Following the success and growth of the sporting and third-party mass participation portfolio (5% increase in income) over the past two years, we want to ensure we are set up to deliver the future growth ambition that will see Sporting Events income grow from £4m in 25/26, up to £8m in 2033, and are introducing this new role into the team. Sporting Events income at Alzheimer’s Research UK consists of third-party partnerships, Own Place in Event and challenge events, whilst bespoke/owned events sit within Sporting, they do not sit in this part of the team.
The Senior Sporting Manager will play a crucial role in the strategy, planning, delivery and development of all third-party and Own place in Event activity across the charity, leading a Sporting Events team of 10, with direct line management of two Sporting Events Managers.
Reporting into the Head of Sporting Events (HOSE) and working with the wider Supporter Led Fundraising department, this role will put the Alzheimer’s Research UK front of mind with supporters taking on mass fundraising third-party events, and with the third-party events companies themselves, making us charity of choice. The role will work closely with teams across the organisation, particularly the Regional Fundraising Team, Corporate Partnerships, Data, Digital and Marketing.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Support the Head of Sporting Events in the overarching third-party mass participation strategy to deliver ambitious growth between 2025 and 2033
· Lead on all day-to-day delivery of third-party sporting events (FY 25/26- £4.8m income stream): taking lead on Paris Marathon COTY and London Marathon COTY worth £2m
· Work with Head of Sporting Events to identify and pitch for opportunities, and maintain the sporting partnership pipeline
· Support Head of Sporting Events in driving efficiencies in ways of working, spotting opportunities, partnerships development, and sector networking
· Inspire and engage colleagues internally and ensure collaboration on any new opportunities, and cross-sell of campaigns and propositions where relevant e.g. TBH or Dementia Aware education
· Alongside the Insight team and fundraising portfolio team lead on all insight measures including impact and LTV
· Line management of two Sporting Managers
· Manage the day to day running of the wider Sporting Events team, providing clear goals and direction for the two Sporting Managers and the team underneath them (4 Officers, 4 execs)
· Act as second in command for any internal ARUK projects that involve Sporting Events
· Lead on ensuring Project Embed Salesforce works for the Sporting Events team, and processes are logged etc.
· Support the SLF leadership in team in driving forward against F&M goals
· Inspire and engage colleagues internally, delivering internal communications to ensure that Sporting Events activity is alive, understood and actively developed.
What we are looking for:
· Demonstrable and relevant experience working at a senior level in mass participation and third-party sporting events and influencing senior leadership teams.
· Experience in managing budgets exceeding £2m
· Experience managing agencies and suppliers and ensuring all contractual requirements are delivered on time and budget.
· Experience in business development- pitching and working through a pipeline of opportunities
· Demonstrable experience in managing a team of mixed levels to achieve goals and maintain a happy culture
· Experience of analysing and monitoring data in a consumer/supporter environment and utilising outputs to advise and drive forward activity.
· Skills in producing evaluations, reporting on objectives and sharing insights.
· Demonstrable ability to work with a variety of different internal and external stakeholders at all levels
· Willingness to travel throughout the UK and to work event weekends including overnight stays when required

About Us
SOS Rape Crisis (SOSRC) is an independent specialist sexual violence charity providing support for adults (regardless of gender), young people and children who have experienced sexual violence and/or child sexual abuse, in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford.
We are part of Synergy Essex, a partnership of three Rape Crisis Centres (SOSRC, SERICC and CARA), funded by the Office for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex to provide a countywide ISVA service.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team providing vital support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse. As a Navigator Project Worker, you will be the first point of contact for individuals accessing Southend-on-Sea Rape Crisis services. You will offer compassionate, trauma-informed, and needs led support, helping survivors feel heard and understood from the outset. Through careful assessment and informed referrals, you’ll play a key role in connecting survivors with the most appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities

