The role

Contract:  Permanent - ASAP 

Location:  Remote 

Hours:  Full time (Icebreaker One works a four-day week, Mon-Thurs)

Rate:  Circa £35k 

Team

Reporting to the Head of Sales (currently fulfilled by the account management team), collaborating with the Head of Community and Sales & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator. Work closely with the membership and account management team, programme and project managers. Liaise and collaborate across the business with product, data services and communications. 

Core Responsibilities

• Work with the account management team to identify, target and secure long term government, corporate, and private income from various sources to deliver the team target of £2m

• Support the team in the management of multiple high-level and enterprise client relationships (six-figure contracts) 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders

  • Attend client meetings and take live notes, record actions and send follow up emails summarising the meeting outcomes and next steps

  • Track the delivery of actions with the account management team

• Execute strategic account development plans that align with client goals and objectives, ensuring long-term success

• Ensure the delivery of ongoing multi-year renewals, retention and client satisfaction

  • Tracking contract deadlines and working with the team to ensure renewals are submitted in good time 

  • Collaboration with Data Services, Membership and Communications teams as required for delivery

• CRM maintenance and updating to track pipeline

• Draft and deliver regular status, updates and reports 

Supporting responsibilities 

• Supporting the identification, connecting and recruitment of a diverse range of experts, members and stakeholders to join and participate in our work

• Attend daily stand ups, standing meetings and participate in regular Show & Tells

• Use insight from close engagement with partners to feed back into and evolve internal processes and documents used to support account management

• Supporting the bid team in identifying and inputting into proposals

• Socialise the Icebreaker One constellation (expert network) among teams within strategic partners

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

Demonstrable experience of

• 3-4 years demonstrable experience in a similar role

• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Excellent organisational and analytical skills 

• A proven track record of maintaining clear and ongoing communication with clients, and converting client relationships into contract renewals and new business. 

• A highly collaborative, encouraging approach with the ability to help others understand how to achieve big-picture objectives and goals

• Ability to summarise findings so that they can be understood by non-experts

• Bringing together groups and individuals and uniting them with a common cause—via a range of face-to-face and virtual events, get-togethers, social media and communication forums

Job Purpose

To provide strategic and  operational leadership for the Bexley Mental Health  Hub, which is an integrated service between Mind in Bexley,  Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and London Borough of Bexley Adult Social Care . The postholder will play a key role in supporting three partners to deliver an  integrated service, ensuring alignment, coordination, and high standards across both organisations. They will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and other senior leads to ensure service delivery is safe, effective, and responsive to community needs.

This position requires the ability to deliver results at pace, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. The postholder will manage a team of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring performance, professional development, and wellbeing are prioritised. They will promote continuous improvement, foster collaboration, and oversee scheduling, facilities management, compliance, and adherence to regulations. Progress will be reported through personal representation at key stakeholder meetings. A strong commitment to ensuring the service meets the needs of Bexley residents is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic and Operational Leadership

• Lead the day-to-day operational delivery and continuous development of the Bexley Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, ensuring services are high quality, efficient, and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Provide operational oversight across Oxleas and Mind in Bexley, ensuring integrated pathways and a seamless service user experience.
• Play a key role in supporting two integrated services, promoting effective joint working and service alignment.
• Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist to align clinical leadership with operational priorities and ensure consistent care standards.
• Oversee scheduling of services and resources to ensure timely, effective support across the system.
• Develop links with local community organisations to support delivery of services in these communities
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver results at pace, driving performance and responding quickly to emerging issues.
• Monitor KPIs and contract requirements, report outcomes to senior stakeholders and commissioners, and take corrective action where needed.
• Ensure services reflect local health needs and priorities so that the Hub consistently meets the needs of Bexley residents.

Service Integration and Improvement

• Identify operational efficiencies, challenge outdated practices, and lead service development initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to support integrated care pathways.
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring role clarity, effective communication, and shared accountability.
• Address barriers to collaboration and develop initiatives that enhance joint working and system responsiveness.

Quality Assurance, Governance, and Risk

• Support Clinical Lead with aspects of quality assurance, governance, and risk across both services, embedding safe and robust practices.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety,, clinical governance, and data protection regulations.
• In partnership with Adult Social Care and Oxleas ensure appropriate safeguarding process are in place and followed
• In partnership with Adult Social Care and Oxleas ensure  incidents and complaints are safely managed and responded to appropriately, complete audits and ensure action plans are developed and delivered to improve outcomes, using insights to inform quality improvement.
• Support services to meet all statutory, regulatory, and contract standards.

Workforce Leadership and Development

• Manage a team of clinical and non-clinical staff, including recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and performance management.
• Promote wellbeing, inclusivity, and professional development across all staffing groups.
• Lead the implementation of competency frameworks, staff development plans, and training programmes.
• Provide expert guidance on complex cases, staff issues, and operational decisions.
• Support a positive workplace culture that values learning, accountability, and compassion.

