About this Role
The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing and promoting IAPO's mission and initiatives through effective marketing and communication strategies. The Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering advocacy campaigns and engagement activities, creating compelling content, managing social media channels, and amplifying IAPO's online presence and visibility within the global health community. The role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for non-profit work. The post holder will report to IAPO's Chief Executive Officer and work closely with all staff members.
The post holder must be prepared to work collaboratively in a relatively small team. They should be prepared to contribute to the friendly, positive and mutually supportive atmosphere that has been developed at IAPO. The post holder is expected to model IAPO’s values and to take an empowering approach to their work with IAPO’s members, within the staff team, and with other stakeholders.
It is essential that the post holder has experience in a related role such as communications officer, or other relevant position, for at least 3 years.
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey has been established for over 100 years. We enable and empower people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind to overcome barriers and to be as independent as possible.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Children and Young People’s Service. The team enables and empowers children, young people and families to thrive, by providing a variety of vibrant and impactful services, activities and events.
This role would suit someone who enjoys and is skilled at supporting families to overcome barriers they face as a result of having a disabled child, including providing one to one support, practical assistance, and group workshops. Candidates should have experience of working with children, young people and families in a support role.
Key responsibilities
· Ensure parent carers have someone to work alongside them to help to overcome barriers they are facing as a family as a result of their child/’s sensory impairment.
· Provide practical assistance (such as letter writing and attending meetings with a parent carer) where this is needed. This will include assisting with the Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP) to ensure it accurately reflects their needs.
· To assess and identify when the needs of the children and their families are not being met and work with parents, other professionals, and organisations as appropriate to address the issues with the aim of ensuring that the children have the opportunities and environments that will enable them to reach their potential and achieve their aspirations.
· Reduce loneliness and social isolation for parent carers by both connecting them with wider parent carer support services, and by organising and facilitating opportunities for them to come together, such as through drop-in events at community café’s and parent led support groups.
· Empower and enable parent carers to have the knowledge, skills, confidence, and support they need to advocate for their child/children through organising group training workshops and development around specific topics, creating and sharing resources that will help, and through our Power to The Parents event.
· To support children and young people through transition from children’s services into adult services, engaging with SEND services and adult services where appropriate.
· To follow all policies, including those focused on confidentiality, equality, and diversity.
· Keep accurate and up to date records of work completed and support provided.
· Create, share and store two anonymised case studies each month which demonstrate the barriers faced by families, and the impact of the service.
· To attend weekend and school holiday activities and events to meet and support the children, young people, and their families at a time that works for them.
· Ensure the family support service is needs led and inclusive for all.
· Offers first line emotional support to parents and young people as they come to terms with their vision impairment/ multi-sensory impairment as appropriate and make onward referrals where appropriate for more robust assistance, such as through our counselling service.

· To keep up to date with current legislation, local and national policies, research and services and to share these appropriately.

The Team Administrator for the British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM), is a varied and vital role in which you will provide administrative support for the Association’s activities, such as supporting the working and steering groups, minute taking, managing the application process, adding events to our website and sending email newsletters.
As Team Administrator for the BAPM, you will manage the administration for the BAPM endorsement process and run the administration for the student essay competition and the BAPM Awards.
Reporting to the BAPM Chief Executive, you will work as part of a team of five staff members, therefore flexibility of duties and roles will be required. As a crucial member of a small team, it is essential for you to develop and maintain an understanding of perinatal issues in order to appreciate the wider impact of BAPM’s work. Ideally the role is for 35 hours per week but 28 hours per week can be offered for the right candidate.
Educated to a good standard, you should have substantial experience of providing administrative support to a busy team and be capable of prioritising competing demands and delivering to deadlines. With experience of organising online meetings and taking notes, ideally you will have a background in using online forms to collect and present data and be adept at managing a shared email inbox, running webinars and updating websites using a content management system.
An excellent team player with outstanding organisational, communication and customer service skills, you should be self-motivated and have the ability to act in a professional manner and manage sensitive and confidential information.
The ability to undertake occasional travel for BAPM meetings and conferences would be desirable.

