We’re looking for friendly volunteers who can help us maintain ellenor collection pots in the local area. 

Location: Various Locations to be agreed with Line Manager. (Areas may include: Gravesham, Dartford, Bexley, Swanley, Maidstone).
Days: Ad-hoc but collection pots are to be returned to the Hospice every two weeks.
Time: Couple of hours and agreement with Line Manager but dependent on availability of volunteer.

Role

As a Pot Collector and Leaflet Distribution Volunteer, you will play a vital role in maintaining ellenor's donation collection pots in the local area. 

Key tasks may include:

• Collecting replacement pots from ellenor, Gravesend
• Swapping pots with local supporters
• Issuing receipts to supporters
• Seeking potential new locations for donation pots
• Supporting Fundraising Team with collection pot plans

Some key traits you will need as an Donation Pot Collector and Leaflet Distribution Volunteer:

Overview:

• Zero Hour is searching for 2x volunteer Press & Comms Officers to help support grassroots campaigners maximise communication and local press coverage of any progress in their constituency.

• This role will support the existing Grassroots Manager and Political Communications Manager in ensuring that all campaigners have the local support they may require. 

• Volunteer or paid experience working for an environmental NGO or charity is preferable but isn’t essential. What we’re looking for is someone who has experience or understanding of drafting press releases and liaising with local media.
   

Key purpose:

• We’re looking for someone to help Zero Hour support local grassroots campaigners with local press at key milestones in their constituency pages ahead of the general election.

• Tasks include drafting, proofing and supporting distribution of local press releases.

• Support in building local press contacts and relationships that can be utilised at future dates.

• Researching and sharing any press pick up that happens in regions with relevant grassroots campaigners and group chats.

Personal specification: 

• Experience in copywriting, drafting press releases

Main Responsibilities

• Work with communications, other members of the social team and designers to produce high quality, engaging content for a range of audiences

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist who can strategically identify, and post, engaging content for our social media feeds, which will inspire people to support our work with refugees and asylum seekers in Epirus.

In your role, you will interact with our Instagram and Facebook communities to increase engagement, followers and the quality of their experience. You will also identify key influencers and conversations where we can engage to better showcase our work and expand our reach. We have two volunteer houses that can host up to nine people where long-term volunteers are accommodated. Some volunteers choose to rent their own accommodation. In certain periods of the year, demand is extremely high, and the volunteer houses might be full. If you have the means to pay for your own accommodation, please let us know. We would still be happy to host you if space is available. However, in a situation where the volunteer houses are full, this would allow us to offer a volunteering opportunity to someone that cannot afford to pay rent.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to join us on the ground and immerse themselves in our work. Your participation could take on many forms, from support in the education programs to activities in the kindergarten to the delivery of workshops and expeditions with the Youth Scouts – we look forward to hearing your ideas on how best to apply your skills in this context. We're looking for someone to help us with our membership admin, including assembling membership packs, preparing resources for mailings, helping us prepare for membership events and lots more - no admin day will be the same and there is always plenty of tea and coffee on tap and biscuits available!

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one the region’s largest and oldest charities managing over 100 nature reserves and works with many other land managers assisting them to improve wildlife. The Trust works to involve people in nature conservation through events, environmental education and community involvement.

The supporter services team is part of the Fundraising and Engagement Directorate which includes the Membership, Events, Communications and Fundraising team.  As part of their work, the Supporter Services team process all new membership and are looking for a volunteer to help pack our mailing of welcome packs and other post.  Ideally our volunteer will also help keep both our literature and events storeroom tidy.

• Assembling membership welcome packs for new Yorkshire Wildlife Trust members

We are looking to recruit a Communications Volunteer for the Lancaster, Morecambe and District Group. As our Communications Volunteer you’ll make sure people know they have a local MS Society group to turn to.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your writing skills, and gain an experience of communicating across a range of digital channels. 

Time commitment

We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

Ideally you’ll understand the local area and organisations that provide local services.

You will be reliable and easy to contact and you need to live in or near the area the group to carry out this role.

QMC Capoeira School is looking for a Volunteer Sound Engineer who would love to support a community organisation undertake an international martial arts tournament and Brazilian Cultural Festival Project related work to start ASAP and finish mid – late November.

QMC Capoeira is a martial arts school based in London that has been running since 2006, has academy in Canada and the Dominican Republic and is the most awarded Capoeira School in the UK.

The objective of the role is to:

· Assist with audio set-up for commentary station

· Mix levels both on the audio mixer and ATEM Mini so as to get the best broadcast sound possible both from commentary microphones and venue mics

· Advise on best practices to get the best possible audio for the broadcast

The ideal candidate will work in our Kingston office setting up microphones, doing sound checks and audio mixing before livestreams and monitoring and adjusting audio during livestreams.

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Experience with USB microphones

· Experience with multimic setup

· Experience with audio mixing and audio mixing software 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

· Previous broadcast, live streaming, or podcast recording experience

· Knowledge and experience of OBS and use of ATEM Mini.

· Show professionalism at all levels and in all environments 

· Be a strong team player

· Well organized, pro-active, self-starter and able to deliver tasks efficiently.

· Good time-management skills

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.
