Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Location: Based in our London office, E1, with regular travel (at least four times per month) across London and the UK to meet with donors and senior stakeholders. Flexible homeworking options available in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working Policy.

Hours: 35 hours per week, we are open to a range working arrangements i.e. part-time, minimum of 28 hours per week or compressed hours.

About the role

Are you an exceptional relationship-builder with a passion for driving social change? You will be confident navigating complex organisations, able to build internal consensus, and experienced in managing engagement through senior volunteers or development boards. Your excellent interpersonal and influencing skills will ensure you thrive in high-level conversations and build long-lasting, meaningful partnerships.

The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations. The Action on Disability Employment Service is setting the agenda for disability employment across London with great results. We provide management, job coaching and employer engagement for over 50 young people with learning disabilities each year across our 6 internship sites.

We are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.

Background

Action on Disability is the supported employment service partner on a number of supported internships for young people with learning disabilities around West and South London. They are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.

The Post

The purpose of the job is to provide coaching, support and guidance to young people with learning disabilities (17+) within their workplaces. You will support interns/graduates to become independent in their roles and provide the necessary coaching, training and encouragement to enable them to succeed. You will work closely with the employer to ensure they are supported and can confidently manage and train their intern/employee once your support has been withdrawn.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To carry out a detailed job analysis of potential jobs / work placements
• To carry out detailed job matching of service users and jobs
• To comprehensively learn jobs across different sectors – not restricted to but potentially including – Catering, Customer Service, Administration, IT and Retail
• To implement training/coaching plans which will enable the candidates to fulfil their roles to employer standards
• To conduct regular reviews to ensure candidates are progressing within their roles and to identify and meet new support needs
• To build up natural support within employers and taper off one 1:1 job coaching over time
• To negotiate and implement disability-related reasonable adjustments on an individual basis

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The role involves supporting service users from referral through admission, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met while collaborating with clinical teams for smooth transitions. Staff provide activities and interventions to help reduce crises, identify triggers, and create safety plans that promote mental health and prevent hospital admissions. One-on-one sessions are conducted to develop wellness recovery action plans, set SMART goals, and build social networks, alongside practical life skills training such as food preparation. Staff also liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies, deliver post-admission welfare support, and maintain high living standards between admissions, all while engaging in professional development to address challenges like self-harm and substance use.

The position emphasizes teamwork, co-production, and administrative duties. Staff collaborate with Recovery Workers and management to deliver a team-based approach, promote services, and support user engagement in peer-led activities and forums. They are responsible for maintaining accurate service user records, monitoring service upkeep, ensuring health and safety compliance, and working with multi-agency providers under governance protocols. Additionally, they contribute to developing service standards, follow policies and legislation, report maintenance issues, and undertake additional duties as required, always upholding health and safety rules and procedures.

Bexley Deaf Centre (BDC) is a small and dynamic, well-established charity which has been serving the borough since 1994. About the Role

The Refugee and Migrant Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our Resettlement Department. As part of our mission to assist refugees and migrants in overcoming barriers to integration, this role will play a key part in helping newly arrived refugees settle into their new communities with confidence and independence.

RMC is a well-established charity with over 25 years of experience working with vulnerable refugees and migrants. We provide a range of services, including immigration advice, housing support, welfare assistance, and employment guidance. Our work ensures that refugees and migrants receive the necessary support to become equal citizens in the UK.

Purpose of the Role

The Family Support Worker will support newly arrived refugees and their families, enabling them to navigate the complex challenges of settling into the UK. Working closely with our multi-skilled resettlement team, you will deliver holistic support to refugees across a range of services, including welfare benefits, housing, health, education, and employment. You will also play a key role in empowering families to build their confidence, independence, and long-term integration into the community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Client Support & Case Management:

• Manage a caseload of newly arrived refugee families, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs.
• Conduct home visits and orientation sessions to welcome clients to their new community and complete holistic needs assessments.
• Develop Personal Integration Plans for each household on a quarterly basis, helping them set goals for long-term independence.
• Coordinate support with external agencies and specialists to address clients’ needs, ensuring seamless service delivery.
• Support families with housing, welfare benefits, education, healthcare, and employment.
• Assist with registration for healthcare services (GPs, dentists, opticians) and support with medical assessments.
• Facilitate access to education for children and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes for adults.
• Provide guidance on immigration matters and ensure the correct paperwork is in place, including registering for Biometric Residence Cards and supporting welfare benefit applications.
• Ensure clients are financially supported by applying for relevant welfare benefits and assisting with mandatory reconsiderations as required.