Onboarding and Training

• Develop and deliver structured onboarding for new staff, aligned with organisational policies and best practice.
• Coordinate ongoing learning and reflective practice opportunities across both services.

Performance Management

• Establish measurable goals for staff and services, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback.
• Use coaching and supervision to build capability and confidence within the team.

Supervision and Support

• Offer regular 1:1 supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff, promoting open communication and support.
• Respond to staff concerns in a timely, fair, and supportive manner.

Conflict Resolution

• Address interpersonal or performance issues promptly, using appropriate strategies to resolve tensions.
• Maintain a healthy and productive team dynamic.

• Encourage staff input in service development, innovation, and decision-making.

Workload Management

• Monitor workloads and staffing levels to prevent burnout and support sustainability.
• Implement effective prioritisation and resource allocation strategies.

Communication and Reporting

• Maintain open, consistent communication across the workforce through meetings, briefings, and visible leadership.
• Analyse and present service data for planning, improvement, and commissioner reporting.

Innovation, Evaluation, and Policy Implementation

• Lead the development of evaluation tools and service reviews to track outcomes and drive innovation.
• Translate policy and strategic priorities into operational delivery across both organisations.

General Duties

• Uphold the values and policies of both Oxleas and Mind in Bexley.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and inclusive environments.
• Undertake other duties as required, in line with the role and organisational priorities.
• This role will require agile working across the London Borough of Bexley to attend meetings and be present at clinics and offices where the MH Hub work from.

About Slough Foodbank

Slough Foodbank is a charity whose object is the prevention or relief of poverty in the United Kingdom, mainly in Slough and the surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively by providing emergency food supplies to individuals in need, as motivated by the principles of the Christian Faith.

Slough Foodbank believes that no one in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced, emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. In 2024, we gave out 12,147 food parcels.  Sadly, this is almost double the number in given out in 2020.  In addition to providing food and basic toiletries, we try to understand the situation of the people referred to us so that we can signpost them to other organisations where appropriate, in order to give a helping hand through a crisis.

· Primary contact for our parent organisation, Trussell

· Accountable to the Trustees, who have ultimate accountability for the Foodbank

· Volunteer and employee management

· Ensuring there are sufficient donations of food, toiletries, etc, and also financial donations

· Meeting clients’ needs through managing distribution of food parcels including oversight of the warehouse, distribution centres & signposting

· Recruiting and developing volunteers (and any approved employees)

· Building key external relationships with key referral agencies, local forums and networks

· PR & Communications – representing the foodbank externally, raising the profile of food poverty and lobbying for those in need

ROLE SUMMARY

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and ambitious fundraiser with experience in trusts, foundations and/or corporate fundraising to join upReach as we deliver our three-year strategy (2024–2027). The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of upReach through the development and stewardship of relationships with trusts, foundations, and corporate partners, and by helping secure five and six figure grants and gifts.

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, this role will manage a portfolio of funders and help the wider team to meet income targets. You will work collaboratively across the organisation including the delivery and impact teams, finance, partnerships, and  Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with stakeholders (internal and external)

• Develop and maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with key external contacts, including funders and volunteers.

• Champion and model a culture of outstanding relationship management. 

• Make the fundraising ‘ask’ as and when appropriate.

• Respond promptly to requests for information and action from supporters. 

• Report and disseminate the key issues to emerge from supporter feedback.

Fundraising

• Independently manage a portfolio of charitable trusts & foundations, and corporate supporters, giving at the five and six figure level. Steward these relationships delivering the highest levels of donor care. 

• Research and identify potential new funding opportunities to build the team’s pipeline. 

• Lead on the cultivation of your own pipeline of new funders, working creatively to find opportunities to engage organisations with our work. 

• Develop compelling, comprehensive funding proposals for trusts & foundations and companies, to renew existing partnerships and secure funding from new organisations. 

• Work closely with colleagues in the Data & Impact and Programmes team to prepare and write donor reports and other impact communications. 

• Contribute to the smooth delivery of philanthropic corporate partnerships including employee engagement, staff fundraising activities and volunteering.

• Prepare and thoroughly brief senior colleagues ahead of meetings with potential and existing funders. 

Financial

• Contribute to team fundraising income target (circa £2m) in line with the overarching strategy.

• Help track progress against income targets and report on performance regularly to the fundraising team.

• Contribute to the management of budgets and assist in preparing forecasts and annual plans.

• Flag risks or opportunities that may affect income generation to senior team members.

Team Support and Collaboration

• Manage team members on our graduate programme (rotatees) on fundraising projects as required.

• Play a proactive role in facilitating a positive, collaborative and high-performing fundraising team culture.

• Attend and contribute to regular team meetings and planning sessions.

