About the job
We're looking for two Education Quality Coordinator's to help make sure students' academic voices are heard loud and clear. You'll work closely with UAL staff and student leaders to deliver course-based initiatives, opportunities and events that make a real difference to the experience of our students. A big part of your role will be the annual cycle of recruiting, training and support course and school reps so they feel confident and capable in representing their peers. You'll work with students to collect and share feedback, run academic campaigns and help shape positive changes to courses across UAL. You'll also keep track of key data, and support targeted engagement initiatives, and make sure students feel a genuine sense of belonging through their academic journey. It's a hands-on role where relationship building and problem solving go hand in hand.

We are looking for a Student Advisor to join our Advice team, helping students navigate challenges and make the most of their time at UAL. You'll offer one-to-one and group advice on a range of academic (including appeals, academic misconduct, complaints and extenuating circumstances) and housing issues, signposting students to other useful services when needed. Sometimes you'll act as an advocate for students in university meetings or help them put together a strong case to get the outcome they're hoping for. About the Role
We are looking to hire a skilled and engaging Education Officer to join a busy team, supporting the implementation and expansion of an established educational outreach programme, which reaches children in Scotland and Northern England.
At present, this post has funding for three years from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, 1.5 years of which is now complete and we are looking for someone to deliver the second 1.5 years of the project.
The purpose of the role is to extend passion and knowledge of beavers into communities around Britain, to engage and enthuse young people and to reconnect (or reinforce) their love of nature. Using and tailoring current materials and resources, you will do so by delivering high-quality learning sessions within schools, community groups or virtual training sessions, sometimes delivered in conjunction with beaver site partners and their education teams.
You will also be responsible for supporting wider aspects of the programme together with the Education Team, according to the requirements for each country and in partnership with relevant organisations
Key responsibilities include:
· Deliver a range of exciting, curriculum-linked workshops, non-curriculum home education talks, school and group sessions associated with beaver release sites.
· Run regional events and outreach activities to expand engagement in beaver education.
· Network and build contacts and relationships with key personnel in schools, youth groups and community groups in order to create engagement with the education programme and expand its reach.
· Support the development of further resources, activities and events specific to the country and region, and deliver existing activities for group learning.
· Monitor, collate and report on work carried out, toward learning goals and impact reporting, coordinated by the Senior Education Officer to support the programme evaluation.
· Support volunteers and build capacity working with partner site staff in the delivery of beaver education programmes.

About You
We are looking for someone with experience of working with young audiences, preferably within a wildlife or conservation setting. You will have a good grasp of ecology and be willing to travel around the country to support learning education opportunities as well as being confident running sessions or delivering train-the-trainer sessions online.
Essential skills and experience include:
· A foundation degree level or equivalent in a zoology, biology or conservation-related field, OR; A teaching/education qualification or equivalent experience in teaching, using different delivery methods including virtual delivery. Both formal qualifications OR equivalent lived, voluntary or professional experience are welcome.
· The ability to communicate complex concepts in an innovative and engaging way to a young audience.
· The skill set to inspire people to connect with nature, to support teachers, deliver talks, presentations and education sessions.
· A strong interest in nature, conservation and restoration.
· Working knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures.
· Competent use of IT skills, preferably Google Suite, and high standards for visual content.
· Experience in confidently using IT packages for teaching delivery, including the use of tablets, presentation software and audiovisual.
· A full valid UK driving licence (you will be required to access remote rural locations carrying more equipment than can be handled on public transport)
· Resident in mainland Britain and proof of right to work in Britain.

The Supporter Care Coordinator role sits within the Supporter Experience team, whose goal is to ensure that all Scope supporters, whether they are giving time, money, or voice, have the best experience each time they interact with us.
The role
The Supporter Care team is the first point of contact for all supporter and donor queries, so you will be at the frontline, engaging with a variety of people contacting Scope. We have created this new post and are looking for a creative, welcoming coordinator to help us grow and meet the needs of our community. The postholder will coordinate the welcome experience, the community space, and the communications with the group. services delivers specialist 24-hour supported accommodation where young people are supported to acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently, safely explore their increased freedom of choice and develop responsibilities associated with adulthood, whilst still having the appropriate level of support from an experienced team.
We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and support residents into independent accommodation. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building.
We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Ewhurst Road team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Housing
- Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living.
- Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
- Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.
Coaching and Engagement
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
- Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
- Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).
General
- Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
- Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
- Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

Experience and Knowledge
- Experience relating to housing, support work, and/or working with young people at risk
- Experience of working proactively with a caseload of young people with multiple and complex needs to enable them to achieve independent living.
- Knowledge of statutory and voluntary resources available to young people with multiple and complex needs.
- Knowledge of good safeguarding procedures in relation to young people and the ability to maintain effective professional boundaries.
- Demonstrated confidence and competence in recording notes/actions in service log, incident forms and health and safety check lists.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary.
- Ability to work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills.
- Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

We are recruiting a Drugs Education Coordinator (Scotland) to join our team. This role will involve the coordination and delivery of DSMF drug education in Scotland, based in the Grampian region, working with the Head of Education and Engagement and Director to develop provision regionally and more widely.
Suitable candidates will:
- be passionate about supporting young people to make safer choices about drugs and alcohol
- have experience of developing and delivering drug and/or alcohol education in schools, colleges and/or the community
- have experience of working with young people, including a knowledge of substance use and its impacts
- have experience of project coordination, with excellent organisation skills
- be a skilled and effective communicator, both in writing and orally, with a wide range of people and agencies