Integration & Independence:

• Provide written reports and case updates as required by the Resettlement Coordinator and Manager.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of services based on monitoring and evaluation feedback.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Development Operations and Stewardship Officer to join our Development Directorate, providing key support within a small fundraising team of 9. This role is central to ensuring our supporters feel valued and engaged. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

You’re a multimedia designer who thrives on creative challenges, bringing ideas to life through video, photography, animation and motion graphics. You work efficiently while maximising every opportunity to elevate campaigns, feeding into concepts and shaping the bigger picture. Strategic and creative, you pair sharp attention to detail with technical and storytelling skills, staying adaptable, organised and solutions-focused to ensure our digital media always delivers impact.

• Lead the creation of engaging video, photo and motion content, from concept development through to final delivery, including scripting, storyboarding, filming and editing.
• Oversee photography across The Charity – identifying gaps in our photography, building and developing our image library through regular photoshoots and ensuring that consent processes follow our data management policy.
• Manage, plan, organise and coordinate on-location and studio filming and photoshoots, ensuring shoots run smoothly and meet creative briefs.
• Conduct interviews and film with case studies, capturing authentic stories that connect audiences with The Charity’s work.
• Shoot and produce high-quality digital video content, managing the process end-to-end, from scriptwriting and sourcing through to editing and publishing.
• Edit raw camera footage, audio, sound effects, graphics and special effects into polished content tailored to the target channels.
• Apply strong post-production skills, including audio mixing, colour grading and motion enhancement to deliver professional outputs.
• Produce animation, motion graphics and kinetic typography to enhance campaigns and digital storytelling.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Fundraising and other teams across The Charity to generate ideas, develop storyboards and create promotional video content for external use.
• Deliver optimised video and motion assets in the correct formats for use across social media, web and other channels
• Lead on the photo and video consent process, ensuring all permissions are GDPR and policy compliant and support teams across the organisation in following best practice.
• Provide training sessions for staff on video, photo and content creation, helping to develop creative skills across The Charity.
• Lead on building an always-on bank of innovative and engaging content to ensure a steady flow of creative assets for campaigns and digital channels as well as managing The Charity’s photo and video libraries to make sure content is accessible, well-organised and brand compliant.

Our Communications Assistant will amplify all the great things the Foundation does. They will be responsible for JPF’s youth-focused social media channels (Instagram, TikTok etc.), creating marketing material focused on inspiring and motivating young people to engage with the Foundation, and our community development. About Your Responsibilities

The Communications Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team across three areas, as well as supporting a number of other initiatives across the Foundation.

The primary duties are:

Digital Communications and Marketing

• Newsletter Creation: Develop newsletters for young people, collaborating with the Grants Team and our partners to curate engaging and relevant content.

• Promotional Materials: Oversee the design and production of leaflets and brochures aimed at young audiences.

• Website Maintenance: Regularly update the JPF website with blogs, case studies and other content to highlight opportunities and programmes like the Individual Grant for Volunteering or success stories of Achievement Award winners.

• Storytelling: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer and Events Team to source and share positive news stories of Achievement Award winners in press releases and across our digital channels.

• Press and Outreach: Assisting in drafting press releases and executing outreach campaigns to promote JPF’s work to key networks and to the broader public.

• Event Promotion: Work in partnership with the Events Team to promote attendance at our Achievement Award events through our website and social media platforms.

• Youth Consultation Panel (YCP) Collaboration: Collaborate with JPF's Youth Consultation Panel to create educational and professional development content for the Jack Petchey Alumni Network.

Programme Launches: Work with colleagues across JPF to launch and promote new programmes, grant opportunities and recruitment across our digital channels.

• Competitions and Opportunities: Enhance JPF's youth engagement through creative competitions and development opportunities that celebrate young people’s achievements. 

