About you

You will have expertise in driving engagement and awareness across multiple channels, be skilled at producing and commissioning creative content, strong experience in community management and be up-to-date on the latest trends and changes in the social media landscape. Experience of working in the charity sector and a sound understanding of what makes good fundraising content would be a distinct advantage.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in working within the parameters of an established brand whilst driving innovation and maximising creative opportunities. You will be equally at home with the day-to-day management of social media accounts as with working with the Head of Communications and Content to develop and deliver our strategic objectives using data and insights.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.

All roles at the DEC are based in our London office. We operate a hybrid working model, with some non-negotiable office attendance. Please note, during the two-week appeal launch period, staff are required to work extremely long hours, in a faced-paced busy environment, with mandatory office attendance.

The Role:

As Grants Manager, you will play a key role in the operational delivery and day-to-day management of the organisation’s grants portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Grant Operations and working closely with Finance, Programme, and Operations teams, you'll ensure the efficient deployment and monitoring of grants, while serving as a trusted point of contact for grantee organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of active grants and grantee relationships
• Coordinate grant lifecycles, including due diligence, reporting, and payment scheduling

• Ensure high standards of communication and reporting both internally and externally

The National Lottery Community Fund is recruiting for a Communications Manager to play a vital role in the newly restructured communications and engagement function to deliver on our strategy, It Starts With Community. 

The role is part of our ambitious transformation as we implement a significant pivot in our communications approach – building on our support for grant-making to demonstrate the powerful impact communities have in strengthening society and improving lives.

In this role, you’ll deliver integrated communications that bring our missions and the story of National Lottery funding to life. You’ll be the strategic voice behind the campaigns that highlight how communities are creating lasting social change.

You will focus on two key areas - your country, Scotland, and one of the four core missions - creating powerful alignment between them and helping to showcase the impact of community-led projects across the UK.

You’ll work closely with Strategic Communications Leads and other colleagues across the organisation to deliver communications plans that align with our corporate strategy and customer journey. Your work will help shape public understanding of the Fund, build trust with stakeholders, and inspire communities to engage with our funding.

We are looking for a creative and strategic communicator with a passion for storytelling. You’ll be experienced in developing integrated campaigns and working across teams to deliver high-impact communications.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Develop deep insight into at least one portfolio and mission, to enable you to implement effective communications plans for your mission and portfolio, aligned to the corporate plan, and the Fund’s customer journey, including supporting the Strategic Communications Lead to build and manage matrix teams.
• Provide communications support to portfolio and mission leads, including creating messaging, narrative and content, social and brand assets, working closely with colleagues in the wider team to deliver effective and impactful communications activities.
• Build relationships with journalists and lead on devolved media relations activities in your country, working closely with colleagues in the media team to deliver integrated activities, monitoring media and advising on opportunities and risks. Ensure rapid response to emerging issues with processes and protocol on lines to take and spokespeople, including participating in the out of hours on call rota.
• Liaise with colleagues in funding teams to identify opportunities for storytelling, working with the content manager to bring these to life
• Liaise with internal communications colleagues to ensure external communications generate engagement within the Fund
• Project manage and deliver corporate communications assets, including the annual report and corporate strategy updates.

About the role

The Passage’s philanthropy portfolio has grown significantly over the last three years through dedicated relationship management and compelling applications that have brought to life the fantastic work and outcomes achieved by The Passage’s services. A recent audit of our Trusts and Foundations programme identified further opportunities for growth with both newly created and well-established funders.

The Passage’s new three-year strategy, The Art of the Possible, is based around the themes of prevention, convening and sustaining, and highlights the importance of collaboration. The Fundraising, Communications and Trading team are seeking a passionate, articulate, and experienced individual to further enhance and sustain our trusts and foundations income stream so that The Passage can support more people to find a place to call home.

Main duties

• Lead relationships with a portfolio of trusts, foundations, and other grant-making bodies to establish a robust pipeline of sustainable income.
• Provide effective stewardship of existing trust donors and prospects to ensure repeat gifts and to increase support where relevant.
• Create innovative opportunities and develop funding proposals that match funding opportunities to The Passage’s range of services.
• Develop an annual prospect pipeline with the aim of securing sustainable, multi-year income.
• Support the Senior Philanthropy Manager to prepare accurate annual budgets, forecasts, and income phasing.
• Maintain accurate records on the Salesforce database and ensure donor records are compliant.

General responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Manager to join the inhouse Property Team at Barnardo's to manage a portfolio of properties in Central,  South West and Wales.  This is a permanent full-time position which is hybrid ( with access to regional offices) and a requirement to travel to visit properties and meet with internal stakeholders.

ROLE SUMMARY

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and ambitious fundraiser with experience in trusts, foundations and/or corporate fundraising to join upReach as we deliver our three-year strategy (2024–2027). The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of upReach through the development and stewardship of relationships with trusts, foundations, and corporate partners, and by helping secure five and six figure grants and gifts.

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, this role will manage a portfolio of funders and help the wider team to meet income targets. You will work collaboratively across the organisation including the delivery and impact teams, finance, partnerships, and  Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with stakeholders (internal and external)

• Develop and maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with key external contacts, including funders and volunteers.

