About the Role

This is a hands on outreach role supporting young people with care experience as they transition into independent living. You will hold a caseload and work with each young person to build confidence, develop life skills and move towards their personal goals.

Key responsibilities include:

· Completing assessments to identify strengths, needs and goals

· Creating tailored, strengths based support plans

· Working with young people aged 15 and over in their homes and in the community

· Providing practical support with daily living skills, budgeting and managing a tenancy

· Supporting access to education, training, employment or volunteering

· Helping young people apply for benefits and complete forms

· Linking with health, mental health, drug and alcohol and specialist services

· Building positive relationships with housing providers, social workers and partner agencies

· Maintaining accurate records and providing updates at multi agency meetings

• People Management: Manage, motivate, and develop team members through regular 1:1s, appraisals, and professional development plans. Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Plan and allocate work to achieve objectives and service levels.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• ​Reporting & Compliance: Produce regular reports on income, sales, and team performance. Ensure accurate data entry and management in CRM and sales systems. Maintain compliance with charity law, medical device regulations, and internal policies

Working arrangements

This is a fixed contract for six months from start date. Start date is ASAP.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our Birmingham Office (B37 7YE). This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

Currently, the team typically go into the office once a week on Wednesday. 

Working hours are between 09:00am – 07:00pm, subject to business needs. Normal working hours are 09:00am to 05:00pm - Monday to Friday with flexibility to work Saturdays and 11:00am - 07:00pm during peak event season.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Procurement Officer to support the smooth and effective management of Hestia's approved suppliers. In this key role, you will oversee the administration and day-to-day management of our supplier database, act as the first point of contact for managers procuring goods and services, and ensure compliance with Hestia's policies and procedures.

You will carry out first-level supplier approval checks, maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and support the Contracts & Procurement Manager with audits, performance reviews, and market comparisons. Your responsibilities will also include managing supplier documentation, administering supplier portals, distributing monthly reports, and assisting with the mobilisation and demobilisation of Hestia services. You will work closely with corporate suppliers, organise and attend meetings as required, and provide a timely response to any concerns or complaints.

Alongside procurement duties, you will contribute to general administrative functions such as maintaining the Central Services sections, updating landlord and lease databases, supporting contract mobilisations, managing corporate purchase renewals, and providing occasional reception cover.

About the role

The Restart Project is a year into our five year strategy. We have a bold vision, clear finance and communications strategies and an outline fundraising strategy, developed with support from our trustees. Our vision and track-record has helped us to secure a number of multi-year grants, and now is the time to build on this work. 

We’re looking for a driven, organised and creative Fundraising and Partnerships Lead to help us diversify our income, expand our funding relationships, and build on our financial sustainability.  With a focus on generating income from corporate partnerships and Trust and Foundation fundraising, you will also support our efforts to generate income from a diverse range of areas. 

You will build out our pipeline of funding leads, including building and managing new and existing relationships.  Much of this will include securing funding from traditional sources and supporting efforts to boost unrestricted income. 

You will also have the opportunity to be innovative in pursuing funding for the organisation. This will involve working with the Co-Directors and other team members to develop and secure funding for exciting new projects. Responsible for expanding income within an underfunded sector, creativity and drive will be essential characteristics.

Job Description

Fundraising strategy 

• Build on our existing finance strategy and outline funding plan to create a robust fundraising strategy for the next 2-3 years.

• Work with the broader team to achieve the goals and targets set out in the finance strategy to support Restart’s overall operational strategy.

• Develop and manage a 12 month rolling fundraising pipeline, including regular horizon scanning. 

• Work with team members to ensure Restart’s impact is well communicated to potential donors.

• Work with our fundraising committee, a sub group of our trustee board, to help shape our future fundraising strategy.

Corporate partnerships

• Secure income from corporates by boosting Restart’s visibility and increasing the frequency of high value donations.

• Create corporate sponsorship packages to secure income for existing Restart activities or projects, as well as general organisational sponsorship, and pitch them to a pipeline of corporates. 

• Work with the Co-Directors and other staff to develop funded corporate or other partnerships around innovative projects that will support Restart’s strategy.

• Research, pitch and secure opportunities for Charity of the Year affiliations.

• Ensure that partnerships are managed well, with good reporting and value for partners to ensure retention. 

Trusts and Foundations 

• Be responsible for submitting bids, tracking and reporting on outcomes with the support of our Operations and Finance Lead.

• Help broaden our pool of funders, including building and maintaining relationships made through allies, and networking with funds that don’t accept unsolicited proposals.

New sources of income

• Support the team to develop income from other sources. This will include matched crowdfunding, paid events and consultancy. 

• Explore other ways of securing income and funding relationships.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).

