Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. 

Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking to recruit a Sessional Youth Worker to join the Oasis Youth & Community Team.

Our team offer a wide variety of Youth Work activities that promote the development of young people, including open access youth club sessions, holiday clubs, mentoring, sports activities as well as targeted support. Training will be given. 

Key responsibilities will include:

- Working as part of a team be responsible for supporting on activities for young people within a number of sites in which we operate, including Oasis Academy Enfield, Oasis Academy Hadley, Ponders End Youth Centre and Bell Lane Youth Centre as arranged. 

- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young people accessing our projects.

- Leading on activities that support the holistic development of young people.

ADSS (Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Services) believes in enabling those who live with dementia to live well. ADSS is Kent’s biggest independent charity dedicated to providing support to people affected by dementia. Following a significant expansion in 2022, the team is now supporting more people than ever before.

Main Purpose of Job

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing and communication plans that support the organisation’s goals and enhance its brand visibility. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership, creativity, and communication skills to manage internal and external communications, media relations, digital marketing, and brand development ensuring the Charity achieves its ambitious 2030 strategy.

Principal Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

·Implement the new marketing and communications strategy to increase brand recognition, deliver our impact message and support our fundraising ambitions.

·Monitor and report on delivery of the strategy. . Play a leadership role in committees and working groups bringing your marketing and communications expertise to help influence decision making.

·Be an Ambassador for ADSS: embody its values and be a role model for the organisational culture.  

Marketing Strategy and Execution

·Refine and implement comprehensive marketing and communications plans to support ADSS’s mission, programs, and services.

·Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing strategies with organisational goals and priorities.

·Manage the organisation's digital and print marketing initiatives, including social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and brochures.

·Utilize analytics tools to track marketing performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns.

·Revise and update the strategy based on evaluation and learning.

Content Creation and Storytelling

·Create compelling, relevant, and engaging content for various platforms including websites, blogs, newsletters, social media channels, and press releases.

·Oversee the development and ongoing management of our website to become a key channel for fundraising, promoting our services and informing people affected by dementia.

·Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects ADSS’s values and resonates with stakeholders.

·Highlight client stories, testimonials, and case studies to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia-related issues, ADSS services and our expertise in this space.

Public Relations and Media Relations

·Build and maintain relationships with local media, journalists, stakeholder communications teams and content creators to secure coverage of ADSS’s initiatives, events, and key messages.

·Coordinate media outreach, including press releases, pitches, and media events.

·Represent ADSS at community and media events as needed to promote the organisation’s visibility.

Event Promotion and Community Engagement

·Collaborate with individual teams to create marketing strategies and campaigns that increase attendance and engagement at services, fundraising and community events.

·Promote awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia through events, campaigns, and community partnerships.

·Build relationships with Communication teams from our key stakeholders and partners to promote joint initiatives and messaging.

Social Media and Digital Engagement

·Manage ADSS’s social media presence, including creating content, monitoring engagement, and growing the organization’s online following.

·Stay updated on social media trends and digital marketing strategies to ensure the organisation maintains a strong online presence.

·Track and report on digital engagement metrics to continuously refine online strategies.

Internal Communications

·Develop internal communications to keep staff, volunteers, and board members informed about organisational updates, events, and news.

·Ensure consistent messaging across internal and external communications channels.

General Responsibilities

Provide management support and coaching for staff on marketing and communications matters, as required.

Please note that this role is a permanent position, but we would consider a Fixed Term Contract for an outstanding candidate. Although the closing date is 30th September, we are reviewing and shortlisting applications on a ongoing basis so do apply as soon as possible.
The role is hybrid, so for full time hours would mean 40-60 percent of the time worked from our Bradford offices (2-3 days).

CAP is a national charity that is driven to help release people from debt, poverty and their causes through partnering with local churches.  We do this by providing a variety of services: CAP Debt Help, CAP Job Clubs, CAP Release Groups and CAP Life Skills.  We also help churches teach basic budgeting and money management skills through our CAP Money course.  Our debt help service involves holding client assets. Purpose:

The finance department is going through an exciting period of transformation. Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will help shape the strategy and delivery of excellent forward-facing financial planning, statutory and regulatory reporting, costing and client asset management.

