The role
As Events and Community Officer, you will be working in the Enterprise Hub team. The Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub supports talented entrepreneurs and decision makers to transform breakthrough engineering innovations into disruptive spinouts, startups and scaleups.
Our entrepreneurs benefit from the prestigious national and global network of the Academy’s Fellows and experts. We have delivered 10 years of success, enabling our members to form a powerful, thriving, and supportive community of over 350 innovators. We run four programmes at multiple stages, from ideation to scaleup, for entrepreneurial engineers at different career points. Thanks to our charitable status, we don’t take equity, fees or IP.
The role will be to support, curate and deliver opportunities for a community of UK’s brightest engineering and technology entrepreneurs and business leaders (startups and scale-ups) to enable them to advance their entrepreneurial journeys and to provide them with opportunities to flourish. In joining the Enterprise Hub, the individual will work to support delivery of an ambitious programme of community engagement activities including monthly ecosystem meetups in London, developing new activities for our co-working space and for our communities, supporting our regional teams with the development (and possible delivery) of events, and helping to strengthen our alumni support.

We are seeking an outstanding individual to join us as an Events and Community Officer as part of the Enterprise Hub Ecosystem team. Location
Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. The Data Insights Analyst will ensure that Advance is able to accurately measure the effectiveness and impact of Advance’s programming and communicate and report on this effectively to both internal stakeholders – including managers and Trustees – and external stakeholders like commissioners and funders. This will involve developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing systems and processes to measure impact and meet stakeholders’ changing needs; training and supporting staff in these systems; preparing and writing reports; championing best practice around monitoring and evaluation; and supporting management as required. This is a role that is focused on handling large data sets and translating the data into a narrative that amplifies the voices of the women we support. About You:
To be successful in this role:
You will bring good understanding of the Theory of Change (ToC) approach, logical frameworks, MEL plan development and other key MEL approaches/methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative, and ideally including participatory methodologies. You will have sound knowledge and experience to interpret, analyse and document results from charity Programmes in writing through a variety of publications, including donor reports and guidelines/toolkits in a clear and succinct manner. You will have experience of working with highly sensitive data, and excellent and proven analytical skills working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including advanced skills on excel, and case management systems. Bringing a successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and managers, plus developing networks and partnerships.

Overview
The National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT) has embarked on a new exciting five-year strategy – ‘Becoming Seamlessly Inclusive 2023-2028’. To help us on this journey, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Trust’s ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’, a key role within our organisation. Role of the Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer:
1. Overall
1.1 To support and develop the volunteer and work placement programmes.
1.2 To practically support two of our trainees with neurodiversity.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 To oversee the volunteer programme with support from the Head of Programmes.
2.2 To manage the ‘access to work’ programmes.
2.3 To act as a work coach to the trainees, helping them deliver their work plans.
2.4 To support the ‘Learning Manager and Collections Engagement Officer’ with the provision of volunteers for their programmes of work.

3. Meetings and reporting
3.1 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’will be employed by the National Paralympic Heritage Trust and be responsible to the Board of Trustees.
3.2 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’ will report to, be managed and supported by the ‘Head of Programmes’.
3.3 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer will have monthly meetings with the ‘Head of Programmes reporting on progress and raising any areas of concern.

5.1 The proposed fee is £25,000 a year pro-rata - three days a week (24 hours).

- Act as first point of contact for Finance enquiries, both internally and externally
