Supporting parents beyond the school gate
In recent years, families have faced a series of compounding challenges: the cost-of-living crisis, rising child poverty, and deepening educational inequality. These pressures have left many parents struggling to meet basic needs—let alone feel confident engaging in their child’s learning journey. Parentkind has responded to this moment with compassion, agility and purpose, through a series of transformative campaigns, resources, and partnerships.
Our No Cold Child initiative with FatFace stepped in to address a stark statistic: over 150,000 children in the UK do not own a winter coat due to poverty. Through our trusted relationships with schools we distributed 10,000 warm, high-quality coats worth £600,000 to the children who needed them most. Winning the Business Charity Awards ‘Fashion & Retail’ Award, and shortlisted for two further awards, the campaign has been praised not just for providing warmth, but for restoring dignity, inclusion, and school readiness to thousands of children.
The All Dressed Up campaign—developed with World Book Day and Rubies Masquerade—confronted the often-overlooked issue of financial exclusion on key celebration days. More than 100,000 free dressing up costumes worth £1.34 million were delivered to children from low-income families. By enabling participation in events like World Book Day, we helped spark imagination, joy, and belonging for children who might otherwise feel left out—boosting self-esteem and supporting a positive connection to learning.Furthermore, helping attract children into school on a day which often sees struggling parents keep their children at home.
Alongside these national campaigns, Parentkind supports families year-round through a growing suite of programmes designed to inform, prepare and empower parents. Our Be School Ready programme offers crucial guidance and confidence to parents preparing their children for the leap into primary education. With a mix of practical advice, developmental tips, and reassurance, through the distribution of 150,000 copies of Be School Ready and an online campaign, it supports families at one of the most formative moments in their child’s life.
We also deliver a wide-ranging series of live expert webinars and parent-friendly resources, covering topics such as managing anxiety, supporting special educational needs, navigating school transitions, and building home-school partnerships. These resources, developed in consultation with experts and rooted in lived parent experience, equip families to feel informed and empowered, no matter what challenges arise.
Our direct support of schools
Our collaboration with Asda on Cashpot for Schools is another example of unlocking support at scale. This innovative community-led funding model allowed shoppers to nominate and fund their local schools simply through everyday spending. This campaign has generated £5.78 million for schools during the past twelve months, supporting everything from basic classroom supplies to vital extracurricular programmes and pupil wellbeing initiatives. Also shortlisted for a Business Charity Award, it is already a model for community-driven philanthropy.
In April, we launched our Parent-Friendly Schools Accreditation Programme, designed to formally recognise schools that go above and beyond in fostering positive, inclusive relationships with parents. The accreditation celebrates schools that actively listen to parent voices, make engagement easy and accessible, and embed family partnership in their culture. It is a practical and inspiring tool to drive long-term change in the sector and offers a roadmap for schools wanting to strengthen their community.
Our focus on Policy & Research
Our work is grounded in evidence. Since 2023, we have conducted the UK’s largest annual parent survey: the National Parent Survey. With approaching 6,000 participants providing 130,000 bits of data to provide invaluable insights into the struggles, concerns, hopes and fears of parents. The findings are fed directly into government consultations and have already informed national debates on school funding, attendance, mental health support, SEND provision, and curriculum reform.
In each of the past two years the number of policymakers, educators, parents and researchers accessing the National Parent Survey exceeded seven thousand, and the survey featured in more than two hundred media outlets each year.Excitingly, the Times & Sunday Times are partnering with Parentkind to raise the profile even further in September 2025 and the survey will be launched at a lighthouse event featuring the Secretary of State for Education (Bridget Phillipson), the Ofsted Chief Inspector of Schools (Sir Martyn Oliver), the CEO of Mumsnet (Justine Roberts), the Children’s Commissioner (Dame Rachel De Souza), and our own Chief Executive (Jason Elsom).
In addition to the National Parent Survey, Parentkind undertakes representative polling of parents throughout the year on a variety of important topics, which increasingly find exposure in the media and policy discussion.
Parentkind provides the secretariat for the Westminster APPG for Parents and the Stormont APG for Parental Participation in Education. Two very successful parliamentary groups bringing together policymakers and a variety of stakeholders to consider the challenges faced by parents and act as a voice for them through a variety of policymakers.
Our Media Engagement
Since becoming recognised as the UK’s largest parent charity, with likely more groups and frontline volunteers than the Scouts or Girlguiding, Parentkind has gained increasing prominence in the media.Beyond the reach of the National Parent Survey and our regular polling, Parentkind receives frequent requests for quotes of reflection and input by media in relation to their journalism and from Government and non-Government entities in support of policy announcements.
Beyond this, the Parentkind community of volunteers and PTAs share local or regional media announcements of their own.Whether or not it celebrating the completion of large projects they have invested countless hours and thousands of pounds into realising, or the community event they have worked into the night to deliver for their school communities.
It will be your role to take this much further, gaining increasing exposure for the work of Parentkind, its community, and parents more broadly.