The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. Crawley Foyer provides 24-hour supported housing services offering medium levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25 with 38 bedspaces and shared communal facilities. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs, relationship building and wellbeing. Situated in the centre of Crawley, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Crawley Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing:

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team

Coaching and Engagement:

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)

General:

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development

• Monitor and analyse political and policy developments in criminal justice to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Work with service users, staff, and research colleagues to develop evidence-based policy positions.
• Produce high-quality policy briefings, reports, and consultation responses.
• Serve as Nacro’s internal expert on criminal justice policy.
   

Public Affairs & Influencing

• Develop and deliver a public affairs plan that advances Nacro’s influencing objectives.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with parliamentarians, policymakers, and regional decision-makers.
• Attend and represent Nacro at APPGs, parliamentary meetings, and external events.
• Produce parliamentary briefings and contribute to legislative engagement.
• Organise and coordinate parliamentary and stakeholder events that support influencing goals.
• Work collaboratively with partners across the sector to strengthen joint advocacy.
   

Communications & Support

• Provide content for media statements, blogs, and external communications.
• Prepare briefings for senior leaders including the Head of Policy & Public Affairs, Director of Engagement & Impact, and CEO.
• Support wider Nacro campaigns and influencing work as required.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The main purpose of this role is to provide high-quality support and interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention. The postholder will support clients throughout their time in the service, empowering them with the skills to cope independently, while working in line with organisational values, the ethos of recovery, and principles of co-production. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of clients, delivering group activities and programmes, and clearly communicating the aims, objectives, pathways, and service model to enable clients to fully participate in and co-produce their support. The role also involves helping service users engage effectively with community professionals, developing peer support networks and community-based approaches, monitoring the health, wellbeing, and safety of service users, and contributing to the core work of the service. Accurate and timely administration, referrals, assessments, and service reviews are required, alongside participation in supervision, appraisals, training, and team development activities. Flexibility, initiative, and a collaborative approach are essential to ensure effective service delivery and support for both clients and colleagues.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The ideal candidate will have lived experience of mental health care pathways, including emergency department attendance, acute admissions, and community mental health services, alongside a solid understanding of the issues affecting individuals with a range of mental health conditions. They will be able to communicate effectively and provide support with dignity and respect, forming and sustaining trusting relationships with service users, carers, peer support workers, and professionals. Strong listening and verbal communication skills are essential to engage appropriately with service users in crisis, colleagues, and external agencies, both in person and over the phone. Knowledge of recovery tools, local mental health and wellbeing support, and the ability to assess needs, risks, and aspirations to provide appropriate signposting are required. The candidate will demonstrate strong prioritisation, time management, and the ability to work dynamically under pressure. Proficiency in IT, including MS Word, Outlook, and internet functions, as well as good literacy and numeracy skills to produce clear written correspondence, is expected. They will have a sound understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to address them appropriately, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and support the induction of new peer staff and volunteers. Strong communication, partnership building, and interpersonal skills are essential.

When will I be working?

You will be required to work between 5:00pm – 10:00pm on weekdays and 2:00pm – 10:00pm on weekends. Hours are scheduled on a rolling rota, which includes weekends and bank holidays.

About the role

As Director of Finance and Resources and with an oversight of a £15m budget, we are looking for a strong, corporate business leader operating at a senior level to help take Cystic Fibrosis Trust forward on our exciting journey towards a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis and optimising our finance and resources to deliver maximum impact for people with cystic fibrosis.

You will lead and develop a high performing multidisciplinary team of Heads including Finance, IT, Facilities, People and Organisation Development, Strategy and Business Intelligence, Company Secretariat functions as well as work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and other internal and external stakeholders. Please note this is a UK based role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Financial leadership of the Trust’s financial management strategy and statutory reporting and audit processes as well as reporting to our Boards and Committees.
• Digital and information systems: Lead IT and Digital development and implementation strategies, including delivery of the new CRM replacement going live in 2026 (MS Dynamics).
• People and Organisation Development: Lead best practice in our people management strategies, policies and practices as well as championing diversity and inclusion and staff learning and development.
• Business planning: Support organisational business planning and strategy development working closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees and our other internal and external stakeholders including people with cystic fibrosis.

To be the right person for this role, the requirements you will need to meet include:

• To be a qualified accountant (CCAB recognised or equivalent) with minimum five years post‑qualification experience and ongoing CPD. 
• Successful experience in a business leadership role to operate at a Director/Board level and as a senior leadership team member. 
• Experience of developing effective short and long term business and financial strategies.
• Managing complex budgets, financial modelling and projections.
• Experience of directing, leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams.

Customer Care & Investor Support

To work with a range of statutory and third sector individuals and organisations to maximise the support, resources and opportunities available for clients to take action to respond to the problems they face.
