Key Roles and Duties

In this exciting role you will be responsible for raising unrestricted income from individuals by planning and executing the day-to-day campaigns to recruit, engage and retain supporters through a range of channels.

More specifically this will include:

Strategic Planning and Implementation

Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate strategies to:

• Increase individual gifts through enhancing the donor journey.
• Boost the monthly giving 'thrive fund' programme.
• Develop new individual giving campaigns with a focus on direct marketing across various channels.

Donor Data Analysis and Segmentation

Analyse and segment the supporter base to develop targeted supporter journeys and ask strategies, using donor data from our CRM (Salesforce) to:

• Maximise the lifetime value of donors.
• Ensure effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.

Stewardship and Donor Engagement

Manage donor stewardship to provide personalised and engaging communications, including:

• Producing supporter materials.
• Building a thanking programme that offers a personal and engaging donor experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues to identify individual stories for impactful campaign content.
• Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM system.
• Maximise gift aid opportunities.

Campaign and Material Management

Work closely with the Communications Manager to:

• Create campaigns.
• Generate publicity opportunities e.g. radio, newspaper, online etc.
• Engage ambassadors and campaign specific ambassadors.
• Collect and draft beautiful stories, testimonies and case studies that engage supporters.
• Manage the production of supporter materials.
• Assist in developing Mailchimp email marketing and analyse and evaluate user journeys to maximise impact.

 Innovation and Market Trends

Lead the charge in:

• Coming up with new ideas and initiatives to bolster individual giving.
• Managing a continuous cycle of testing for new channels and techniques for acquisition and retention, based on audience insight and sector trends.

 General:

• Collaborate and communicate well with team members and particularly line manager. 
• We are a small dynamic team; the post holder will work over many areas offering lots of opportunity to work with staff in different departments and learn about the different aspects of charity.
• To recruit and manage interns and volunteers to support your work.

Role Requirements

We are looking for the right person to join the team – this could be someone with experience or someone who is willing to learn and has a strong transferrable skill set.

You will have:

• Effective campaign copy writing and ability to translate ideas into design briefs.
•  A minimum level of skill in graphic design (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva). 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences in friendly and welcoming way in keeping with WONDER’s approach to empowerment. 
• A commitment to WONDER Foundation’s vision, mission and approach.

Desirable skills and experience:

•  Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention. 
• Experience of project management to deliver acquisition or retention campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Experience of using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns.
• Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection, Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards across the UK.
• Language skills in Spanish or French (key languages of our overseas partners).

Our fundraising team is made up of passionate people dedicated to making BCUK’s mission a reality, so we can prevent even more people from getting Breast Cancer. Fundraising income has grown significantly over the last few years thanks to a talented staff team, and we have an ambitious strategy to grow this income even further.  

Working with agencies, including a digital mobilisation agency, The Senior Individual Giving Officer will be responsible for leading growing our individual donor and supporter base and delivering an excellent supporter experience.   

You’ll need to be a digital native with experience in building digital-focused approached to supporter acquisition and development.

The MEAM coalition has worked for fifteen years across more than 50 local areas in England, supporting local partnerships to tackle the structural and systemic issues that cause and sustain multiple disadvantage. We run the national MEAM Approach network, supported Fulfilling Lives from 2014-2022 and hold the current support contract for the Government and The National Lottery Community Fund’s Changing Futures programme. Kinship care begins in crisis. A child whose parents are unable to care for them, for whatever reason. It’s frightening, confusing and heart-breaking. Instinctively, a loved one steps in – a grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or family friend. They are now a kinship carer, bringing up the children they love. It’s life changing and challenging raising children who’ve been hurt or neglected, but kinship carers do it anyway because they put the children first. 

Kinship have been awarded funding from the Department for Education to deliver the first ever national training programme to support kinship carers in their caring role. We are at the start of that journey.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site. 

In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.

• Providing highly effective project management and administrative support to the training programme, including supplier communication, coordinating programme logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks, e.g. scheduling meetings, providing agendas, writing briefings, minute-taking, monitoring expenditure and organising events, training and workshops.

• Proven experience in event planning and management. You will need previous experience being responsible for organising large events (over 50 people). 
• Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems and processes that enable team effectiveness. You will need a minimum of 1 year’s administration experience.

The role is within a small team that has a focus on Employer Relationships, Job Finding programmes (including our Alumni Job Club and Jobseekers Plus) In Work support for adults in Employment and Employer Training.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. To lead on running our employability training and Alumni Job Club.

2. To develop workshop structures and learning materials for these in close collaboration with the Development Director and ensure that participant feedback from earlier programmes is incorporated.

3. To line manage Development Job Coaches as needed.

4. To manage and deliver job search sessions.

5. To lease with Employability Lead when participants are ready to move over in In Work Support team.

6. To advertise project opportunities to autistic people throughout London and manage project recruitment and onboarding.

7. To ensure processes are in-place for each project to:- assess each participant’s individual skills and gather baseline data; ensure job matches are appropriate to the individual’s needs and aspirations; and that targets set are relevant and promote new skills and learning; acquire and complete necessary risk assessments to ensure safety of clients, staff and partners.

