About the role
This role is responsible for leading the relationship fundraising programme in the north, midlands and Scotland. You’ll help to develop and implement strategies to engage new audiences and foster high lifetime value relationships, as well as surprise and delight loyal supporters.
Uniquely, you’ll help to implement a large-scale pilot to enhance the charity’s presence in key local areas to grow long term sustainable income. New roles in your team will develop portfolios of supporters as well as further grow Tickled Pink, an award-winning partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! which has raised over £100m, by directly supporting colleagues across Asda stores.
You’ll manage a team of 9 including 3 line reports. You’ll inspire, motivate and coach them to excel in their roles, to help continue the growth that the relationship fundraising team has seen over the last five years. This role is also responsible for the community fundraising operations team, which manage mass market DIY fundraising and deliver key projects.

Strategically and commercially minded, you believe in going the extra mile and enjoy a varied, fast paced role. You are flexible and adaptable, and you love trialling different approaches and the buzz of creating new income.
If you have a good understanding of mass market DIY fundraising, including supporter journeys, data processes and analysis, that’s a bonus. Your solid experience in community fundraising or another fundraising discipline, with proven success in leading teams and growing income through relationships, will make you a perfect fit for this rewarding role.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
The role can be based in our Sheffield or Glasgow offices, or remotely if based in another area in the midlands, north of England or Scotland. If office-based, our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home. Regular travel will be required to our offices in London, Sheffield and Glasgow.

We’re looking for acreative and strategic senior communications manager to amplify Heard’s voice, grow our influence, and share learning that drives narrative change.
As senior communications manager, you’ll set direction for our communications, creating content, build relationships, and bring our impact stories to life as well as being responsible for managing all our communications day-to-day. You’ll work closely with programme teams, funders, and partners to ensure Heard’s work is visible and accessible.
Whilst you will work with all of our five programme teams, a majority of your time will focus on our climate programme. You don’t need to be a climate expert but have an awareness of TV and and foster partnerships with media to transform how climate is seen and felt on screen by helping the team develop impactful climate and health story case studies to fulfill our mission of changing hearts and minds.

OVERVIEW
- Job type: 18-month fixed-term contract (potential to extend, subject to funding)
- Days: 0.8 full-time equivalent (FTE) – totalling 25.6 hours per week* not including breaks (Mon – Thurs).
- We will consider 0.6 or 0.7 FTE to allow more flexibility for the right candidate.
- Pay: £42,510 (per annum pro rata – so for 0.8 FTE this works out as £34,010)
- Staff Benefits: 7.5% pension contribution, generous holiday leave, birthday leave, Christmas leave plus bank holidays, annual training budget, mentoring, and hybrid working.
- Reporting to: co-ceos (Sophie Hobson and Nathalie McDermott)
- Based at: London-based / hybrid.
- Working at least 2 days a week in the office, one of which is a Tuesday.
- Our office is on Cambridge Heath Road, London, E2 9DA.
*Heard is trialling the Four-Day Week as part of our commitment to well-being, sustainability and effectiveness. This means our full-time equivalent has reduced from 35 to 32 hours, spread Mon – Thurs. Our trustees will review whether to permanently adopt Four-Day Week in early 2026, at which point we will work carefully with all our team to ensure all work patterns are sustainable for them, regardless of the decision. About the role
Thousands of people in our communities are affected by breast cancer, and many of these are compelled to help by fundraising for Breast Cancer Now. To enable us to best support our network of fundraisers, and create a leading sector programme, we've just reconfigured our relationship fundraising team.
There is now an opportunity for a community fundraising executive to join the London, South and Wales team.
In this busy and exciting supporter-facing role, you’ll provide stewardship to our brilliant fundraisers, organising events from bake sales and balls to tractor runs and sponsored walks. And, alongside the other community fundraiser executives, you’ll be the first point of contact for supporters, playing a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the programme.
Through excellent relationship management, you’ll inspire our supporters to see through their fundraising plans, raise as much as possible and continue to support the charity in a way that’s right for them.
Reporting into an experienced community fundraiser, you’ll be nurtured and developed in your role. And have the opportunity to develop relationships with a wide variety of supporters, from individuals and volunteers to clubs, societies, groups and local companies.
About you
You’re a brilliant communicator, love working with others, thrive in a busy environment and have a ‘can do’ attitude to your work.
Having worked in a customer or supporter facing role before, you’re naturally committed to providing exceptional stewardship. Engaging with our supporters will energise you, whether that’s speaking to them over the phone, hosting a cheque presentation or attending an event.
You’re organised and can prioritise your work well. You can also quickly pick up processes and have excellent administrative skills, all experience you’ve gained in a professional working environment.
It’s great if you’ve worked in a charity before, and community fundraising experience is a bonus. But it’s your passion for fundraising and making a difference that’s important – if this sounds like you, we can’t wait to hear from you.

We are looking for an Adult Carer Wellbeing Navigator, employed by Sutton Carers Centre and based within the Wellbeing Team at Sutton Talking Therapies as well as our Centre. In this role, you will provide both practical and emotional support to Carers - helping them to set goals, develop effective coping strategies, and strengthen their confidence by accessing appropriate therapeutic interventions.
You will bring experience of working with people facing difficulties around their mental health, offering person-centred support designed to improve their overall health and wellbeing. You also will have knowledge of the wider issues that may affect mental health, including the particular challenges and rewards of caring for others.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-partner environment are essential. Flexibility is also key - you’ll need to respond to the varying needs of Carers and the organisation, including occasional work outside standard office hours.
