Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility for delivering high-quality, accurate, compliant and commercially sound proposals on time, to budget, with inputs from key stakeholders.
• Responsible for the coordination and management of all Bid activities, for ensuring that Bid Plans are put in place and that all internal inputs are received promptly to meet Bid submission timescales.
• Responsible for the receipt, management, control and coordination of all external and internal information and documentation with respect to the enquiry and for the team acting as custodian for Bid documents, including all approved internal documentation signed by the Organisation.
• Responsible for compliance with all internal Bid policies and procedures and for passing internal and external audits.
• Contribute to the overall Bid strategy alongside other stakeholders.
• Responsible for the overall leadership of the team and ensuring that individuals within the team are given appropriate opportunities to grow and develop, and that the team maximises performance by creating and fostering a positive, can-do attitude and outlook on an ongoing basis.
• Responsibility to ensure that improvements are identified and those agreed upon are implemented continuously to support the growth and development of the team and those within it.
• There is a need to keep good records and to create and measure metrics on bidding performance to both review performance and drive continuous improvement in a key area of the business.

This is a hybrid role and you will need to attend in person every now and again, so we are looking for someone local to our area in N. London. 

We are looking for someone who has worked in a small, busy office for at least 3 years, preferably at a senior level.

• Helping the founder and lead volunteer Adam, the trustees, and the main project leads

• Picking up non-time critical, general tasks from meetings or on-going workstreams

The Opportunity:

Her Centre is seeking a Treasurer to enable the future of our organisation, along with
our excellent board of trustees. This opportunity will involve working closely with the
Board Chair, the Board of Trustees, the CEO, and the Head of Finance. The
Treasurer will drive change and ensure that our vital work continues to support every
woman in Greenwich who needs us. You will be joining a dedicated board that
includes expertise from across the private and charitable sectors, the local authority,
and lived experience.

Our Work:
Greenwich has one of the highest rates of domestic abuse in London. Last year
alone, over 4,000 domestic offences were recorded in the borough: a shocking 35%
higher than the London average. Demand for our services has risen sharply: in 2017,
we received 321 acute high-risk referrals but by last year, this had more than
doubled to 780. The most common form of abuse reported is physical violence
(62%), followed by controlling and coercive behaviour (46%). However, the sad
reality is that many women face multiple and overlapping forms of abuse, including
sexual abuse and rape, threats to their children, financial control, and forced
imprisonment.
Last year, Her Centre supported nearly 1,000 women to find safety, seek justice, and
rebuild their lives. We also help children who witness abuse recover from trauma and
support teenagers facing exploitation or violence to recognise unhealthy
relationships and build self-worth. Her Centre is a safe and welcoming space where
all women are listened to and believed in an environment of trust and respect.

Role Description:
Board Treasurer

• Time commitment: 3-4 hours monthly. The HER Centre board meetings are hybrid

and currently held every two months.

• Responsible to: The Board of Trustees

Purpose of the role:
The Board Treasurer is responsible for advising the board on its financial
responsibilities, ensuring its effectiveness in enabling the HER Centre to provide
best-in-class service to users and in keeping the HER Centre a leading agency
supporting women, particularly those in crisis due to abuse. The Board Treasurer
oversees annual budget planning and contributes to risk and operational plans. The
Board Treasurer also adheres to the Charity Commission's essentials of a trustee:
1. Ensure the HER Centre carries out its purpose for public benefit
2. Ensure the HER Centre complies with the governing document and law
3. Acts in the HER Centre’s best interest
4. Manage the HER Centre’s resources responsibly
5. Act with reasonable care and skill
6. Ensure the HER Centre is accountable
7. Reduce risk and liability

Main roles and responsibilities:
• Oversee the HER Centre’s finances to ensure its regulatory and legal
responsibilities are met and comply with charity accounting practice.
• Oversee the annual budget, including budget planning, monitoring and
reporting
• Ensure the HER Centre’s accounts are prepared and the key issues and risks
are reported to the trustee board in a timely and effective manner.
• Monitor and report on the HER Centre’s financial health at regular board
meetings
• Lead in the development and implementation of finance policies and robust
controls
• Liaise with external auditors or advisors, as required
• Ensure the HER Centre is up to date on financial reporting and governance
requirements
• Contribute to the HER Centre’s risk and operational plans

Term: Two years, renewable for a maximum of nine years.

Training and Induction:
You will receive an induction on the work of the HER Centre and meet the Trustees
and staff.
Payment and Expenses:
The Board Treasurer is a voluntary role. Agreed, out-of-pocket expenses will be
reimbursed.

EIA UK is seeking a motivated volunteer to support our Fundraising team as we expand our mass participation events programme. The volunteer will ideally work 1 day a week and for a period of 3 months.

A key focus of the Fundraising team is to raise unrestricted income for EIA, so that the funds raised can be spent wherever the need is greatest. We are now scaling up our involvement in mass participation events to increase brand awareness, attract new supporters, and grow our unrestricted fundraising income and we need your help to do this!

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience in events and fundraising at a leading international environmental NGO — while helping protect the planet for future generations.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you’ll play a key role in helping us grow our events programme and engage new supporters. You’ll:

• Support the planning and logistics of multiple mass participation events such as Swim Serpentine and the London Marathon
• Steward our fundraisers across all events
• Be a key point of communication
• Assist with digital and on the ground outreach before, during and post event
• Research new events and fill out applications for EIA to participate

Individuals with great communication and organisational skills are encouraged to apply and should have an interest in the environment, a passion for conservation and share the aims of EIA.

You will work closely with the Graphic and Content Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure all activity aligns with SSI’s brand, values, and communications policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule, manage, and publish posts on SSI’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) in line with content provided by the Graphic and Content Coordinator.

• Go live on social media platforms as needed to promote events, campaigns, or community initiatives.

• Monitor SSI’s social media channels, including comments, messages, tags, and mentions, ensuring timely, professional, community-centred responses.

• Collaborate with the Graphic and Content Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure messaging aligns with campaigns, brand guidelines, and organisational priorities.

• Track basic analytics and engagement data, providing concise reports and insights to inform ongoing activity.

• Ensure all social media activity complies with SSI’s Brand Identity, Social Media Policy, and Communications Policy.

• Support the promotion of events, membership drives, and campaigns through coordinated social media activity with the team. 

About You

Essential

• Experience in social media management and channel oversight.

• Confident using social media tools, scheduling platforms, and basic analytics dashboards.

• Strong organisational skills, able to manage calendars, live sessions, and multiple priorities.

• Clear, professional written communication and a community-centred approach when engaging online.

• Comfortable working collaboratively with the Graphic and Content Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Team.

• Genuine interest in community engagement, social enterprise, and SSI’s mission.

Desirable

• Familiarity with analytics tools (Instagram Insights, Meta Analytics, or similar) to track engagement and inform strategy.

• Interest in ethical storytelling, nonprofit marketing, or advocacy work.

• Experience coordinating with creative teams or managing workflows across multiple stakeholders.

• Ability to interpret social media metrics and make practical recommendations for improvement.

• Experience working in a small team or dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key.

• Strong organisational skills for managing multiple platforms, schedules, and live events simultaneously.
