We are looking for a Head of Safeguarding to join our team. You will be responsible for the strategic leadership of safeguarding for the organisation. You will work closely with the Safeguarding Manager to manage safeguarding concerns across the IntoUniversity network and provide crucial safeguarding support and guidance to frontline staff who deliver the IntoUniversity programmes. You will be responsible for developing our policies and practices to ensure we comply with our legal duties and operate in line with best practice. You will work closely with the Director of Programme Delivery and Operations to ensure our operational health and safety practices and policies are designed to keep young people safe and you will oversee our Boarding School Bursary Manager who leads on our partnership with Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation.

About the role

This role is part of Shelter’s in-house development team, reporting to the Lead Developer, and working closely with all product teams in the Central Digital team.

As Principal Front-end Developer, you’ll work in a product team and be responsible for the overall vision and development of the front-end technology stack with a strong focus on the technical design and implementation of Shelters design system.

You will also support the development of products to help Shelter to provide faster, more efficient, and effective services to clients and supporters.

Our tech stack consists of Contentful, Netlify, Gatsby Js, Storybook, CircleCI and Nx.

You’ll head up the front-end development team, mentoring senior developers, supporting them and their reports (a total of 6 in your team) in their day-to-day work.

In this role, you will support the Lead Developer in managing the front-end team, promoting a culture of ownership, responsibility, and innovation. You will take the lead in designing and delivering Shelter’s design system, pattern library, and build tools, while continuously exploring emerging front-end technologies to enhance our digital products and user experience. Working closely with UX, product, and content teams, you will drive strategically important projects from development through to evidence-based improvements after launch. You will champion accessibility, web performance, and modern development standards across the organisation.

You will also play a key role in improving front-end team processes, ensuring high-quality, performant, and accessible code aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This includes mentoring the team through regular code reviews, setting development goals, and fostering collaboration within Agile teams. The is a critical role in the organisation to ensure that philanthropic income is implemented in line with donor expectations and ensuring any obligations are stipulated in gift and grant agreements. The Philanthropy Implementation Manager will play an active role in developing and delivering gift implementation improvement projects, acting as a pivotal person between fundraising and finance teams across the organisation. • Work with key internal stakeholders to ensure the funding is used correctly and pledge payments are fulfilled.
• Design complex gift implementation strategies.

Scope of role

The Administration Coordinator provides crucial support to the Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space (MHCBS) team by managing administrative processes efficiently. The role focuses on handling key back-office tasks that enable the team to deliver timely and accurate support to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Coordinate team inboxes and triage emails to appropriate team members or stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate responses within SLAs – handling routine enquiries as standard and more complex enquiries as directed.
• Coordinate team tasks in AdvicePro, resolving issues, issuing or preparing correspondence, and highlighting urgent or non-standard cases for direction and resolution.
• Ensure CRM is maintained with accurate client and case information, running reports for management to review cases, prepare MI returns and support invoicing routines.
• Resolve or triage enquiries via the Insolvency Service portal, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Process incoming MHCBS applications and handle scheme closures using standard operating procedures, escalating non-standard issues or cases for direction and resolving issues.

The Research Initiatives Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will work closely with senior clinicians to lead a series of projects and activities to feed into the development and delivery of child-health research initiatives. The initiatives include research awards, research events and research capacity and capability building, by embedding academic skills into the paediatric workforce and enabling academic research.

As Research Initiatives Manager, you will also lead on the RCPCH Genomics Programme which aims to develop and deliver a series of resources and activities related to supporting the preparedness of our membership for the era of genomics medicine.

Based within the Research and Evidence team, you will be the operational lead for relevant Committees and working groups, acting as a representative of the College to represent the views of paediatricians, whilst ensuring timely reporting of progress to Project Boards.

With a degree or equivalent experience with a research, health science, life sciences or genetics/genomics component, you should have a proven understanding of the national funding landscape and infrastructure for clinical research.

Job Purpose

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the effective delivery of the Creating Community Connections Pilot, ensuring the successful delivery of the pilot project, balancing the demands of supporting the various partnerships between funders, providers, and stakeholders to collectively deliver the required impact and ensure contract compliance.

Creating Community Connections is a three-year Domestic Abuse (DA) pilot Project, funded by HMPPS. The project is led by a partnership of women’s centre providers - Women in Prison, Anawim, Together Women, and Nelson Trust and aims to connect women in prisons with vital specialist community support services across the country, especially women's centres and organisations providing support around DA. By connecting prisons and women in custody to a network of local women’s services, we hope to aid resettlement and support engagement with holistic support to meet women’s needs, address root causes of offending, improve outcomes on release and intercept cycles of trauma, disadvantage, and abuse, with a particular focus on DA services. The project will ultimately support women who have experienced domestic abuse and work with them so that their experiences do not negatively influence their opportunity of successful resettlement back into the community.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. To lead and take accountability for the delivery of the Creating Community Connections (CCC) project.
2. To actively engage with funders, stakeholders, delivery partners and the internal team(s), to build a solid understanding of the CCC Project.
3. Provide effective leadership to direct reports, fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
4. To have oversight on a cross-organisational basis of leading practice in project management methodologies, tools and techniques advising teams and colleagues on suitable approaches to ensure the effective delivery of a range of diverse projects and programmes.

Job Purpose:

To provide operational management of the Substance Misuse Through-the-Gate (SMTTG) programme, which supports Lambeth and Southwark women in custody and their transition back into the community. The Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the service is delivered to a high standard by line managing staff, developing strong partnerships with prisons and recovery services, and fostering a culture of quality, learning, and accountability.