Content Creation

• Daily Duties: Handle day-to-day scheduling, monitoring and interactions across our youthfocused social media platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok) to maintain audience engagement.

• Campaign Development: Lead the creation of social media campaigns celebrating young people’s achievements and promoting opportunities for young people and grantees to get involved with JPF.

• Content creation: Develop engaging content for social media channels, including sourcing images, creating/editing videos and designing graphics in line with JPF’s branding.

• Video Content: Work with staff and our Youth Consultation Panel to produce more film content for our social media channels.

• Social Media Takeovers: Host social media takeovers with our Youth Consultation Panel to amplify their voices and views.

• Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse the performance of our social media channels, benchmarking activities against past metrics and producing regular reports for the Communications and Engagement Manager.

• Annual Plan: Contribute to JPF’s annual communications strategy, including devising social media plans, providing recommendations to enhance audience engagement and expand reach.

• Trend monitoring: Stay updated on news and trending topics related to young people and JPF, proactively responding to highlight our opportunities and work.

Community Development 

• Youth consultation Panel (YCP): Work with the JPF team to engage with and support our Youth Consultation Panel to share their opinions and help inform the work of the Foundation.

• Alumni Network: Support the development of the Jack Petchey Alumni Network, a community of past JPF programme graduates, expanding its uptake and planning future events.

• Youth Survey Development: Support the creation, distribution and analysis of JPF’s annual youth surveys.

• Partner Collaboration: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer to manage our partners to promote their programmes and opportunities to young people.

• Identifying Stakeholders: Collaborate with colleagues on developing JPF’s Patrons and Ambassador’s plan with a focus on young people from the charity’s past as well as social media influencers. 

Other Responsibilities

• Event Representation: Attend key events to capture content and represent JPF as a spokesperson when needed.

• Event Support: Assist in organising and facilitating events and conferences as required.

The organisation is an independent charitable foundation that aims to build partnerships and invest in communities to make lasting change so local residents can access the wealth of opportunities that surround them. For 35 years they have been supporting communities and local charities in the East End of London.

This Grants Officer role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis (35 hours a week). This is a hybrid role, where the foundation would like the postholder to attend the Isle of Dogs office two days a week in East London, with Wednesday being a core office day. The salary banding for this role is £28,000-£32,000 (dependent on level of experience).

In this role, you will report to the Head of Grants and Programmes and support the development, management, and promotion of the foundation's grants programmes. You will manage a portfolio of grants, provide guidance to applicants and grantees, assess grant applications, and conduct due diligence to inform funding recommendations.

You will monitor funded projects, ensure timely reporting and validate project delivery. You will maintain accurate records on Salesforce. You will support donor engagement, ensure reporting aligns with CSR goals, review end-of-grant reports, and contribute to annual programme reporting. You will help deliver funding workshops and community events. You will assist with developing systems, policies, and communication tools for grant making. You will stay up to date on best practices in grant making and contribute to continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of the grant making process. You could be a trust and foundations fundraiser wanting to make the transition to grants officer, or a grants administrator or officer seeking to progress further in your career. While training and support will be provided you must understand what makes a good funding application, and an ability to critically review proposals, in order to make appropriate recommendations.   
 
You will have experience or understanding of working within the voluntary sector and needs of communities in the East-End of London. You will have a strong eye for detail and experience gathering, recording information, and presenting to audiences. 

You will be a strong communicator, who can develop relationships with people from different backgrounds and lived experiences. You will be able to work on your own initiative and within a small team. You will have excellent IT literacy and administrative skills.
 
Desirably, you will have experience using Salesforce CRM, managing budgets, knowledge of participatory grant making, and public speaking.

About the Role

This exciting Fundraising and Engagement Officer role will be part of the Fundraising and Engagement team to ensure that the delivery of Mind BLMK’s current and future offer of fundraising and engagement are effectively delivered. As the Fundraising and Engagement Officer you will be responsible for supporting the growth of income across individual, major donors alongside community and corporate fundraising.

In this role you will be responsible for implementing and administrating fundraising and engagement activities, supporting inspiring campaigns, optimising stewardship and attending fundraising events.

As the Fundraising and Engagement Officer you will work closely with the fundraising and engagement team in the planning and development of fundraising initiatives.
