If you have experience of working with volunteers, this is a superb opportunity to take on a challenging, yet highly rewarding role.

In this important position, you will have the chance to broaden your existing abilities and facilitate the success of services that are transforming lives on a daily basis.

As an Inclusion Officer, you will ensure that our Looking Out for Older People programme is delivered to an exceptional standard across the central Barnsley area.

This service is geared towards developing greater inclusion of older people within the Barnsley area. You will work with older people across the community to increase their activity within their community.

Supporting the Inclusion Co-ordinator, you will ensure that the service is delivered effectively and will take responsibility for increased inclusivity amongst older people in Barnsley.

Additionally, your role will include:

- Developing a range of additional services to meet the needs of older people
- Reporting on the progress of the service

Interested? To be considered, you will need:

- Experience in a community-based service environment
- Previous experience of working with volunteers and supporting and motivating them on a daily basis
- Experience of handling personal information and the legal requirements of this
- Knowledge of volunteering and voluntary services
- An understanding of ageing and the issues affecting older people
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and case management systems

Adaptable and flexible, as an Inclusion Officer, you will be a clear communicator with excellent multi-tasking skills. A team player mentality and strong prioritisation abilities are also key.

A full driving licence would be beneficial to your application.
