IntoUniversity and the Royal National Children's SpringBoard Foundation are working in partnership to offer further life-transforming opportunities for IntoUniversity students to attend independent and state boarding schools on fully-funded bursaries.
We are looking for a Boarding Schools Bursary Manager to join our team. The postholder will have responsibility for leading and developing the Boarding Schools Bursary programme in partnership with Royal SpringBoard and will be the principal point of contact for IntoUniversity centres, the bursary students and their families, the boarding schools and Royal SpringBoard.
The successful candidate will quickly gain an understanding and knowledge of the IntoUniversity students recommended for bursary places and will develop relationships of trust with their families to ensure a smooth transition and integration into boarding school.
The role at a glance
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Start date: As soon as possible to be agreed directly with the successful candidate
Location: Frequent travel around the UK is required for this role. Could be based in one of the following IntoUniversity centres: Birmingham, Bradford, Coventry, Leeds, Leicester, London, Manchester, Nottingham
Salary:
£40,800 per annum (including London contribution) for candidates based in London
£38,100 per annum for candidates based outside of London
What will my main duties be?
Programme Management
- To oversee the IntoUniversity Boarding School Bursary Programme including recruitment of potential students and ongoing support of current boarders.
- To prepare the students and their families for Royal SpringBoard and school assessments as well as reparing for boarding school life.
- To plan and/or attend boarding school taster and pastoral visits across the UK.
- To create a calendar of out-of-boarding events and support for students and families to connect to their local centre, including centre visits and community hubs.
- Work with the Safeguarding Team to promote the wellbeing of students and respond to safeguarding concerns (additional training will be provided for this aspect of the role).
- Encourage post-18 alumni to engage with the Royal SpringBoard alumni programmes and the IntoUniversity Student Associate Network
- Ensure Salesforce database records and monitoring requirements are kept up to date.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage the relationship with Royal Springboard, including reporting on KPIs and maintaining communication.
- To build strong relationships and liaise with the host boarding schools and the key staff members such as Houseparents.
- To provide support to parents/carers as needed and manage any issues that may arise sensitively, mediating between the boarding schools, parents/carers and students as necessary.

- To ensure that the ethos, values and culture of the charity are maintained.
- To champion diversity and inclusion in your role at all times, referring to the Diversity and Inclusion Staff Responsibilities Guide and fully supporting with the implementation of the charity’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
- To ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including the Children’s Act, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection, Health & Safety and Working with Vulnerable Groups.
- To undertake any task that may be requested from time to time that may be consistent with the nature and scope of this post.

At Home-Start Barnet, we believe every child deserves the best possible start. We walk alongside families with young children, offering non-judgmental support through life’s toughest times. Now, we’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Family Support Coordinator to join our team.
This role focuses mainly on families living in Brent and Barnet, with children aged under 5. Since the pandemic, there has been a noted decline in the readiness of children in starting school, and there has been a greater identification of neurodivergence and complex additional needs at an early age. For many of our families, this has been even more impactful due to the multiple vulnerability factors that many families are experiencing – many are migrant and transient families, lone parents, those living in poverty, having multiple young children in a single household, with experience of domestic abuse or substance use.

Job Title: Online Engagement and Inclusion Lead (Young People’s Services)

Purpose
This role leads the coordination of Kids’ online engagement and digital inclusion work for young people with SEND, including information provision, participation, and wellbeing support. You will deliver a two-year Online Wellbeing and Resilience Support Programme, including identifying and engaging digitally excluded young people to help them access vital digital tools and services. The role also drives collaboration across the Digital Services Consortium (a collaboration of 12 children’s charities), embedding shared learning, outcome measurement, and inclusive digital practices across Kids, and will create new capacity to work with young people to scope and deploy online campaigning activity.
Responsibilities
- To lead and coordinate Kids’ online engagement and inclusion work for young people with SEND. This includes Kids’ online information provision; voice/ participation and wellbeing work.
- To develop and deliver Kids’ two-year digital inclusion programme, Online Wellbeing and Resilience Support Programme* to ensure reach and impact is maximised.
- To work with the Digital Services Consortium Driving Digital Inclusion members on shared digital project outcome measures and community of practice, ensuring learnings and online engagement and digital inclusion principles are captured, shared and built into the organisation.
- To identify and recruit (working closely with colleagues from services across Kids) digitally excluded young people to the digital inclusion programme so they can become digitally included and access much needed support and guidance.
- To establish a holistic and joined up approach to Young People’s online engagement and digital inclusion with Kids.
- To create new capacity to work across all services and teams, and with a range of young people, to scope and deploy online campaigning capabilities in line with Kids’ Speak Up and wider national and local influencing work.
Key to your success in the role will be:
- Ensuring an audience-led approach, leading and championing an important collaborative way of working across Kids existing young people's services.
- Confidently working within the Kids digital infrastructure and context – understanding where we are at on our digital journey, building excellent problem-solving relationships with marketing, IT, change team and young people’s services colleagues.

*About the funded programme
Kids Online Wellbeing and Resilience Support Programme will help young people with SEND (aged 13 – 25 years) build resilience, positive self-regard and meaningful connections.
Our goal is to reduce isolation and protect mental health through a supportive, inclusive digital environment. We’ll begin by consulting directly with young people to understand what they need most. Together, we’ll co-create new online content and resources that truly reflect their voices and experiences.
What the Programme Offers:
- Online information with resources codesigned with young people with SEND.
- A series of interactive webinars and guided online activities.
- Free devices and data to improve access to those who need it most, plus the support to ensure everyone can participate.
We will reach over 1,800 young people over the two year funded period.

Thanks to National Lottery players, the Digital Services Consortium (DSC) has received over £1.5 million over two years from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK. The DSC has also received a grant of £400,000 from BBC Children in Need for two years to provide digital support for disabled or seriously ill children and young people and their family members across the UK. Virgin Media O2 and Vodafone have generously donated devices and data through the Good Things Foundation National Databank and Device Bank which will help address affordability barriers.
