Community Fundraising Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented fundraising team

We are looking for an experienced Community Fundraising Manager to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will be responsible for driving our strategy for Community Fundraising, Individual/Regular Giving and Events. With a database of around 100,000 registrants and 15,000 members, these existing income streams have lots of great potential. We have amazing fundraisers in our community who take on challenges like the London Marathon, London to Brighton bike ride, or their own swimming challenge and there’s lots of great potential amongst our supporters, including our committed members and regular givers.

Contract:  Permanent
Hours:  30 hours per week (negotiable for the right candidate)
Flexibility: We are a flexible employer and most of our staff are juggling things (including caring for multiples!) We are great at making jobs work around life.
Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 (pro rata)
Reports to: Head of Development 
Work location: Hybrid/remote. Office space in London Bridge, although entirely remote option is fine. Travel to events will also be required.

Purpose of the role

• Grow a successful existing income stream (Fundraising Events and Regular Giving) and develop and grow a comparatively new income stream (Community Fundraising and Individual Giving) for Twins Trust. You will do this alongside other fundraisers in the team and with support from a Fundraising Officer.
• Lead and develop a multi-year strategy for growing our Community and Events programmes, with a well-planned calendar of events throughout the year covering different themes and geographies.
• Lead the strategy for our Individual/Regular Giving programme
• Lead on the creation, planning and delivery of a new Twins Trust owned mass participation fundraising event
• Provide strategic support and guidance to our Fundraising Officer to implement the annual raffle, ongoing Lottery programme and Individual Giving programme.
• Work closely with other teams across Fundraising, Membership and Communications to spot opportunities to maximise income and drive new projects forward
• Provide exceptional relationship management and stewardship to fundraisers in our community to make them feel appreciated, maximise income raised and encourage repeat fundraising

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a strategy for Community They will be able to demonstrate how they have delivered one or more of these income streams and grown these programmes significantly, providing excellent stewardship to fundraisers.

• Significant experience of leading a 6 figure multi-year community fundraising strategy including forecasting and monitoring income and expenditure
• Experience of leading community, events, or Individual/Regular Giving fundraising - taking ownership and achieving growth in scale and income
• Experience of creating and delivering a new medium to large scale (£25k plus) fundraising event, maximising all commercial opportunities within it
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to manage several projects at the same time
• Experience working in a CRM and analysing data to inform decision-making (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus)

About this job

We’re looking for someone who wants to join our busy charity to make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives. With experience in bookkeeping and financial administration, you will love numbers (and spreadsheets), have great attention to detail and be an excellent communicator.  Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for the administration of the Charity’s finances, including lots of different projects, accounts and a wide variety of transactions. Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting military children and young people (0 to 25 years) who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 700 young people, and we have big ambitions to support over 1,000 children annually by 2030.

Scotty’s is seeking an experienced bereavement counsellor to join our small but effective team. The role involves supporting children and young people affected by bereavement, which may include death in service, illness, or suicide.

We want every bereaved military child and young person to have:

• Access to the very best emotional health and wellbeing support.

· The SUPPORT Programme provides the very best emotional health and wellbeing support to children who are struggling to cope following a bereavement. 

Our Bereavement Counsellor will be a valuable member of the SUPPORT Programme, delivering online 1:1 and group support to those who need it most.  But all three programmes work closely together (we call this the Families team).

Role Mission:

The Scotty’s Bereavement Counsellor will work with our families who are struggling with their grief to help them understand their feelings, develop coping skills and build their new life.

This role will be accountable for:

Providing emotional support, counselling and therapeutic interventions to individuals and families coping with grief and loss. The role involves working compassionately and ethically with families affected by bereavement, helping them process their emotions and find ways to adjust to life after a loss.

The Bereavement Counsellor will work collaboratively with the SUPPORT team and the wider Families team to ensure that all work undertaken by Scotty’s is delivered in a supportive and sensitive manner and that Scotty families receive exemplary care.

What are the 3-month goals for this role:

· Within three months the Counsellor will have developed their knowledge of the range of services that Scotty’s offers to our families so that they can advise and support families in their case load.

· Will have begun to learn and understand the Scotty Values and the Scotty Way (we do things a little differently and our culture is very important to us and our families!).

· Would have begun supporting the families assigned to their caseload by the Head of SUPPORT.  This will predominantly if not entirely be online 1:1 delivery.

· Will have completed all necessary safeguarding training and be part of the Scotty’s Safeguarding team.

· Begun attending peer supervision sessions with the SUPPORT team.

What are the 6-month goals for this role:

· Will have established a caseload as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT which is likely to include 1:1 online sessions, and may also include online group sessions, drop ins or workshops.

· Will have begun to support the wider Families team by attending Scotty events.  At Scotty events, a SUPPORT team member often attends to provide support to any families in distress (this may require occasional weekend or evening work).

· Will be working cohesively with the Families team and the wider Scotty team to share your knowledge and skills.  Scotty’s values a culture of learning and strives to ensure team members can learn from one another’s expertise.

· Will be contributing to peer supervision sessions to ensure all SUPPORT team members are able to give the best support to families.

· Regularly meeting with your selected external supervisor.

What are the 9-month goals for this role:

· Will be supporting a caseload as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT, with emerging impact data showing the success of your support.  Scotty’s uses the Child Bereavement Service Questionnaire (CBSQ) developed by the CBN to monitor the impact of 1:1 support and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) for pre-bereavement support.

· Will be a valuable member of the SUPPORT programme, Families and wider Scotty team. Providing first rate bereavement counselling and support directly to families but also indirectly helping families by working collaboratively with other team members.

