In this new role, you will support the Programmes team by collecting, cleaning, and analysing key datasets, as well as crafting accessible visualisations that inform reporting and strategic planning. A core responsibility will be preparing data for the National Committee Fund review, ensuring external reviewers have the insights they need. Working closely with colleagues across departments, you will help identify relevant data sources and enhance monitoring and evaluation efforts.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with some experience in data analysis - gained through internships, volunteer roles, or academic projects. Familiarity with spreadsheet tools, data cleaning methods and basic visualisation techniques is essential, while knowledge of UWC’s volunteer-based systems is an asset. Job Description

Spires was established as a response to homelessness in the late 1980s. Initially providing a hot meal, clothing, and advice to those who came for help, Spires has developed into an organization that provides a range of services, including day centre style drop ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working. 

Our core mission is to support homeless people into housing and to assist those who have been homeless in maintaining their accommodation, reducing the risks they face, and increasing their choices. We assess need, create support plans, and provide ongoing key work to empower people to improve their circumstances.

Purpose of Role:

• Support the effective delivery of Spires services across the range of activities provided, 
• Provide casework, support planning, and key working sessions for Spires’ clients.

Position in Organisation:

As Senior Finance Officer, you will play a vital role at World Heart Beat, ensuring the effective day-to-day management of finances, financial administration, and bookkeeping, as well as informing future business planning. You will work with key personnel across the team, providing guidance and leadership in relation to budget management and financial information to support funding applications and stewardship. You will also provide excellent reporting to support the Executive and Board.

With support from the marketing team, you'll ensure effective merchandising and campaigns that increase sales and engage the student community. Strong relationships with students, colleagues, and suppliers are vital.

You will also manage catering bookings and ensure services meet high standards, from enquiry to delivery. Compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and equipment maintenance is essential. Issues must be reported promptly, maintain a safe environment, and ensure all staff follow uniform and cleaning protocols.