The role of Fundraising Product Officer is an exciting new role within the wider Sporting Events team that will be integral to building on the success of our existing mass fundraising product- Walk For A Cure. This role will help to deliver 50% increase in income over the next and develop our future product innovation pipeline, including a new product that is currently being worked on due to be delivered in December 2025.
The Fundraising Product Officer will play a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of Walk For A Cure, including operations and stewardship.
Reporting into the Fundraising Product Manager, this role will work closely with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and delivery partners to ensure the events are delivered on time and to target by putting in place a robust project plan, working groups, reporting and evaluations and ensuring our processes and procedures are fit for purpose.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Work with Fundraising Product Manager to scope, test, scale or fail new products, via our innovation board
· Oversee deliverables from key agencies and ensure alignment with project objectives.
· Work with ARUK teams such as marketing and design to define roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
· Provide on-the-day event delivery support at all Walk For A Cure events and act as second in command with event delivery companies

Purpose of the post
The Engagement and Involvement Lead will engage with young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study, and is critical for the success of the project. We are at the early stages of laying the foundations for this and in this new role we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to co-ordinate and lead AHS’s cross-UK participant and public involvement and engagement activities.
This is a role that requires high levels of confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the project’s new Engagement and Involvement Strategy, including: establishing and coordinating a Young Persons’ Advisory Group for AHS; developing and delivering AHS public engagement and involvement activities; outsourcing and supervising engagement and involvement activities that are better provided by external partners; scoping and advising on which routes for involvement and engagement activities are best suited to different tasks.
Main responsibilities
Planning & strategy delivery
· Ensuring the study delivers the values and approaches set out in the AHS engagement and involvement strategy
· Planning, delivering and reporting on an ongoing, regular and important programme of engagement events and activities
· Reviewing/revising/adding to existing policies, processes and procedures to support effective working together with people and communities (such as reimbursement, compensation, making reasonable adjustments)
· Developing and implementing appropriate evaluation, monitoring and reporting of Community Engagement & Involvement
· Keeping up to date with good practice & sector advances and sharing these with the AHS team.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential criteria
· Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
· Experience developing and delivering engagement and involvement activities with young people and other relevant interest-holders (such as parents, families, teachers and schools)
· A proven track record or professional background in working with young people – such as in youth work, counselling, mentoring, education, or a related setting
· Understanding and experience of good practice in youth engagement and involvement, including the principles and implementation of safeguarding, data protection, and inclusive practice
· Awareness of culturally sensitive approaches and methods to be inclusive of all relevant perspectives, including marginalised and vulnerable groups
· Experience of successful project management and ability to deliver, working independently.
· Ability to design and deliver workshops, focus groups or meetings that encourage open dialogue and collaboration
· Ability to manage a budget and report on financial activity accurately
· Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, with experience of working alongside and influencing senior level professionals

The Dash Charity is looking for a Refuge IDVA to join its dedicated refuge services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a local domestic abuse charity with a huge influence and reach. For almost 50 years The Dash Charity has been supporting individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse, empowering women, men and children to recognise the tactics of abuse, break the cycle, and take back control of their lives.
We were one of the first charities in the UK to be awarded Leading Lights status for our Advocacy and Outreach Services by SafeLives, and pioneered healthy relationships workshops in schools over a decade ago.
We run three refuges that offer a sanctuary to women and children escaping violence and abuse, offering specialist children’s support and one to one support for women.
Key responsibilities:
• Identify and assess the risks and support needs of refuge clients using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Manage a caseload of clients ensuring each client receives a quality and consistent service and support individual to their needs and risks.
• Support the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them regain control of their lives.
• To ensure that information is shared within data protection guidelines to ensure a co-ordinated approach is taken to understand client need/risk and support appropriately.
• To work in accordance with the Refuge Services Case Management Policy ensuring that all client records and casework are to the required audited standard as per the case management policy.
• To maintain accurate, professional and confidential case management records and databases and ensure all monitoring and evaluation records/tools are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• To understand any grant, funder or contractual requirements pertaining to the funding of the individual post, ensuring data and outcomes are gathered to inform periodic reporting as and when required. To contribute to the preparation of any grant/contract reporting as required.
• Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for victims of domestic abuse.

• Ensure client rents are collected weekly, rent card completed and the Finance team are updated.
• To facilitate monthly resident meetings, complete meeting minutes and any actions arising from the meeting.
• To complete weekly H&S checks and update RST manager accordingly.