The post holder will also hold a caseload, working directly with women in custody to support them into community services. They will provide robust Through-the-Gate (TTG) support on release and continue to work with women in the community for up to six months to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable recovery.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Lead the operational management of the Substance Misuse TTG programme, ensuring high-quality, trauma-responsive support for women impacted by the criminal justice system
2. Manage and develop staff to foster a strong, inclusive, and reflective team culture
3. Deliver direct support to women, ensuring a trauma-informed and person-centred approach
4. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders in prisons and the community to strengthen partnerships and share expertise

About Katherine Low Settlement   

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.   

We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people. 

We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Role Purpose 

Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Drafting and submitting funding bids up to c£10k grant value 

• Reporting to funders and supporting relationships with funders and partners

• Researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

• Managing bid writing process, including gathering input from colleagues 

• Briefing programme colleagues on project monitoring required to produce funding reports, including case studies 

• Working with CEO to ensure monitoring takes place throughout project delivery and within reporting timelines for multiple projects and funders 

• Ensuring project reports are completed and submitted to funders on time 

• Maintaining administrative procedures effectively to support and monitor our fundraising activities. This includes keeping donor records and our database (Salesforce) up to date, ensuring income is recorded accurately and the pipeline is updated, mailing documents and thanking donors 

• Comply with Data Protection law (GDPR) and the Fundraising Regulator code of fundraising practice 

Skills and Experience 

• Track record of fundraising from trusts and foundations for project, core, and multiyear funding 

• Working with colleagues to complete funding bids and collect information for reporting requirements 

• Proven effective lead generation skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to plan and prioritise to meet deadlines 

• Excellent report writing for funders and proofreading skills 

• Proven effective CRM database use such as the ability to maintain accurate record and income forecasting

About the role

As a Finance Business Partner, you will have responsibility for the leading the annual budget setting process for the organisation – circa. £8m.

You'll report to to the CEO, Executive Team (ET), and with the Finance and Commercial Director (FCD) support the preparation of papers for the Board on the numbers, with narrative, detail and analysis where appropriate.

The role will not line manage but will be expected to coach, mentor, collaborate with and contribute to the development of the other members of the finance team - we are, all of us, internal customer facing.

As Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for supporting budget holders to produce robust forecasts for the Management Accounts and to produce monthly Management Accounts with the Finance Manager.

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead in delivering our DIY and open challenge events portfolio through impactful acquisition campaigns and outstanding supporter experiences.

As part of the Mass Participation team, you’ll be responsible for developing the overall strategy for both the DIY and open challenge events programmes. A key part of the role is identifying and maximising opportunities for growth, ensuring the programme remains innovative and responsive to market trends. This will involve researching new opportunities, monitoring developments across the sector and continuously improving ways of working.

You will be responsible for setting the annual budget for both programmes, working closely with colleagues across Fundraising and Engagement to drive income, encourage collaboration and generate strong engagement with the events on offer. A close working relationship with the Challenge Events Manager (Third Party) will ensure a joined-up approach to the overall Challenge Events programme, with shared learning and consistent delivery across all areas.

This role includes line management of the Challenge Events Executive who leads on DIY and open challenges and the two Challenge Events Assistants who support the whole Challenge Events programme.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in successfully delivering DIY and open challenge events, including participant recruitment, supporter journey development and stewardship communications to achieve income targets. You’ll have a strong background in leading projects, with the ability to guide and support team members to meet their objectives. Summary

The Human Resources department provides a strategic and operational HR service to the seven National Church Institutions (NCIs) and the 42 Diocesan Bishops' offices. Our HR Operations team focusses on the entire employee lifecycle providing support, advice and guidance to senior leaders, line managers and staff. The Organisational Development team lead on culture, values, wellbeing, development and our belonging & inclusion strategy. Through our External Service team, we also offer HR support on a consultancy basis to other Church of England organisations including our dioceses and cathedrals.

The NCIs comprises a wide variety of functions and professions to support the mission and ministries of the Church by working with those who serve in parishes, dioceses, schools and other ministries, and with partners at a national and international level.

• Reviewing risk assessments that have been completed by staff and line managers, requesting additional information, and advising on risk mitigation;
• Supporting requests for adjustments and additional equipment may be required, including requests for Access to Work funding, liaising with Facilities and Technology Services as required;
• Supporting the Head of Health & Safety in reviewing accidents and incidents that occur across NCI sites or involve colleagues in the course of their work;
• Advising staff travelling overseas on potential risks;
• Managing the lone worker safety devices used by the NCIs;
• Administering our Health Cash Plan scheme;
• Day to day administration of our Health & Safety reporting system;
• Assisting in the preparation of Health & Safety reports e.g., the Joint Staff Council and Health and Safety forum.

As an adviser within the HR Operations team, you will also get involved in responding to other types of HR queries via email, phone and Teams chat, and supporting colleagues in using our Oracle Employee and Manager self-service.

Key role requirements:

• This is a hybrid working role which can be based in our offices in either York or London.
• The HR Operations Team typically works from the London office 1-2 days per week depending on business need. Travel to other sites may also be required from time to time.
• Visits to other NCI work locations may also be required from time to time.

You'll need previous experience of advising on and reviewing health and safety risks, including Display Screen Equipment, lone working and overseas travel with, or working towards, a recognised Health & Safety certificate (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent).

We're looking for someone who has:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with accuracy and attention to detail including with numerical data. You will need to be able to communicate clearly to stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
• An enthusiastic and highly organised approach to work, with the ability to understand and process high volumes of information. You will need to be able to work comfortably with competing priorities and show flexibility in your approach to customers to understand differing expectations.

An interest in and willingness to learn broader HR policies and processes. Experience in HR in addition to Health & Safety would be an advantage.
