Herts Young Homeless (hyh) are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic youth engagement worker to join our charity. hyh's strategic aim is to 'Be More Youth Led' and this role is crucial in supporting that commitment. The successful candidate will create open, safe and inclusive spaces for young people, to enable them to form and express their voice on issues that are important to them and to hyh. The youth engagement worker will have the opportunity to inform, develop and grow our youth engagement offer; if successful this may lead to professional development opportunities such as line management of volunteers and staff.
What can you bring to the team?
- Candidates Must have a full clean driving license and use of own vehicle for business purposes
- Co-facilitate annual ‘Youth Summits’; consulting young people from across the county on issues related to the charity/youth homelessness.
- Launch and facilitate a youth advisory board (online and in person). Act as an advocate to deliver key youth board messages to our leadership team and board.
- Co-ordinate work experience and apprenticeship opportunities for young people.
- Organise and co-facilitate social events for our young people.
- Support our young housemates in completing ASDAN qualifications.
- Support the content of our digital communication to young people.
- Complete relevant data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth engagement work.
- Ensure youth engagement and coproduction is considered at all levels of the organisation to ensure decision making is youth informed where appropriate.
- Develop new an innovative ways of involving hyh services users in shaping our services and coproducing our work.
- Ensure good ‘youth voice’ communication across all hyh services, providing updates at service team meetings.
- Co-ordinate young people’s involvement in staff recruitment, training and induction
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with external organisations and professionals.

Our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Service aligns with the Respect Standards – a framework for safe, effective, and survivor-focused work with perpetrators of domestic abuse in the UK. The Intervention Worker will be responsible for delivering sessions (group and one to one as may be required) with people who recognise that they are or have been using power and control to abuse their partner, ex-partner or family member and who want to address this behaviour. The Intervention Worker will undertake such sessions in a way that prioritises the safety of those at risk from domestic violence and abuse.

We are an agile social enterprise looking for a qualified Finance Manager to manage and operate our existing finance and operations function. Working flexibly from home, you will perform a core role in our small, friendly team helping to maintain financial stability and control as we focus on our mission to deliver successful projects across a range of settings globally. About Primary Care International (PCI)
PCI was launched as a social enterprise in 2014. We are a small and friendly ‘virtual’ team comprised of six committed part-time staff and volunteers and supported by a Board of Directors.
PCI provides training, learning and consultancy for healthcare workers in low- and middle-income countries, working in partnership with the WHO, UNHCR, Ministries of Health and NGOs. To date we have worked in more than 20 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Central America in a diverse range of settings with a focus on quality of primary healthcare for all whether in a busy urban setting or a fragile humanitarian or refugee setting.
This role has management & operational responsibility for all finance, HR and office administration processes including budgeting, cashflow, VAT, Payroll, recruitment, insurance, and overall management of our bank accounts and treasury. The Finance Manager will also manage the relationship and coordinate with our outsourced financial service providers.
Whilst you will be well supported by other members of the team and be able to access technical advice and inputs from our non-Executive Finance Director and our Accountants, the role will suit a proactive self-starter who is confident and happy working independently on their own initiative. Purpose of the role
Bookkeeping, invoicing, expenses and treasury
· Main contact with external accountants and manage working relationship with outsourced bookkeepers.
· Act as signatory and be the main contact for PCI bank accounts.
· Manage the bank accounts and provide required information to be updated on Xero by the bookkeepers as appropriate.
· Raise customer invoices on Xero as authorised by the Programmes Team
· Ensure adherence to schedule of delegated authority for different team members for the processing of payments.
· Make international payments via business banking or other platforms as needed.
Payroll
· Manage relationship with outsourced payroll services team and ensure they have the necessary information required to process payroll calculations.
Budgeting, reforecasting, cashflow, ad hoc financial reporting
· Ensure financial integrity by coordinating and monitoring suite of key financial controls.
· Coordinate new financial year budget cycle with input from wider team and summarise for senior management and board review.
· Related ad hoc activities may include performing financial modelling, uprate rolling cashflow for review and the support of project audits.
Statutory accounts & Tax
· Manage relationship with outsourced audit team, and coordinate requirements for production of the organisation’s annual accounts.
· Present final accounts to board for final sign off at annual AGM.
· Fulfil statutory obligations in line with corporation tax requirements for HMRC.
· Ensure compliance with VAT requirements.
Governance
· Leading on the arrangements for Board Meetings including developing the agenda, collating documentation, minute taking and circulation of minutes.
Administration
· Working as a central point of contact through phone and email.
· Supporting the delivery of contracts and letters of agreement in collaboration with the programmes team.
· Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes with the programmes team.
Person criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated finance qualification, ideally ACA/CA or ACCA. Undergrad degree in Accounting with considerable relevant experience will also be considered.
2. Strong experience in all aspects of financial management, accounting and tax.
3. Natural aptitude for financial control & ability to identify areas of process risk.
4. Strong Excel skills.
5. Good communicator with ability to write clear instructions & summarise key messages for non-finance colleagues.
6. Ability to advise & recommend logical actions to senior managers/directors.
7. Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities, remaining calm under pressure, whilst monitoring wider environment for related impact.

Summary of the role:
We are seeking a new Director who will be responsible for working with the Board to:
i) Develop and deliver of DSN-UK's overall strategy and objectives;
ii) Provide strategic leadership to influence the policy and practice of key stakeholders to further DSN’s vision of a ‘world without caste discrimination’;
iii) Lead overall management of DSN-UK, including management of DSN-UK staff, its finances and other resources.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Leadership and strategy
Responsible for implementing DSN-UK’s strategy through specific campaign, lobbying and advocacy activities, including development of key messages and influencing strategies.
Maintaining partnerships and network support within the UK, with partners in South Asia and international partners.
Conducting joint advocacy at UK/EU/UN level, representing these issues at UK Government level and participating in other joint initiatives as appropriate.
Operational Management
Responsible for the day-to-day management of DSN-UK, including key aspects of its internal administration, particularly providing oversight of financial management, annual budgets and the preparation of regular financial and programme reports for the Board.
Fundraising:
Leading the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy for DSN-UK, preparing funding proposals and reporting to donors on project achievements.
Human Resources:
Managing one part time office administrator and appointing other staff, volunteers and consultants in consultation with the Chair.

About the job
We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach. As a Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will provide high quality practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery within a safehouse setting.
You will work as a member of the team providing a safe temporary environment for vulnerable adults who have experienced trauma and exploitation. The role will involve assisting service users with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.
This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on call duties, evenings, weekends and bank. Both roles will work between two properties approx. 4 miles apart on a Rota basis. A full induction and continuous training will be given.
The 30 hour per week post will be shifts from 4pm-10pm, 5 days per week, however, the initial induction will consist of day shifts until knowledge of safe house is comprehensive.
You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and ideally experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens. Relevant social care qualifications or suitable experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person to join our EDI team. This is a new role that aims to support the co-creation of a sustainable EDI training solution that delivers our ambitious strategic plans for improving our working and volunteering culture.
The training will also support behavioural change in both of these communities. Through the creation of safe, brave spaces, you’ll be raising the awareness and knowledge of EDI related topics for both our staff and volunteers.

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead and manage YMCA East Surrey’s Childcare Services including our Early Years provision. If you are committed to make a positive difference in the lives of children - and the staff that support them - we would be delighted to hear from you.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead on service delivery, management and governance
– To provide strong leadership for the service based on a clear vision for the service, clarity of standards and outcomes to be achieved.
– With the Head of CYP support the strategic development, planning and delivery of specialist services for children and families ensuring an effective co-ordinated offer for these families is in place and to develop new childcare settings as appropriate.
– To have the primary responsibility for establishing, maintaining and developing consistent and high standards of professional and managerial competence amongst all staff involved in the delivery of Childcare in line with that of internal policies and procedures and of regulators such as Ofsted.
– To provide line management to the Service Managers and Co-ordinators and work with them to ensure they provide an effective service to children and families in Surrey.
– Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of legislation and national policy and to ensure SLT, CYP management team and the service are briefed on changes. This will include the duties and responsibilities arising from the Children’s Act 2014 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 amongst others.
– To have lead responsibility for ensuring the Childcare operates in a way which safeguards children and is fully compliant with children’s safeguarding procedures.
Manage stakeholder engagement and financial integrity
– Lead on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in conjunction with the Quality and Insight Manager.
– With the Head of Finance and HCYP to produce annual budgets for Childcare services and monitor them to ensure financial viability and appropriate use of charitable resources
– To ensure that key relationships and business processes are in place to improve outcomes for children and families.
– Work with the Development Manager to support the Managers and Co-ordinators to write funding bids and reports for new and existing work
– To ensure childcare services meets both national, local performance and quality indicators in an effective and timely way.
– Ensure all key policies and processes are up to date and fit for purpose.
– Work collaboratively with Quality and Insight Manager to ensure services deliver value for money, within budgets and are evidence based, ensuring that services are rigorously evaluated working with the in terms of quality and outcomes and that they continuously improve and are provided in response to children’s needs.
Training and Development
– Contribute to an in-house training programme for CYP staff and volunteers, which is also offered to all YMCA East Surrey staff and volunteers and key partners
– Manage, and when required, deliver in-house training sessions supported by CYP Managers and Co-ordinators
– Work with the Head of CYP and HR to develop volunteering, apprenticeship, and traineeship opportunities across the department
Provide effective management and support and demonstrate the values and culture of YMCA East Surrey.
– Ensure that all activities demonstrate the values and culture of YMCA East Surrey.
– Work with the Head of CYP/Deputy CEO to support the implementation of YMCA East Surrey strategy and Operational Plan.

We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families. Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.
The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year. The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.
We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service. Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services. We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.
This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. Or you may have a great deal of other experience and understanding of the needs of our clients from other work. We are flexible to develop the right candidate who is passionate about improving the lives of autistic people, people with learning disabilities and their family members.

Respond is entering the last year of our three-year strategy, in which we will continue to be focusing on our psychotherapy service, which is a core part of Respond’s offer as a charity for now thirty-four years. Our mission is to reduce the impact of trauma in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people, by developing trusting relationships, through psychotherapeutically informed services which include advocacy, training and consultation.

As Viva’s Head of Impact, you will work closely with the Network Partnerships Team Leadership to lead the development of a new approach to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with the primary purpose of supporting partner networks to know their impact and share learning with each other.