Accountabilities:

• Build and develop a strong finance operations function with robust internal and external controls through active line management and regular training

• Drive the annual statutory reporting process - developing a clear timeline, planning and negotiating with our internal communications team to deliver a high quality annual report for Trustee approval and sign off

• Lead the external audit process, negotiating fees, timetables and take the lead role in all meetings with the Audit Partner and their team. About the role

You will work closely with the Income Generation Team and Services Teams to develop and maintain long-term sustainable funding from Trusts and Foundations. Through developing and expanding income through grants, evolving our case for support, and managing relationships with a variety of grant funders, you will transform survivors’ lives and help us be part of the systems change to end sexual violence.

You will undertake new prospect research, keep up-to-date with the sector at large, and maintain and grow our funding pipeline. You will also write compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals, alongside timely reports to funders. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and offer opportunities to engage funders directly with our work.

You will be passionate about implementing the SARSAS fundraising strategy ensuring that SARSAS can continue to deliver support to meet the needs of those who have been raped and sexually abused across Avon and Somerset.

You will be a skilled writer who is confident in identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects to continue our successful growth. You will have strong relationship management skills and will be able to build and sustain long-term relationships with funders, as well as identify opportunities to deepen funders’ commitment to our cause.

You will have strong organisational skills, and be able to manage a workload which balances application and reporting deadlines alongside funder stewardship and pipeline development. You will also be a good team player and self-starter – we’re a small team who manage our own workloads, but we relish the opportunity to come together, share ideas and take creative risks.

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

Unfold is an established local charity, supporting young people and families in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea to get where they want to be, identifying and achieving their goals through mentoring and peer support.   

For over 35 years, we have been supporting people who face social injustice, from families seeking asylum and young people excluded from school to women rebuilding confidence after hardship. Our programmes are rooted in empowerment and inclusion, led by trained volunteers who mentor, listen, and champion change.

We seek two analytic and entrepreneurial Research Managers to contribute to our ambitious research agenda, and scale the Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program from launching ~12 charities per year to 20. Future Growth Trajectories

The AIM research team is an excellent training and development ground for researchers. Over time, we expect research managers to gain increasing degrees of independence and eventually own work streams as senior research managers. 

Previous staff have also started organizations and gone on to work in other research and grantmaking institutions, including Founders Pledge and Open Philanthropy. Research fellows from our AIM Research Training Program have gone on to work for several highly impactful research organizations, including Giving What We Can, Animal Charity Evaluators, Animal Advocacy Africa, and Giving Green.

Purpose of the Role: As a key leader within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable income growth through high-impact, strategic and philanthropic partnerships with trusts, foundations and corporate partners.

In addition, you’ll help to build and nurture our supporter community through initiatives such as payroll giving, individual giving and corporate community fundraising.

Person Specification (Knowledge, skills and experience required)

Fundraising experience

• Demonstrable experience of working in a fundraising role in a charity or similar non-profit organisation  
• Demonstrable experience of stewarding high value partnerships with trusts and foundations and/or corporates  
• Demonstrable experience of writing funding proposals/bids/grant applications and pitching for funding opportunities  

Fundraising knowledge

• Knowledge of fundraising techniques such as prospecting, cultivating, securing and managing partnerships  
• Understanding of good practice in fundraising, including data protection and donor stewardship  
• Understanding of budget creation and income reporting

IT skills 

• Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Excel functions  
• Experience of using or understanding of using CRM software to effectively support fundraising e.g. Salesforce

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Job Purpose:
Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending. 

The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women who have been referred for support by prison staff, predominately the Mental Health In-Reach Teams and Primary Care Teams.

Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy and support to women in contact with the criminal justice system.
2. Maintain case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording.
3. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders such as statutory and voluntary sector agencies.