What are the key responsibilities of this role:

· Managing a caseload and delivering one to one counselling sessions as assigned by the Head of SUPPORT. This will predominantly be online delivery using Teams video calling but also other formats as needed by families.

· Facilitate group therapy or support groups when appropriate.

· Conduct initial assessment to determine clients’ needs and suitability for counselling.

· Maintaining accurate and confidential case notes in a timely fashion using our Salesforce based system in accordance with data protection and organisational policies.

· Adhering to all safeguarding requirements and operating as part of the Scotty Safeguarding team to maintain the highest standards across the charity.

· Supporting the development of resources and materials as needed.

· Working collaboratively within the SUPPORT team, including peer supervision.

· Working collaboratively and effectively within the Families team to ensure that families are directed to the appropriate services in a timely fashion.  This could include directing families you are working with towards our educational grants, our respite breaks, our events, our school support or our advocacy.

· Liaise with healthcare and mental health professionals such as GPs, CAMHS and social workers or other professionals where appropriate to ensure holistic care and management of risk.

· Attending at least six (mandatory) face to face team days, normally located in the East of England.

· Participate in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.

Skillset and Experiences Required:

Essential

· Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).  We may consider applications from practitioners with HCPC or NCS membership too.

· Level 4 Counselling / Psychotherapy Diploma or above.

· Significant experience (post qualification) providing bereavement counselling, to children or young people (0-25yrs).

· Experience and training with NICE-approved talking therapies.

· Demonstrated knowledge of issues surrounding bereavement.

· Ability to manage caseload effectively.

· Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate children’s needs (this may include evening work to avoid school hours at times).

· Excellent computer literacy.

· Ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with families.

· Ability to engage with peer supervision and Scotty’s funded external supervision effectively.

· Ability to engage with a culture of continuous learning and support the learning of others.

· Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and independently to meet the needs of the service.

· Commitment to professional standards and ethical practice.

· Accredited member of BACP.

· Knowledge or experience of or with the military community.

Fundraising lead (fixed term 12-month contract, 0.4 FTE i.e. 14 hours a week)

JustMoney Movement is seeking a part-time Fundraising lead to help us grow a more sustainable funding base. The role will work with senior staff to develop our strategic case for support to target small organisational/ institutional donors (£1-5k grants/ donations).

We are a Christian charity using education and advocacy to work towards our vision of a fairer, greener future, through the transformation of our financial system and wider economy. We want to grow and diversify our funding base, reducing our dependence on a small number of grants, and building a movement of allies who feel part of the community and are willing to financially support it.

The Fundraising lead will work with senior staff to develop a case for support for our overall strategy and use this to target small organisational/ institutional donors including small trusts; corporates and organisations; and churches. 

Role description

· Grade 3.1 expected FTE salary £35,700 pro-rated to 0.4 FTE/ 14 hours a week = £14,280 (subject to annual inflationary pay review).

· Fixed term 12-month contract. This post has funding for 1 year.  If successful, there could be scope to extend the role for longer.

About the role

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

The West Midlands and North Wales regions are areas filled with some of our most committed supporters, but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Birmingham hospitals and out in the community in North Wales, so building relationships with these teams are a must.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• To plan, monitor and report on your budgeted income with a constant eye on contingency planning to ensure annual targets are achieved;
• To steward our most committed supporters and deliver legendary supporter experience;
• To be a key, valued member of your regional team and UK wide team;
• To identify, cultivate and secure partnerships and donations within your area;
• To work with your local service team/s to build and maintain strong and effective working relationships;
• To be the first point of contact for service user families, to offer opportunities to them and their networks to engage with the wider charity as they would like I.e. fundraising, volunteering, sharing their story

What do I need? 

• A proven track record of delivering amazing customer experiences
• Experience of relationship management in either a charity or corporate setting
• Ability to work within a financial target-based setting, and experience of reaching/exceeding set targets
• Demonstrable experience of winning new business
• Experience of managing own workload
• Proven ability to manage/complete projects
• Able to ‘make the ask’ for support and to influence/negotiate
• Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car (including business insurance)
• Have a sufficient Broadband connection

As our Marketing and Communications Manager (Maternity Cover), you will:

• work collaboratively with Fundraising colleagues, deliver results-driven marketing campaigns and communications support to grow both our audience of supporters and our income
• be part of a team that plans and delivers strategic campaigns that improve the system for seriously ill children and their families
• maximise our brand awareness and reputation among our audiences through our external communications
• stay abreast of print, broadcast and digital media to identify potential opportunities and threats to our ability to deliver our strategic plan
• lead on proactive and reactive media relations including writing press releases and statements, arranging interviews and responding to enquiries
• line-manage our Creative Content Lead.

You will have:

• outstanding storytelling skills which have helped to generate income for an organisation or for a cause, across a range of channels
• experience across a broad range of communications and marketing functions
• excellent interpersonal skills – and experience of engaging sensitively and effectively with a wide range of external stakeholders

Lead Impactful Change as Head of Fundraising & Communications – 224 Youth Zone, South Bristol

You'll lead our fundraising and communications strategy, manage and grow a high-performing team, and build lasting relationships with major donors and local businesses through our Founder Patron campaign. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Generate the requisite income (c£1.4m pa) to ensure the Youth Zone operates as per the OnSide DNA.

•  Lead an effective stewardship programme to ensure the Founder Patrons, and any donors, thereafter, are retained and uplift their giving.

•  Build and lead a team of fundraisers who each have personal income targets and a clear but small set of Key Performance Indicators that guide their work.

•  Be personally responsible for a small but high level portfolio of prospects to drive a personal annual income target, c15-20 annually.