The project:
We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.
This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.
In short you will:
- Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach
- Ensure the client waiting area is kept tidy with up-to-date information/leaflets and supplies of refreshments
- Facilitate direct group delivery and events at the Women’s Centre and regional venues
- Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region
- Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region
- Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria
- Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events
- Manage administration for the Hampshire Minerva team
- Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

Support Line Officer

The Support Line Officer will support the delivery of the organisation’s Support Line service, responding to enquiries from service users, organisations and health care professionals across a range of topics related to spinal cord injury, and contributing to the provision of written information, including factsheets and articles for SIA’s bi-monthly magazine and website. They will signpost to, and work closely with, other relevant services within the organisation and external partners.
Some key duties will include:
- Responding to all enquiries to the Support Line service in a prompt and efficient manner, and within the remit of its policies, procedures and practices.
- Providing information, support and advice to all service users using a range of recourses to find, interpret and communication the relevant information, liaising with appropriate outside agencies as and when necessary, in order to further research enquiries.
- Researching and exploring options and implications so that service users can make informed decisions.
- Supporting the Frank Williams Academy with the updating and development of new factsheets.
- Supporting the work of the Advocacy service, providing first line support for NHS CHC cases and referring to the service for more in-depth support.
- Supporting the work of the Support Network team, arranging appointments and referring callers when appropriate.

The Assessment and Data Administrator role is responsible for assisting with online assessment systems to ensure that full compliance of awarding organisations requirements are adhered to. Teaching Resources at Unifrog
One of the most important parts of Unifrog is a searchable library of hundreds of teaching resources, covering careers guidance, progression, SEL, and PSHE.
Each week the lessons are used by tens of thousands of teachers in the UK and around the world.

Recovery Support Team Leader Location: London Salary: £30,082 per annum, plus benefits Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time We are recruiting for a Recovery Support Team Leader. The Recovery Support service is available to current or former Forward Trust clients who are on a substance misuse recovery pathway, making good progress within the Forward Trust towards their personal goals, and coming to the end of their current treatment pathway. While Recovery Support is not exclusively for clients who are abstinent, clients will need to be in control of their drink and/ or drug use, and not be chaotic in their using i.e. heavy drinking, antisocial behaviour, daily/binge using of either drugs or alcohol (especially main substance/s of choice). Forward Connect is a peer-led mutual aid community of like-minded people who are making good progress in their own journey – this could be people in addiction recovery, moving away from crime, overcoming mental health problems, or who are coming out of a period of unemployment or homelessness. Roles Responsibilities The Team Leader will be based within the central Recovery Support team. The Team Leader will be responsible for co-ordinating all recovery support functions across Forward Trust’s substance misuse services into a coherent and effective service that offers inspiration and a structured pathway to recovery for service users, as well as supporting to develop our peer led network called Forward Connect. The Team leader will also support with the delivery of the peer mentoring strategy in their allocated geographical areas. The aim of the role is to have a robust recovery support service integrated into all services, promoting and modelling the organisations values and ethos, supporting service users to further develop their recovery and lives, whilst bringing visible lived experience to all including staff via a range of recovery support interventions. The role is Hybrid. There is no set base but travelling is needed to Islington (London) as will require regular weekly visits to the 3 better lives buildings and occasional cover of weekend shifts in this area. You will also need to travel to units within their geographical areas which does include prisons and community projects. Some travel may be covered by the Forward Trust depending on your base, but ideally you should be based within 20 miles of Islington. The Team Leader will be responsible for co-ordinating all recovery support functions across Forward Trust’s substance misuse services into a coherent and effective service that offers inspiration and a structured pathway to recovery for service users, as well as supporting to develop our peer led network called Forward Connect. Our client is looking to appoint a Corporate Partnerships Officer who will help bring companies into long term relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual who wants to demonstrate how building relationships with the corporate sector can deliver results, improve patient care, and reduce illness. You’ll be trusted to work autonomously to develop and implement your own ideas on engaging your portfolio of partners and delivering events. You’ll report to and work closely with the Deputy Director of Development.

Managing your own individual portfolio of existing and prospective corporate partners

Stewarding your portfolio through organising 1-1 meetings and cultivation events

Developing high-quality funding proposals with the support of relevant project teams

Identifying new opportunities to secure corporate support through research and networking

Undertaking due diligence on prospective corporate supporters and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and legislation including the ABPI Code of Practice

Supporting the delivery of the corporate partnership programme of activities

Ensuring corporate partners are thanked/recognised in an appropriate and timely manner

Ensuring that database records for corporate supporters and prospects are up-to-date, accurate and adhere to data protection law and best practice

Educated to degree level

Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills
