We are looking for a warm, flexible and highly motivated fundraiser to work across all areas of our fundraising, from securing income from trusts and foundations and corporate partners to staying on top of our individual giving.

Objectives:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Fundraising

• Develop and review Egg and Engagement fundraising strategies with Egg Director, Head of Engagement and Head of Development.
• Support the planning, budgeting and coordination of projects, in liaison with Egg Director, Head of Engagement and Head of Development, to realise fundraising strategy.
• Lead on the stewardship of existing funders, managing the reporting relationship.
• Identify and cultivate new trust and foundation relationships needed for Egg and Creative Learning projects. This could include bid writing or asset creation.
• Build strong cases for support, identifying all the information needed to create compelling proposals and reports for high and mid-value funders
• Write, budget and submit applications to trusts and foundations.
• Monthly reporting with Development Team and Egg Director, and Quarterly reporting to Head of Finance and Director.
• Delivering and Managing the Egg Development Plan KPIs related to the Development Team.
• Facilitate the writing of the next Egg Development Plan 2027-2032

Communications

• Lead on the planning, design and publication of annual Egg impact reports, in liaison with The Egg and the Development team.
• Create visually engaging, accurate and compelling materials for promotion and reporting.
• Work with the Marketing Department, in coordination with the Development Team, to create a schedule of Egg Development communications to compliment The Egg marketing.
• Design and execute plans to maintain and grow individual giving to the Wonderfund, in collaboration with the wider Development Team.
• Oversee integrated communications and marketing campaigns related to the Wonderfund and any strategically significant Egg and Engagement work
• Managing freelance professionals in the creation of projects and materials for Egg fundraising where an investment in these services have been agreed within the Egg and TRBs budget.

Data and Impact

• Develop and refine the impact capture and reporting process.
• Gather and share data internally to support project planning and understand progress against the KPIs laid out in the Egg Development Plan.
• Maintain accurate records of all applications, prospects and donor relationships using Spektrix.
• Analyse donor trends and manage fundraising pipeline using Spektrix.
• Provide clear guidance to colleagues on funded project requirements, deadlines and reporting, contributing to the creation of management processes to gather this data, including the Wonderfund and project activity.
• Provide data for use at Board level to support decision-making.
• Manage the collection of all qualitative and quantitative data for reporting purposes to donors, trusts and foundations and service level agreement partners including Bath Spa University.

Partnerships

• Identify local and national partnerships that support the goals of The Egg and Engagement.
• Fostering and maintaining local and national relationships with cultural and education partnerships, to support The Egg’s and Theatre Royal Bath’s goals in its charitable purpose.

General

• Deliver an ethical, legal and appropriate service for Theatre Royal Bath to a high standard.
• Be fully conversant with all Theatre Royal Bath policies.
• Attend Development meetings as required.
• Always abide by the financial coding, management and monetary systems laid down by Theatre Royal Bath’s Finance Department.
• Act always in the best interests of Theatre Royal Bath.

One of the Foundation's Senior Grants Managers is going on maternity leave and so they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grants Manager to join their small, dynamic team.

The Senior Grants Manager will cover a diverse portfolio of charities across the Foundation's key funding areas, with a focus on health (including mental health) and the UK Jewish community. Supporting grantees over a multi-year journey to helping them achieve their goals, the Senior Grants Manager will need to be an excellent relationship-builder, with a strong knowledge of philanthropy, and a dedication to enhancing impact through effective grant-making.

Key responsibilities

• Grant Management & Compliance: Oversee all stages of the grant lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Foundation guidelines, values, and objectives.
• Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with grantees, charities, and non-profit organisations, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor grantee outcomes, assess programme effectiveness, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and board members, highlighting impact and progress.

The Senior Grants Manager will have at least 5 years' experience in grant management, preferably within a philanthropic private foundation, carrying out grant assessments and grant reports. The successful candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills and strong experience of working with a grant management database (Blackbaud). You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely and the ability to think strategically, connecting the dots across a grantee's organisational journey. You will have good relationship building skills and a high level of diplomacy and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in office software packages, including MS Office and Excel and confident working accurately with figures.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player. You will be interested in and committed to contributing to the overall success of a small and highly motivated organisation with a versatile and flexible approach and a "can do" attitude.

The role is based in a modern, vibrant office in Camden on the canal, with 4 days from the office / 1 day from home hybrid policy. About the role 
This role is responsible for leading the relationship fundraising programme in the north, midlands and Scotland. You’ll help to develop and implement strategies to engage new audiences and foster high lifetime value relationships, as well as surprise and delight loyal supporters. 
Uniquely, you’ll help to implement a large-scale pilot to enhance the charity’s presence in key local areas to grow long term sustainable income. New roles in your team will develop portfolios of supporters as well as further grow Tickled Pink, an award-winning partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! which has raised over £100m, by directly supporting colleagues across Asda stores. 

