The Role
Lead the planning process for the Trusts and Foundations Team, ensuring that the strategy supports and meets the goals of the wider organisations overall strategic plan.

Facilitate strong relationships with donors and prospects to maximise financial support.

Write and develop persuasive funding proposals which articulate the value, impact and importance of the charity,

The Candidate
Experience of Trust and Foundation fundraising with a proven track record of personally securing five and, ideally, six figure+ grants.

A strong track record and aptitude for high value acquisition.

Extensive experience working with non-fundraising colleagues to strengthen fundraising activity.

Previous Management of staff and/or volunteers.

This is a senior fundraising role within Eikon’s Trusts & Grants team, focused on generating significant voluntary income from charitable trusts, foundations, and local government funders. With an overall team target of £1m, this postholder will contribute around £250k per year through a mix of high-quality applications, strategic account management, and relationship building.

The role requires both strong bid writing skills (especially for complex, high-value and multi-year proposals) and excellent interpersonal skills to develop and steward relationships with funders. As Senior Trust Fundraiser, you will:

• Raise circa £250k annually from a mix of trusts, foundations, and local government grant funders (restricted and unrestricted)
• Lead on developing a portfolio of high-value, multi-year funders, cultivating new prospects and strengthening existing relationships
• Research, write, and submit compelling, tailored proposals and reports
• Work collaboratively with the Grants Lead on strategic bids (e.g. The National Lottery Community Fund, Community Foundation for Surrey)
• Develop an approach for growing unrestricted income
• Actively network across Surrey to identify new leads and opportunities
• Provide excellent account management through regular reporting, funder meetings, and creative stewardship (e.g. site visits, events)
• Manage accurate pipeline and reporting on Donorfy CRM, supporting both team and board-level reporting
• Deputise for the Grants Lead at meetings where required
• Provide peer support to colleagues in the fundraising team

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Proven track record in trusts and foundations fundraising (including complex, high-value proposals)
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information persuasively
• Confident in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders
• Comfortable independently representing Eikon at external meetings and networking events
• Strong organisational and time management skills – able to balance writing, relationship building, and reporting

Reporting into the Head of Lottery and Individual Giving, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the Individual Giving and Legacy programme. You will lead on the planning and delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including print, digital, telephone and more, across a diverse portfolio of regular giving, one-off donations, appeals, payroll giving, in-memory giving and legacies.

· Create and monitor campaign metrics, set targets and analyse performance to inform future activity and maximise opportunities

· Work with the Digital Marketing Team to enhance and maximise the online presence of Individual Giving and Legacy products

· Monitor and respond to attrition trends, implementing strategies to maintain supporter retention

· Communicate plans and activity internally to ensure they are fully understood and supported throughout the organisation

· Test, monitor and evaluate appeals and campaigns to generate actionable insights and inform future strategic planning

· Build strong cross-department relationships across Demelza to support sustainable income generation

Person Specification:

· Proven experience in managing end-to-end fundraising campaigns

· Strong understanding of multi-channel acquisition and retention strategies

· Excellent relationship management skills and interpersonal skills

· Demonstrated ability to analyse performance data and identify trends to inform future activity

· Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organisational and time management skills

· Proficient in using databases to accurately record information, and form insights to guide future activity

Research Manager, Maternity Cover   

Salary: Circa £55,000 plus benefits

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Research Manager to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. This role is an integral role in a dynamic, international team and a fantastic opportunity for a driven and analytical senior researcher to manage the Trust’s philanthropy, prospect and due diligence research.  

We are looking for the successful candidate to start with us in January 2026.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the research strategy of the Global Engagement Team and the delivery of a high quality, in-house research service to the Warden (CEO), Trustees and senior leadership of the Rhodes Trust, in support of fundraising towards the Trust’s 125th Anniversary Campaign goal of £200 million and increased alumni and friends of Rhodes engagement. The role includes line management of two Research Associates.

The role will be responsible for;

· Managing research output to support the GET team mission.

· Managing the delivery of all briefing materials for the Warden’s Office, Trustees and senior leadership team (SLT) to support stakeholder engagement, events and travel.

· Lead tailored research projects for key global regions in co-ordination with GET senior leadership and to support Campaign Committee. Pro-actively identify potential prospects, donors, partners and volunteers for the Trust for inclusion within fundraising pipelines

· Manage a varied portfolio of research resources and processes, including scoping materials, briefings and profiles, reports, network mapping, regional insights/analysis, philanthropic trends/issues, and country-specific content.

· In collaboration with the International & Special Projects Lead (Warden/CEO Office) and GET senior leadership, support the strategy, planning and delivery of all global travel for the Warden and fundraising team, including objectives/goals, itinerary design, identifying engagement opportunities and delivery of all associated research materials.

· Responsible for all in-house due diligence research prepared for the Warden and SLT in respect to risks and sensitivities surrounding donation acceptance, and management of the Trust’s submissions to Oxford University’s Committee to Review Donations as the university’s primary point of contact.

· Role modelling the Trust’s organisational values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth and innovation.

· Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role, as requested.

· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.

Introduction

This new role will work with our Senior Leaders as well as supporting the team to pursue opportunities generated through excellent relationship building across the organisation. What's the role about?

You will lead an exciting new area of philanthropic fundraising at the RSPB, seeking significant gifts for our work from new supporters, with a key focus on our developing Land Fund product.

You will look after your own portfolio of donors and be responsible for fundraising information to advance plans and ensure prospect and donor records are accurate, incorporating any changes, new activities, updated plans, and new information in keeping with data protection and team procedures.

You will work closely with your team and wider organisation colleagues to implement solicitation strategies, to secure financial support either by direct solicitation, preparing a written proposal, or working with senior management to make a solicitation.

You will contribute to the planning of and participate actively in events (face to face and online) to build relationships with donors and prospects for future income and to demonstrate the impact of gifts already received.

You will arrange and attend meetings with individual donors at a variety of venues, including our reserves, working closely with area and reserve colleagues to deliver an excellent experience for our supporters.

You will build effective relationships both within the RSPB and external to it that will enhance its reputation and ultimately secure funding. This includes understanding donors’ wishes and aspirations and identifying links with approved priority projects with the aim of securing substantial gifts.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Intermediate levels of fundraising as demonstrated by work successes and recognised fundraising courses.
• Experience in how to research and cultivate a prospect. And understanding of how to write a cultivation strategy.
• Ability to write funding proposals, reports and updates, and prepare briefing documents in advance of meetings and events.
• Competent in the use of a CRM system (Salesforce), the Microsoft suite, other databases, research tools and methods.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members, and people and teams outside of our department.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Senior Strategic Communications Manager is a pivotal new senior role within the team. You will lead the planning, coordination and strategic oversight of RABI’s national communications, campaign planning, media relations and content production, working with the Senior Digital Communications Manager to develop and deliver a bold new internal and external communications strategy for RABI.

With direct line-management of the PR & Marketing Manager and Events & Engagement Manager, this role combines strategic vision with operational leadership to ensure RABI’s marketing, communications, and presence at shows and corporate events is effective, aligned and impactful. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications to translate organisational priorities into successful campaigns and provide strategic guidance on messaging, brand positioning, external affairs and delivering impactful community engagement initiatives and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Marketing and Communications, Campaigns and Engagement

• Lead the development and implementation of a new integrated communications strategy that amplifies RABI’s brand and maximises reach and impact across multiple channels.
