About Allsorts

Allsorts' mission is to listen to, connect, and support children and young people under the age of 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans (LGBT+), or exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. 

By placing young people’s voices at the centre of our work and consultations, we ensure that our understanding of their ongoing and evolving needs continues to inform our service provision.

There are three main strands to our service provision, all of which approach things from slightly different angles, but are all in service of improving the lives of LGBT+ children and young people.

Youth Service

We offer youth groups, one-to-one support, activities, residentials, in-school support, and much more for children and young people.

Parents & Carers Service.

We offer groups, one-to-one support, activities, information sessions, and much more for parents & carers of LGBT+ children and young people

Training Service

We provide LGBT+ Inclusion Training for a wide range of organisations, mainly to those working with children and young people, to help build people’s knowledge of LGBT+ issues and their confidence in being LGBT+ allies.
 

The role involves facilitating the effective establishment and development of these groups by providing appropriate training, resources and advice. The post-holder will work closely with student leaders, members, and relevant stakeholders to support personal development and ensure a positive student group experience.

• Develop and implement systems that support the establishment, development, and sustainability of student-led societies, groups and networks at CSU.
• Work closely with society committees and student groups to identify their needs and coordinate appropriate training and support to enhance their skills, knowledge, and member engagement.
• Support student-led societies and groups in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of events and activities.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the university and within the local community.

Home-Start London is seeking a dynamic and driven Partnerships & Projects Coordinator to play a pivotal role in growing our impact across the capital. We’re recruiting for a Communications Manager, England, to play a vital role in helping us to build community cohesion, strengthen society, and improve lives – as we deliver on our strategy, It Starts With Community.This role is an 18 month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. 

The position is part of an exciting and sophisticated programme aimed at tackling social issues. Through this initiative, we work closely with government to distribute money from long since unused bank and building society accounts (‘dormant assets’) for the benefit of the community. 

The job will focus on two multi-million-pound funding schemes that The National Lottery Community Fund will deliver. These are:

•  The Community Wealth Fund (a pot of money given to local communities to spend on what they decide will improve where they live); and 
• The Youth Enrichment Fund (aimed at increasing disadvantaged young people’s access to opportunities in the arts, culture, sports, and wider youth services, aimed at improving wellbeing and employability)

In this role, you’ll work closely with government and colleagues across the Fund to deliver integrated, multi-channel communications activities that effectively promote these programmes and showcase their impact on the communities we serve. Your work will help shape public understanding of the schemes, inspire communities to engage with them, and build trust with key stakeholders.

We are looking for a calm and organised strategic communicator and storyteller with an ability to build relationships and adapt. You’ll be experienced in developing integrated campaigns and working across teams to deliver high-impact communications. 

Key responsibilities:

•  Develop deep insight into these programmes, to enable you to implement effective communications plans for them while supporting Strategic Communications Leads to build and manage matrix teams.
•  Design, develop, and deliver messaging, narrative and content, as well as social and brand assets, working closely with colleagues in the wider team to deliver effective and impactful communications activities.
• Build positive relationships with government comms and policy counterparts as well as with teammates and colleagues across the Fund to make programme communications relevant and resonate internally and within Government departments (specifically DCMS and MHCLG) and, most importantly, the communities we serve.
• Work closely with colleagues in the media team to deliver integrated activities, monitoring media and advising on opportunities and risks. Ensure rapid response to emerging issues with processes and protocol on lines to take and spokespeople.

Person specification - essential criteria

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Support coach to join our team which focus on supporting residents with OPD (Offender Personality Disorder) and related cognitive or behavioural challenges, many of whom have experienced institutional care or social exclusion. You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, acting as a mentor and lead for the team, providing advice and guidance, as well as providing specialist expertise to the team and residents. 

You will further deliver one-to-one support with residents directly, developing personalised support plans, risk assessments, facilitating life skills sessions, and help individuals access services, resources, and opportunities within the community. Our support is tailored towards providing person centred support to empower our residents to achieve their personal goals and independent living. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, flexible, inclusive, and psychologically informed environment that promotes dignity, choice, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities further Include:

• Delivering effective 1:1 and group-based support for residents/participants in line with support plans
• Providing specialist advice and guidance to the team and residents
• Acting as the first point of contact in the absence of management
• Supporting property management tasks including reporting repairs, monitoring health & safety, and maintaining high accommodation standards
• Supporting residents to access relevant networks, training, life skills, and community resources

About You

We're looking for someone who has knowledge and understanding of Offender Personality Disorder, able to share this with others and act as a mentor to resolving complex cases. You'll bring experience within a similar environment to the role, and have experience in supporting similar residents with areas of social care, supported housing, and community support. You will have a commitment to person-centred support and have an understanding of the importance of trauma-informed care, able to lead by example.