You’ll manage a team of 9 including 3 line reports. You’ll inspire, motivate and coach them to excel in their roles, to help continue the growth that the relationship fundraising team has seen over the last five years. This role is also responsible for the community fundraising operations team, which manage mass market DIY fundraising and deliver key projects.

Sense International are currently recruiting for a Senior Trusts and Fundraising Manager to join their Fundraising team. This 10 month fixed term opportunity will work on hybrid basis from our office in King's Cross, London, working 37.5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will lead in the strategic development and implementation of an ambitious Trusts and Foundations and Corporate fundraising strategy for Sense International that supports income growth and ensures that we deepen our relationships with existing and proactively engage new Trusts and Foundations as well as Corporate partnerships. 

Sense International’s Trusts and Foundations income has grown by over 200% in the last 2 years and this role continues to be integral to our success. Due to the proximity you have to our projects and county teams you will witness first-hand how your work directly impacts the lives of children and young people with deafblindness.

You will also manage a Fundraising Officer that will support in building the Trusts and Foundations portfolio and in particular the newly developing corporate foundations strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• To develop and implement an effective Trusts and Foundations and Corporate fundraising strategy for Sense International as well as yearly operational plans to ensure future income growth.
• To lead on new business leading on focusing on medium to large donors (£100k+) and build strategic relationships that go beyond a simple financial transaction but create long term partnerships.
• Bring together concepts that are innovative and compelling for a trust and corporate audience, working alongside our country teams to support in the development.
• To manage and implement a programme of high quality proposals to Trusts and Foundations and Corporates that are aligned with Sense International’s funding priorities with the aim to secure large multi-year gifts of £100+.
• Provide line management to the Fundraising Officer providing clear and targeted support and development, responsible for managing the wider portfolio of corporate and challenge events, small fundraising appeals and mailings to mid value donors, trusts and corporates.
• To communicate Sense International’s vision and our work on the ground (both verbally and in writing) in a persuasive and knowledgeable manner preparing well targeted proposals, pitches and reports.
• To involve the Sense International Trustees and Executive Team in the process of building relationships with Trusts and Foundations and Corporates and exploring networks to help with new approaches.
• Support in building a Change Makers Circle to include our high value trusts and foundations and corporate partners.

Key skills and experience

• In-depth experience of trusts and foundations fundraising and knowledge of best practise fundraising techniques.
• Experience in identifying and researching trusts and foundations that have the potential to support a specific cause.
• Experience of building excellent senior relationships with trusts and foundations producing cultivation and stewardship plans for new and existing supporters respectively.
• Experience of working with senior Trustees and Executive Team to explore networks to help with new approaches.
• Experience in setting and managing budgets including reforecasting and reporting against targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate passionately and persuasively while communicating complex information in an accessible and convincing format.
• Willing and able to travel internationally to visit programmes and conduct donor visits.

Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely alongside the rest of the team, the Head of Membership holds an integral position within Cobseo, centred around the day-to-day delivery of the membership function. The post-holder is responsible for pro-actively identifying and securing new members, processing membership applications, managing credit control that relates to membership fees, and acting as the primary point of contact for prospective/members and relevant stakeholders.

The Head of Membership will also drive the development of Cobseo’s membership offer, policies and processes via the design and delivery of a new, research-led, evidence-based Membership Strategy, which will include refining the membership criteria and enhancing membership benefits to elevate the value of Cobseo Membership.

The Head of Membership provides leadership to the Cobseo office team and Executive Committee on all membership matters. They leverage their knowledge of the sector and expertise in customer-centric delivery, in order to provide guidance on Membership decisions during Executive Committee meetings, of which the membership applications are a standing agenda item.

The Head of Membership will be the primary liaison for the new CRM/website project, working closely with the Director of Operations and the Head of Communication & Engagement to ensure that the new system is commissioned, launched, and integrated successfully. They will work with external suppliers including routinely with the external bookkeeper, and on a project basis with the CRM provider and CRM implementation partner to ensure value-for-money procurement and effective project delivery.

As a member of the small Cobseo office team, the Head of Membership, along with the other members of the office team, is expected to lean into issues, opportunities, and workstreams that arise, sometimes at short notice and occasionally outside of their own portfolio.

This role is full time (34.5 hours per week) and is office-based in London for at least 2 days per week in order to facilitate positive relationships with the rest of the team and with stakeholders. There is an option for hybrid/homeworking the rest of the week. Some UK travel is required and the post-holder will occasionally be required to work from external sites, such as events’ venues or in order to visit members’ premises. Normal working hours are maintained wherever possible noting that business activity of a membership organisation, including for some events, is held outwith normal office hours.

 The Head of Membership role doesn’t currently have line management responsibility. As the size and shape of the Cobseo office team develops over time, this may change.
