an exceptional service from within a safe, trauma-responsive, women-only spaces. Working alongside our statutory and non-statutory partners in Criminal Justice and Health and Social Care, you will ensure the continued strategic development of the Women’s Centre and represent Together Women at local and regional level.

Your responsibilities will also include identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities, and ensuring the continuity of existing services through effective contract management. As a forward-thinking individual, you will contribute to the wider strategic direction of the organisation as part of the senior management team, which will entail submitting high-quality monitoring reports to funders, line and team management, and contributing to the ongoing development of the vision, mission and values of Together Women.

About Us:

Strength & Learning Through Horses provides mental health and education support to some of London’s most vulnerable young people through offering equine assisted therapy and alternative education programmes. The organisation’s ability to deliver excellence in its service quality is dependent upon a skilled and competent workforce where learning and continuous improvement is a fundamental aim.

Strength & Learning Through Horses has been in operation for over 10 years and has grown year on year in terms of income and number of young people reached and number of services we offer.

We have 5 full time and 5 part time contracted staff members, 18 freelance staff members and work with 17 volunteers. 400 – 500 young people per year benefit from our life changing services; our hope is that this will increase to 700+ per year from 2027 once the building project at our site is complete. We have ambitious longer term plans for growth.

We have been operating in North London for over 10 years from a small stables, after our lease sadly came to an end in January 2023 we moved to our long term home. This was a derelict stables owned by the Council which we have secured via a 25 year lease. In 2022-23 we raised £300,000 to get the site usable as an equine therapy centre although it is still very run down with much of it boarded up an derelict. We now have full planning permission to develop the site and build a purpose built equine therapy centre which will allow us to double the number of young people who access the space.

About the Role:

To make this dream a reality we are looking for an experienced Capital Fundraising Manager to lead the Capital fundraising campaign for this project to raise £700,000 over 2 years in order to fund this build.

The hope is to raise £350,000 in year one in order to fund half of the build (stage 1) with the remaining funding being secured in the 2nd year to complete the build in year 2. We have a strong track record of fundraising including recently securing 5 years core costs funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we have warm relationships that we can call on once this fundraising campaign gets activated.
