About Us
Founded in 1997, GamCare is one of the leading providers of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
The role
This is a great time to join GamCare as we are growing the reach of our services. We are looking for Gambling Support Practitioners with qualifications or experience in health or social care, and an empathic style to enable people to change their behaviour through skilled intervention.
Crucially, you will ensure that psychosocial, and recovery support interventions are delivered as part of a cohesive recovery plan while working collaboratively with external and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes for service users.
There will be lots of opportunity to participate in service promotion, networking activities and events to support the visibility of the service, as well as developing relationships with local services and communities to strengthen pathways into the service.
We are looking for an individual to work full-time which will currently include 4 days 9-5pm and 1 day 12-8pm per week (fixed), Monday to Friday.
About you
You should have significant experience in individual client work in the field of addictions, mental health or a social care setting with adults or young people. You should be flexible in using a range of low and high-intensity interventions and modalities including cognitive behavioural tools.
You will be expected to be able to work from home thereby having the space for a confidential setting whilst also being able to travel within the region to attend events and offer localised in person support as required.

We’re looking for an organised and driven Regional Fundraiser to join the Poppyscotland team, focusing on the West of Scotland for 6 months on a fixed term contract. This role is all about building strong local relationships with individuals, businesses, councils and volunteers and helping turn that support into successful fundraising activities. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Poppy Appeal, running regional events, and making sure our supporters feel valued and well looked after.
Poppyscotland provides life-changing support to our Armed Forces community which includes those who have served, those still serving, and their families. At times of crisis and need we offer them vital advice, assistance and funding.
You’ll manage a wide range of activity, from local Poppy Days and community events, to volunteer engagement and helping supporters take part in national fundraising initiatives. Whether you’re working with local organisers, setting up collections at transport hubs, or developing partnerships with businesses, you’ll help make sure everything runs efficiently, meets targets, and feels rewarding for everyone involved.
We’re looking for someone who’s confident working on their own, enjoys meeting new people, and can juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail. You’ll need to be happy working flexibly this isn’t a 9–5 office job and confident travelling across your region to meet supporters and attend events. A full UK driving licence is essential.

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to join the team at Poppyscotland on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who’s organised, good with people, and interested in building experience across a wide range of fundraising activity. You’ll be supporting both the Events and Regional Fundraising teams, helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and on the day at events.

From answering supporter enquiries and preparing materials, to updating systems, managing stock and helping with income processing, your day-to-day work will be varied and busy. You’ll also help support people who are raising money for us whether they’re doing something on their own, taking part in one of our events, or joining a national campaign. You’ll be a key point of contact, helping them feel supported and appreciated throughout their journey.
There’s also an admin side to the role, including maintaining accurate records, producing thank you letters, raising purchase orders and working with the Finance team to make sure everything is up to date. Attention to detail and a confident approach to using systems like Excel, Outlook and databases will be important.
You don’t need to have done it all before we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to manage their time well. A full UK driving licence is essential as occasional travel will be part of the job.