• Champion and model a culture of outstanding relationship management. 

• Make the fundraising ‘ask’ as and when appropriate.

• Respond promptly to requests for information and action from supporters. 

• Report and disseminate the key issues to emerge from supporter feedback.

Fundraising

• Independently manage a portfolio of charitable trusts & foundations, and corporate supporters, giving at the five and six figure level. Steward these relationships delivering the highest levels of donor care. 

• Research and identify potential new funding opportunities to build the team’s pipeline. 

• Lead on the cultivation of your own pipeline of new funders, working creatively to find opportunities to engage organisations with our work. 

• Develop compelling, comprehensive funding proposals for trusts & foundations and companies, to renew existing partnerships and secure funding from new organisations. 

• Work closely with colleagues in the Data & Impact and Programmes team to prepare and write donor reports and other impact communications. 

• Contribute to the smooth delivery of philanthropic corporate partnerships including employee engagement, staff fundraising activities and volunteering.

• Prepare and thoroughly brief senior colleagues ahead of meetings with potential and existing funders. 

Financial

• Contribute to team fundraising income target (circa £2m) in line with the overarching strategy.

• Help track progress against income targets and report on performance regularly to the fundraising team.

• Contribute to the management of budgets and assist in preparing forecasts and annual plans.

• Flag risks or opportunities that may affect income generation to senior team members.

Team Support and Collaboration

• Manage team members on our graduate programme (rotatees) on fundraising projects as required.

• Play a proactive role in facilitating a positive, collaborative and high-performing fundraising team culture.

• Attend and contribute to regular team meetings and planning sessions.

• Work with teams across the organisation to ensure fundraising plans align with organisational needs and priorities.

Systems and Processes

• Maintain accurate and up to date records on the CRM to enable effective donor, supporter, supplier and volunteer relationship management. 

• Comply with the organisation’s data protection obligations, charity law and other legal requirements.

Other

• Continue to develop fundraising skills and knowledge, including keeping up to date with best practice and sector trends.

• Carry out additional fundraising and administrative tasks as needed to help the team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful, it is anticipated that you will have experience working in a fundraising role within a charity or similar environment. The ideal candidate should display these skills: 

• Significant experience working in a fundraising or similar role within a charity or nonprofit setting, to include writing funding proposals and stewardship reports. 

• Knowledge of high value fundraising techniques including a clear understanding of prospecting, cultivating, securing and managing partnerships.

• Strong communication and storytelling skills, both written and oral, with the ability to turn complex ideas into concise and effective cases for support.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail 

• Able to manage a varied workload and balance conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.

• Confidence working independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Some familiarity with data protection, GDPR and good practice in donor stewardship.

• A desire to learn, grow and develop a career in fundraising.

• A strong alignment with upReach’s mission and a passion for tackling barriers to social mobility.

The Philanthropy Manager will manage a portfolio of major donors giving up to £60k, building meaningful relationships and delivering excellent stewardship. They’ll also help drive new donor activity to grow income and deepen engagement.

Role Overview: In this new role as Fundraising Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy and manage our fundraising portfolio. You will lead the continued development of EAAA’s CRM system, working with stakeholders and our third-party supplier to ensure operational processes and integrations are compliant and fit for purpose.

Delivering up to the minute intelligence derived from the CRM, you will ensure all teams understand their audiences and trends enabling them to create effective supporter journeys and deliver an excellent supporter experience.

You will have significant experience of managing a CRM system in a target driven environment and have a high level of competence across the Microsoft portfolio. Business intelligence experience in a customer focussed setting and competence in using reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is essential.

The CRM is the heart of all our fundraising, financial and supporter engagement activities and is used by all charity staff who are not directly operational; its reliability and accuracy are critical to the charity’s financial sustainability, making this role integral to ensuring the system performs at its best.

This role will involve occasional travel to other EAAA sites across the region so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

The Special Events Officer is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Development department under the High Value Engagement team.  The High Value Engagement team is part of a successful Fundraising team that includes a Community and Challenge Events team, Trusts team, Individual Giving team, and Supporter Services Team. 

You’ll work closely with the Special Events Manager to provide key support so the team achieves agreed fundraising targets and objectives through the delivery of a series of high-quality events and major donor fundraising:.

Lead on key elements of Special Event tasks including sourcing prizes, marketing, liaising with suppliers and thanking supporters.

• Lead on the end-to-end delivery of two annual Special Events in the portfolio including the Clay Pigeon Shoot

• To manage guest lists and guest liaison for all Special Events including recording contact details and dietary requirements. Key areas of responsibility: Special Events

• To lead on all aspects of the planning and implementation of two key special events, including chairing committee meetings and working with them to cultivate attendance sourcing sponsorship, liaising with the venue, organising logistics, managing the expenditure budget & achieving income targets, and all other aspects of event delivery and marketing.

• Work directly with the Digital Marketing Manager to design and administer a new system for thanking event participants to promote long-term support and streamlined stewardship journey

• Provide support to all Special Event committee meetings through attendance and ensuring timely actions are followed up.