The role will involve:
· Promoting our parent polling data and work across social media platforms with eye catching content.
· Providing comment on topical issues for social media so that we are part of the conversation.
· Build the right relationships to dramatically increase the number of of media organisations seeking input and thought leadership from Parentkind.
· Build relationships with broadcast media so we get asked to appear on broadcast media more often. There’s a chance for you to be a talking head too.
· Help to draft parent polls and reports with a focus on compelling questions that will hit the front page. We need a brilliant writer, able to turn facts and figures into engaging narratives with bold headlines and strong messages that catch the eye. Boring writers need not apply…
· Draft eye catching press releases with bold headlines and a compelling narrative to promote the work we do across the charity. You’ll also place the press releases with national journalists leading to high profile coverage.
· Support the authoring of articles, op-eds and blog posts by members of the Executive Leadership Team.
· Be responsible for media monitoring, measuring our media hits, and reporting on coverage and interesting themes for the Executive Leadership.
Your mission is to massively increase our online, in print and social media presence to make us the highest profile parent charity in the UK. We don’t need you to be an education expert, we need someone to get us on the front page.
We have a huge amount of data on what parents think and we need you to get it seen. This is a great job for someone who wants to grab hold of a “comms” function and make it their own.

About the Program
The Europe Regional Finance program has evolved out of our Financial Regulation and Policy Program that began in 2019 with a narrow focus on European central banks. Since then, we've expanded to shape financial regulation and policy globally to accelerate clean energy and create lasting systemic change in how public finance addresses climate challenges. Now the Europe Regional Finance program will focus on EU Policy and Finance and UK Policy and Finance.
About The Role
Working closely with the Program Director, the Program Manager adapts and manages the Europe Regional Finance program to ensure the program team delivers on its objectives and goals. The role requires high-level coordination and support to a team working across Europe, leading campaign planning and evaluation processes, grant management, while coordinating the program's budgeting and re-forecasting.
The Program Manager ensures the effectiveness of the Europe Regional Finance Program by managing and coordinating its various projects, overseeing budgets and grant cycles, implementing team effectiveness initiatives, and supporting the development and execution of program planning, monitoring and evaluation processes.
We support networks of organisations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement robust planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes and foster a culture that recognises the importance of failure and learning in the pursuit of greater impact, identifying ways of measuring impact and success.
- Manage a multi-million dollar campaign budget, including tracking spending to stay on budget, reporting on our spending to donors and internal audiences, and advising on a partner grants plan and resourcing plan.
- Manage the entire program’s grant portfolio, ensuring efficient management and processing of grants to support program delivery. This includes providing guidance to team members on grant processes, tracking and monitoring grant payments, authoring and reviewing grant dockets and memos as appropriate, working with other program teams on grants as needed, and ensuring timely follow-up and feedback with partners.
- Oversee program’s contracts, including the hiring and onboarding of necessary new agency partnerships, contracts, and temp employees, and tracking and monitoring contract payments.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment that values continuous learning and professional growth to maximize program effectiveness, including proactively supporting the professional development of individual team members and line management as appropriate for the program structure.
- Lead programmatic oversight of risk, security, and compliance as appropriate for the program and in coordination with TSP’s operations team
- Co-lead on high-performance, collaborative and sustainable teamworking by fostering Sunrise’s culture and hiring, managing, and developing talented individuals.
- Lead the planning and delivery of online and in-person events (briefings, convenings, and retreats) from ideation to debrief, with responsibilities spanning logistics, agenda design, facilitation support, vendor management, RSVP oversight, in-person support, and post-event follow-up.
- Lead in developing program-specific onboarding systems and materials for new staff and contractors that build on Sunrise-wide onboarding processes.
- Represent the program as appropriate in various operational initiatives and organizational efforts.
- Proactively contribute to the culture of the wider organization, including leadership on our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required skills and experience