• Work with teams across the organisation to ensure fundraising plans align with organisational needs and priorities.

Systems and Processes

• Maintain accurate and up to date records on the CRM to enable effective donor, supporter, supplier and volunteer relationship management. 

• Comply with the organisation’s data protection obligations, charity law and other legal requirements.

Other

• Continue to develop fundraising skills and knowledge, including keeping up to date with best practice and sector trends.

• Carry out additional fundraising and administrative tasks as needed to help the team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful, it is anticipated that you will have experience working in a fundraising role within a charity or similar environment. The ideal candidate should display these skills: 

• Significant experience working in a fundraising or similar role within a charity or nonprofit setting, to include writing funding proposals and stewardship reports. 

• Knowledge of high value fundraising techniques including a clear understanding of prospecting, cultivating, securing and managing partnerships.

• Strong communication and storytelling skills, both written and oral, with the ability to turn complex ideas into concise and effective cases for support.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail 

• Able to manage a varied workload and balance conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.

• Confidence working independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Some familiarity with data protection, GDPR and good practice in donor stewardship.

• A desire to learn, grow and develop a career in fundraising.

• A strong alignment with upReach’s mission and a passion for tackling barriers to social mobility.

The Role

In this role, you will support the Director of Finance in providing a proactive, efficient, and highly effective finance service across the Diocesan Board of Finance and Trust custodian company, as well as supporting the larger finance team who look after the Board of Education.

The role will include taking ownership of the budget and forecast for ODBF, running the month-end and reporting process and interacting with Heads of Department and key Diocese clergy in helping to run their day-to-day operations.  The role will also take the lead in managing the tax and statutory reporting, and appropriate training assistance will be made available as required.

You will play a key role within a Finance department totalling 9 staff.  The team have been through a time of change, including the introduction of a system 3 years ago that still requires some input to ensure it is being maximised in usefulness.

About the job

The Area Manager (AM) is responsible for the coordination, management, development, and representation of DRC programming in the North or South of Yemen. S/he will oversee program implementation according to DRC strategies in Yemen and ensure that operations are implemented within DRC’s regulations, procedures, guidelines, and strategy; enable a productive and accountable relationship with beneficiaries, communities’ leaders/representatives, relevant governmental authorities, regional coordination teams (RCTs), sub-national clusters, donors, national and International NGOs and UN Agencies.  The AM is DRC’s primary representative with relevant actors in the area of responsibility; s/he is the line manager for all staff with area responsibilities and s/he is responsible for ensuring a result-oriented team. The incumbent will also ensure a safe environment for DRC staff, beneficiaries and assets through a proactive-acceptance approach using DRC’s security framework. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Representation and Coordination  

• Participate in SMT representing Area of Responsibility (AOR)
• Represents all aspects of programs and operations and has overall accountability for their AOR 
• Act as the primary DRC representative at the area level and actively participate in all relevant fora/meetings
• Foster relationships with Government authorities and other relevant stakeholders in the area of operation
• Develop, implement, and regularly revise a DRC engagement strategy aligned to the National Strategy  
• In coordination with the CD, Head of Program, and Advocacy advisor ensure that the DRC program in the area contributes to DRC´s advocacy efforts, nationally, regionally, and internationally. 
• Maintain close working relationships with donors, national and international organizations, and local counterparts.

Management  

•  Line manages area support and program staff ensuring inter-department co-ordination; 
• Enable an effective team through result-oriented management systems, providing leadership, on-job capacity building and designing staff development strategies.
• Ensure detailed capacity building plan for staff is in place and regularly followed up on;
• Closely coordinate with the senior management team and sector coordinators ensuring regular information flows, adherence to sector strategies, proposal development processes and safety regulations.
• Encourage a positive, innovative, and mutually supportive team spirit amongst the area team.

Programme development  

•  Lead the process of adapting DRC national strategy to the local context and circumstances in coordination with the Head of Programme and Technical Coordinators
• Support in developing DRC’s program in the area of operation and provide technical and context-specific input for fundraising efforts;  
•  Provide regular analysis on the context and humanitarian situation in the area for the development of project proposals and safety assessments.  

Local Partnerships

•  Lead the identification of local partners within AOR for sector-specific interventions
•  In coordination with the Partnerships & Localization unit, support the capacity assessment of partners and the development of tailored capacity building plans
•  Manage local partnerships at field level (within AOR) and ensure follow-up with partners on quality implementation, in line with DRC policies and procedures.

Safety and Security  

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for DRC staff, beneficiaries, and assets by ensuring the local security procedures are up to date and SOPs are being followed in line with the SMP and DRC policy, promoting regular staff training, providing safety and security analysis, recommendations, and follows-ups.