As Assistant Director, Communications, you will play a role tackling child sexual abuse alongside the work of our colleagues across practice, research, policy and training. This is important work - the CSA Centre conservatively estimates that one in ten children will experience some form of child sexual abuse before age of 16, and our ambitious programme seeks to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals (social workers, teachers, social workers, nurses etc.) in identifying and responding to child sexual abuse. We have already made great progress, but there is much more to be done – and we need your leadership to help us do it!
Although this contract has a permanent status, CSA Centre roles are subject to funding until 31st March 2026, in line with our current grant funding arrangements. This contract is due to expire on 31st March 2026 however this will be reviewed in late 2025, as future funding for CSA Centre from 2026/27 onwards is confirmed. If this funding is not extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.

CARIS Families is a small frontline charity that offers holistic support to families experiencing homelessness in hostels in the London Boroughs of Camden and Hackney. Amongst our other services, we run play and learning activities for children aged 0-16 from within 4 hostels in these boroughs, as well as a school holiday day trip programme. Our services for children aim to reduce the stress on children and parents of living in overcrowded, insecure accommodation, and to put back essential childhood experiences that homeless accommodation deprives children of.
The services we currently offer our families in hostels are:
- Kids Club: an after-school play club in term time for 0-16s, run from our dedicated play club in the basement of one family hostel in Camden.
- Enrichment Trips and Summer Programme: a series of day trips for groups of families from our 4 hostels in the school holidays. We take part in exciting activities and visit interesting destinations round London and the South-East, to ease the pressures of being stuck in the hostel during the long school breaks.
- Essentials Bank: Our Essentials bank runs weekly in term-time from two of our hostels, offering families free hygiene products such as toiletries, nappies, washing powder etc. to ease the pressure on family finances at a difficult time.
- Family Support Work and Housing Casework: we offer holistic casework to support families to ease the stress of their situation, from working on finances to supporting employment searches, to assisting with legal cases and supporting them to navigate their housing case and move out of homelessness as soon as possible.

Location: White House Community Centre, Hampton and at community locations / homes across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Some home working is also possible in line with Hybrid Working Policy.

Age UK Richmond upon Thames is a local independent charity supporting older people across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. We provide a wide range of useful and well utilised local services in Richmond upon Thames designed to improve wellbeing and enhance independence – including information & advice; a wide range of social & wellbeing centres and sessions; support after hospital discharge; digital skills development; Dementia Friendly Richmond; mental health peer support and home services such as handyperson, housekeeping and gardening. Partnership is a core part of our work – we work in close collaboration with other voluntary sector partners and wider organisations to maximise our impact and reach. Our friendly and committed team of 50 staff and 100+ volunteers support over 4,000 local older people each year.
Our Information & Advice service is a central part of our organisation. Our small team of staff supported by excellent volunteers provide free and confidential Information & Advice to older people across the borough on a range of topics. The main area of support is to claim welfare benefits and other forms of financial support – but also includes a range of other topics such as accessing care & support; independent living; sorting out paperwork and housing.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Welfare Benefits Advisor to join the team. The role will include:

Providing welfare benefits & financial advice, including advising older people on the financial support available, making applications on their behalf and following through applications to result.

Providing Information & Advice on other topics older people require support with.

Providing support via home visits, over the phone and in community settings.
We are looking for:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Manager to join the inhouse Property Team at Barnardo's to manage a portfolio of properties in Central, South West and Wales. This is a permanent full-time position which is hybrid ( with access to regional offices) and a requirement to travel to visit properties and meet with internal stakeholders.

The role is varied and encompasses responsibility for the asset management of a portfolio of properties including acquisitions, rent reviews, lease renewals, lease regears, property disposals and general professional advice on any property related matter. We work closely with our internal stakeholders (Retail, Childrens Services and Residential) to deliver property solutions which enable them to achieve their business objectives.
It is an Essential requirement that the successful candidate will be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and hold a full Driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Ideal Candidate
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- General Practice Surveying background
- Experience with day-to-day Property and Asset Management of a commercial portfolio
- Proven track record of negotiating property transactions .
- Experience of successfully operating in a large, complex, fast paced, and geographically spread property environment.
- Ability to think outside of the box and provide strategic advice on property matters
- Understanding of property market, trends, challenges and emerging legislation.
- Evidence of active continued professional development to support delivery of the role.