The AI Opportunity Fund:
The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to at least 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grants Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the operational leadership of the programme, ensuring that it is planned and executed effectively on time, on budget and within scope. A key focus of the role is ensuring that the grant-giving component of the programme is designed and stewarded diligently.
This is a middle management role that is primarily operational with some elements of strategic leadership. It requires strong project management skills, good grant-making practice and the ability to manage relationships with diverse partners. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with considerable scope and complexity; and who embraces the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment where learning, adaptability, and building the plane as we fly it are central!
Responsibilities and Competencies:
Programme Development and Delivery

Lead on shaping the design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund utilising appropriate project management frameworks.

Coordinate high quality project deliverables including implementing an AI training programme at scale and convening peer learning and knowledge sharing workshops.

We are looking for an SLC Coordinator to join us to continue to grow the scope and presence we have already established in the Yorkshire and Humberside region. About the role
The key purpose of the Coordinator role is to support the Senior Engagement Manager to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across Yorkshire and Humberside and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region. We currently have three Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to work alongside the Senior Engagement Manager and coordinate the SLCs activity, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and making sure the projects and work they are involved in, continue with success.
About you
You will have the passion and ability to use your lived experience to influence change, for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people. As an experienced Coordinator, you will engage and support Sight Loss Council members in the implementation of the region’s business plans to bring about change across transport, health and the built environment, as well as areas of local interest such as arts and culture or retail.
You will be a self-starter and work well on your own but will also enjoy being a part of a national team working across the country, with whom you can learn from, as well as share good practice with. Ideally you will need to live within the Yorkshire and Humberside region, as there will be travel within the region every week.

Purpose of the post
This role will have a particular focus on managing the HDRUK contribution to our partnership with the EPSRC Digital Health Hubs in the South West and Wales (LEAP) and the North West and North Cumbria (NortHfutures) which aim to drive innovation in digital health by promoting knowledge and skills sharing across healthcare, academia and business but there will be opportunities and a requirement to contribute to the wider training offer and strategy. Main responsibilities
You will work in close collaboration with the LEAP and NortHfutures Digital Health Hubs where you will have the opportunity to support the delivery of various Skills and Training Work Packages, and engagement in regular partnership meetings on the Training and Skills programme including Bespoke Digital Health Training, the HDR UK Black Internship Programme and Capacity Building Offers and Events.As well as, supporting securing of funding for hosts, recruitment of host organisations from amongst the Hub partnerships, delivery of funding awards for hosts, recruitment of interns for positions with hosts.
Essential Criteria:

2wish Cymru and 2wish:
2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we will expand into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Context of role:
The Therapies Assessor and Service Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. Working closely with the Immediate Support and Debrief Manager who is responsible for leading the immediate support and debrief service, you will be responsible for ensuring that our ongoing services are trauma-informed, consistent and delivered to a high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.
This role will oversee the existing ongoing support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England and will contine to grow the team as the charity expands. Services include counselling, complementary therapy, play therapy, support events, coffee mornings, wellbeing walks, online events and our beautiful respite house, Ty Uchaf. You will manage a team of nine individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. This is a unique and hugely rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of suddenly bereaved individuals across our communities.
You will work closely with the Therapies Assessor and Service Manager and Children and Young People Service Manager to provide a holistic, joined up service to all who access our service.
Main duties:
- To manage the bereavement service including the operational delivery of our therapeutic service and ongoing support, ensuring the service is delivered consistently, responsively and to a high standard
- Monitor and maintain high-quality therapeutic support in line with ethical frameworks (e.g., BACP/UKCP/BAPT).
- Ensure client records, risk assessments, and service monitoring forms are accurate and stored securely.
- Manage referrals, assessments, allocation of clients, and waiting lists efficiently.
- To develop and oversee ongoing support services including coffee mornings, support events, our respite house and online support events, in line with budget and service delivery expectation
- To work closely with the Head of Bereavement Services to ensure delivery and growth of services
- To oversee the awareness raising efforts with our secondary referral partners across Wales and the two phases of England
- To oversee the service and monitoring tools and ensure we are actively gathering feedback and monitoring appropriately
Management:
- To lead, motivate and line manage the ongoing support team responsible for delivering our ongoing support service
- Manage a growing team, organise regular team meetings and set realistic but challenging objectives to further the work of the charity
- To carry our monthly supervisions and bi-annual appraisals with the Counselling and Support Outreach Coordinators and Support Coordinator
- To carry out bi-monthly case reviews with the Immediate Support team
- To produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to evidence activity and impact
- To develop and oversee a training programme for the team including mandatory and varied subject matter
General:

Key Purpose:
To work as part of a team that provide high quality casework and grant applications to farming people that come to RABI for support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality information, advice and guidance in an empathetic and professional manner.
- Conduct a holistic needs assessment for each service user according to their individual circumstances.
- Manage a caseload of beneficiaries working with each service user to establish the most appropriate sources of support and agree an action/support plan with them.
- Collation of evidence for grants applications, checking that essential criteria have been met and progressing applications to the next stage of RABI’s internal grants process.
- Provide a face-to-face service when there is an over-riding need to do so by visiting service users.
- Collaborate with other agencies/service providers who can offer additional support options.
- Liaise with partners, ensuring that agreed actions are followed up.
- Log and communicate details of cases in a timely and accurate manner to ensure that records are up to date and the wider team has the information they need to provide support.
- Explore, assess and escalate any safeguarding concerns according to the RABI safeguarding policy.
- Contribute constructively to the development of the Service Delivery team and function, for the benefit of service users.
- Work constructively and collaboratively to solve problems with the support of colleagues.
- Be an ambassador for Service Delivery internally within RABI and with external organisations.
- Demonstrate commitment to Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Fluent Welsh language speaker.
- Experience providing services to vulnerable service users, listening and supporting in a non-judgemental way.
- Knowledge and insight into state benefits and complementary support services (whether national/local/statutory agencies.)
- Strong ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively, prioritising competing demands to include keeping excellent case records.
- Excellent communication skills, being able to establish rapport and build trust quickly.
- The ability to build a practical plan alongside a service user and adapt approach to different circumstances and personalities.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, particularly in complex situations
- Knowledge of data protection principles and how to apply them.
- Knowledge or experience of safeguarding best practice.
- Excellent IT software skills and aptitude to adapt to new systems and processes.

The Estate Officer will ensure the delivery of the regional maintenance programme, comprising routine, periodic, planned and urgent works, and the delivery of time limited maintenance consultancy and estate management projects. Working alongside the Conservation Projects Manager, the post holder will ensure regional estate compliance with CCT policies.
The post holder will be the main contact for all maintenance related matters and will maintain the property management records for the estate, develop volunteer projects and training on maintenance reporting and conservation cleaning and will assist with fundraising.

What will I be doing?
Supporting the translation of marketing delivery plans and budgets into regional cross-channel integrated briefs
Supporting the Regional Marketing Manager on the delivery of brief outputs, coordinating the brief response, development and approval process
Working with agencies, freelancers and internal Creative Team to tailor national creative to meet regional audience needs
Supporting the regional marketing campaign set-up and management process across above-the-line channels, auditing campaign elements prior to launch
Working in collaboration with Marketing Delivery teams to ensure regional campaigns are integrated with wider marketing programmes and spot opportunities to align activity that delivers improved supporter experiences
Conducting in-campaign and post-campaign analysis, preparing regular reports and supporting the implementation of optimisation initiatives to improve live campaign activity.
What skills are we looking for?
Understanding of end-to-end supporter or customer journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns
Experience of developing campaign assets for use across channels
Ability to prioritise, manage conflicting deadlines, work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks to deadline
Proven success of good stakeholder management, with the ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively

The opportunity:
We are looking for a Co-Director to join the team and be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the organisation. The successful candidate will work with the Founder and stakeholders to ensure that TBEN fulfils its mission, but also ensuring that it maintains financial sustainability and delivers impactful programs.
This is a brand new role for TBEN and we are looking for someone who can join us and make a real difference to what we are able to deliver.

- Proven experience as an Economist or a field related to economics and related fields;
- Proven experience as a people manager who has recruited, nurtured and developed a successful team;