Accountability 

• Ensure overall provision of and adherence to DRC policies, procedures, guidelines, donor regulations, systems and standard practices. 
• Promote compliance with DRC policies and practice with respect to safeguarding, code of conduct, safety and security, anti-harassment, and other relevant policies and procedures.

Operational  

• Provide leadership in overseeing of all logistical/procurement, HR/administration and office services activities and ensure their timely/efficient delivering, including office scale-up/scale-down based on funding and contextual changes.
• Lead on recruitment of senior staff in coordination with SMT, as appropriate.  
• Maintain oversight of narrative and budget development of proposals and concept notes.
• Ensure quality implementation of Core Competency programs ensuring optimal use of financial resources, regular project follow up, reporting, among other tasks. 
• Responsible to ensure Area Office compliance with internal procedures and donor regulations.
• Support the roll-out of new modules and continuous functioning of DRC Dynamics (Enterprise Resource Planning System)

Reporting 

• Comply with internal reporting requirements, contribute to, and provide quality assurance and timeliness of external reports from area of operation; 
• Participate in DRC internal coordination mechanisms (e.g. SMT, Programme meetings, etc.) as required. 
•  Strengthen efforts to document the impact of DRC activities in the area. 
   

About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a large team 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project implementation 
• Experience working in fragile context and insecure environments
• Experience developing and implementing organizational strategy
• Previous experience in Yemen or within the Middle East is considered an asset

Purpose of the post

The Engagement and Involvement Lead will engage with young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study, and is critical for the success of the project.  We are at the early stages of laying the foundations for this and in this new role we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to co-ordinate and lead AHS’s cross-UK participant and public involvement and engagement activities.

This is a role that requires high levels of confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the project’s new Engagement and Involvement Strategy, including:  establishing and coordinating a Young Persons’ Advisory Group for AHS; developing and delivering AHS public engagement and involvement activities; outsourcing and supervising engagement and involvement activities that are better provided by external partners; scoping and advising on which routes for involvement and engagement activities are best suited to different tasks. 

Main responsibilities

Planning & strategy delivery

· Ensuring the study delivers the values and approaches set out in the AHS engagement and involvement strategy

· Planning, delivering and reporting on an ongoing, regular and important programme of engagement events and activities

· Reviewing/revising/adding to existing policies, processes and procedures to support effective working together with people and communities (such as reimbursement, compensation, making reasonable adjustments)

· Developing and implementing appropriate evaluation, monitoring and reporting of Community Engagement & Involvement

· Keeping up to date with good practice & sector advances and sharing these with the AHS team.

Practical engagement and involvement

· Developing methods to enhance engagement and involvement, and helping to build positive relationships with young people and stakeholder groups, including charities, third sector & advocacy groups

· Overseeing day-to-day planning & delivery of a high-quality engagement and involvement programme.  To include, for example:

o Managing and supporting Youth Advisors

o Recruiting and running a standing Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG)

o Organising & delivering other ad hoc engagement activities as necessary

· Securing external partners where necessary, and managing contracts and delivery of their work across the UK

· Ensuring that any external parties (e.g. organisations, freelancers, consultants) supporting AHS’s involvement and engagement work have clear roles, responsibilities & goals

· Working with the Head of Communications to develop and manage provision of relevant information to members of the public, teachers, young people & researchers

· Keep clear records of involvement and engagement activities, ensuring results are used to inform the study and the wider research community.

Team support

• Checking for and capitalising on possible opportunities for engagement and involvement to be embedded in the work of the wider team
• Ensuring appropriate induction, training, mentoring and support is organised for the research team and communities involved
• Sharing examples of emerging good practice and CEI (Community Engagement & Involvement) impact across the research team.

Wider

• Contributing to shared learning and future sustainability as part of wider CEI communities of practice
• Acting as a key point of contact for community members and partners involved in the research
• Representing and presenting the AHS study’s engagement and involvement work to the wider research community at a senior level, including in national engagement & involvement networks as necessary.

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential criteria

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field

· Experience developing and delivering engagement and involvement activities with young people and other relevant interest-holders (such as parents, families, teachers and schools)

· A proven track record or professional background in working with young people – such as in youth work, counselling, mentoring, education, or a related setting

· Understanding and experience of good practice in youth engagement and involvement,  including the principles and implementation of safeguarding, data protection, and inclusive practice

· Awareness of culturally sensitive approaches and methods to be inclusive of all relevant perspectives, including  marginalised and vulnerable groups

· Experience of successful project management and ability to deliver, working independently.

· Ability to design and deliver workshops, focus groups or meetings that encourage open dialogue and collaboration

· Ability to manage a budget and report on financial activity accurately

· Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, with experience of working alongside and influencing senior level professionals

· Research literacy, with a clear understanding of large UK-wide research initiatives and the various competing demands and pressures the study will face

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholders and to summarise and report key information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing

· Demonstrated commitment to youth participation and the meaningful inclusion of young people’s perspectives.