An exceptional opportunity to work with a passionate volunteer-led organisation and help shape the future of a remarkable industrial heritage site. Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world's largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life - reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections. Three new part-time staff roles are being created to focus on volunteering, collections and managing the project.

The part-time Museum Operations and Project Manager will manage day-to-day operations and oversee delivery of the project initiatives. We will also be recruiting a Curatorial Officer (one day per week) and a Volunteer Coordinator (two days per week).

Working with a supportive team, you’ll work collaboratively across the Foundation to help us deliver on our new strategy, working on large multi-channel communications campaigns and events, commissioning and coordinating content, and delivering internal comms.

This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with the team, freelancers, charities and the people and communities they support to understand what they do. You’ll work as part of a team to deliver creative campaigns, and plan engaging content that reaches our key audiences, internally and externally.

We are currently looking for two (new) part-time Finance Manager roles, splitting the previous finance manager role and following the implementation of new accounting software – with one role focussing on general finance processes and systems, and one role focussing on relationships with budget holders, reporting and forecasting.

The Sutton Trust is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the team and provide crucial support on a range of key finance functions. Senior Finance Manager

The Senior Finance Manager will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. The Finance & Operations team play a critical role by running the day-to-day operations and providing the infrastructure that enables the continued delivery of the Trust’s mission and objectives.

Main duties

• Overseeing the Finance Officer’s work including sales ledger, purchase ledger and general processes and ensuring transactions are posted accurately and timely as well as supporting reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  Other duties as necessary from time to time 
• Overseeing month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and preparing trial balances and journal postings.
• Preparing year-end schedules and statutory accounts, working closely with the Director of Finance & Operations and external auditors. Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit process.
• Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance (e.g. Companies House, Charity Commission)
• Managing the finance system, including data integrity, user access and system upgrades. Supporting finance-related integrations with other systems, and ongoing system improvements/ automation.
• Supporting the Director of Finance & Operations to ensure there is an effective system of financial controls, e.g. feeding into policies, procedures and team-wide training, as required
• Line managing, motivating and proactively supporting the Finance Officer in their professional development
• Proactively updating your own knowledge in relation to the role, identifying and undertaking appropriate training
• Keeping up to date with legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the role and the Trust’s work

Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. Main duties

• Building and maintaining relationships with budget holders and members of senior leadership to help them understand budgets and financial statements and support them with their day-to-day budget management and finance needs (incl. on the new finance system, XLedger)

• Preparing quarterly management accounts, and other financial modelling as required
• Cash management and cashflow forecasting; monitoring and reporting on the Trust’s investment portfolios
• Supporting the Director of Finance & Operations with annual budget setting and leading on quarterly reforecasting cycles
• Supporting the Development Team with funding applications, and grant / funder reporting
• Ensuring compliance with funder restrictions and requirements
• With support from the Finance Officer, managing the payroll and benefits administration (note, payroll is outsourced)
• Supporting the Director of Finance & Operations to ensure there is an effective system of financial controls, e.g. feeding into policies, procedures and team-wide training, as required
• Proactively updating your own knowledge in relation to the role, identifying and undertaking appropriate training
• Keeping up to date with legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the role and the Trust’s work 
• Other duties as necessary from time to time

You’ll be the first point of contact for our bronze level supporters, providing warm, responsive and inspiring stewardship that helps them maximise their fundraising efforts and feel truly valued

As the Community Fundraising Assistant, you will oversee a growing caseload of supporters, combining automated supporter journeys with personalised touchpoints to deliver an outstanding experience. To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in building positive relationships in a fundraising or customer facing setting, with an understanding of utilising databases effectively. You will have strong attention to detail and demonstrate proficient IT literacy including Office 365 applications.

Reporting into the Head of Major Gifts, you will be responsible for leading on grant applications from trusts and other grant giving organisations. The grants will often be in the five to six figure range, and will be for a wide variety of activities, including bursaries, the Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, local and national learning and participation projects, and more. You will also be building on existing relationships with grant-giving organisations and help plan fundraising with the Head of Major Gifts and the Director of Fundraising and Development.

As a Trusts and Grants Manager you will:

• have experience in trusts and grants fundraising