8. To oversee the set up and settling in of jobseekers into work placements, when needed. Providing support and training to employers where required; providing personalised on the job training to participants and employers as required and develop strategies and advise on reasonable adjustments.

9. To coach, train and help manage new project staff to support jobseekers and put in place monitoring protocols.

10.  To ensure jobseekers are progressing towards their individual targets; understand protocols and interpret work culture correctly; understand the health & safety in the work environment and adopt appropriate workplace behaviour.

11.  To ensure good working relationships are maintained with all employers/ work experience placements and that feedback is regularly sort from all stakeholders to help improve our service delivery and future opportunities.

12.  As a key member of the Development Team to work closely with the Development Director to actively, engage with employers and external organisations to promote CareTrade and our job seekers and to pursue opportunities to work collaboratively.

13.  To attend events, to market CareTrade to autistic jobseekers and to liaise with Disability Employment Advisors at JobCentre Plus, Disability Services teams, Social Workers and others to promote and support employment opportunities as needed.

14.  To organise and promote social groups for jobseekers.

15.  To collect data and use data analysis to help produce reports, internally, for funders and partners.

16.   To help seek and apply for appropriate awards and grants when required.

17.  To be a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)  and First Aider and complete regular training working alongside the Development Director to ensure the safety of participants and staff.

18.  To complete relevant health and safety training and be a named fire marshal.

About the Youth Endowment Fund 

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. 

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.

This role and why it’s important 

It's critical to our mission that we understand how and why young people become involved in violence. The YEF’s work combines conducting rigorous evaluations and research studies with hearing directly from young people. It is also important to us that young people are central to the messages we share externally.

Your role involves ensuring that young people’s perspectives are heard and integrated into our work. This includes supporting our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and helping young people’s voices play a central part in YEFs external communications.

This role also supports the wider team managing grants, contracts and providing general team support.

Key responsibilities: 

1. Youth Advisory Board support: 

• Plan engaging activities for YAB meetings and events. These activities require working some evenings and occasional weekends. 

• Provide support and pastoral care to YAB members, including personal development planning and safeguarding.

• Help recruit YAB members (young people aged 16 –25) through interviews and managing recruitment. 

• Develop and schedule the YAB induction programme for new members. 

• Monitor attendance and engagement of YAB members. 

• Coordinate YAB attendance at external events. 

2. Facilitating Youth Voice in communications: 

• Act as a bridge between the YAB and our external communications team. 

• Work with the communications team to amplify young people's voices on social media. 

• Assist young people in sharing their views and stories through various communication methods. 

3. Managing grants and contracts: 

• Maintain records of payments and tasks using Salesforce. 

• Assist stakeholders and team members in using Salesforce effectively. 

• Support in procurement processes and grant management by organising documents and scheduling meetings. 

• Proactively identify and address issues. 

4. Collaboration and support: 

• Work closely with other roles (including our Operations and Culture team) within YEF to ensure coordinated efforts and sharing of best practices.

About you

We’re looking for a highly talented Media or senior communications professional who can take our media relations to the next level and develop lasting relationships with journalists to tell the best possible story about CARE’s global impact with UK and international audiences.

You’ll bring high levels of creativity and energy to opportunity spotting, securing opinion pieces, expert comment as well as develop fresh strategies and media angles for annual campaigns and fundraising moments.

The successful candidate will prove they have a track record of building successful working relationships with national and international journalists, be experienced in digital communications to ensure we have the greatest reach and impact, and be able to provide detailed media evaluations, insights and learning reports that guide future media engagement. You will have excellent written communication skills with the ability to present complex issues in a persuasive, accessible style to a range of different audiences. You will also have strong advocacy skills and the ability to build influential relationships with senior stakeholders.

BRAC’s office in Europe provides vital support for BRAC’s development work around the world through fundraising and communications, building impactful, long-term relationships with partners, whether they be foundations, companies, Governments or major donors. BRAC office in Europe also plays a key role in engaging with and influencing policymakers and practitioners to tackle extreme poverty across Europe.

The Foundations Officer will work as part of the Partnerships team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts, foundations and corporates. The Foundations Officer plays a pivotal role in advancing BRAC’s mission by stewarding partnerships with philanthropic and corporate foundations and creating new business opportunities to deliver on BRAC’s mission.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Chief Executive, the post-holder will lead on all aspects of development, marketing and fundraising, and people/HR development; maintaining high level relationships with donors and prospective donors and maximising opportunities to secure new sources of income from individuals, companies and charitable trusts, as well as improving our internal comms.

We are looking for someone who has experience working in collaborative environments to meet organisational goals and build and manage relationships. We are looking to recruit a talented and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join us in June 2024 on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Development, this role is essential to driving forward the implementation of Creative United’s business development plans across multiple programme and project strands. Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children a hope and a future. We are looking for a well-organised, relational leader who is passionate about the way TLG enables local churches across the UK to get alongside struggling families in their communities. The Church Relationships Lead will work as part of the national Volunteer Programmes (VP) Team, reporting to the Early Intervention Network Support Manager and collaborating with staff responsible for programme training and development.

This is an exciting time to join our growing VP team to support an increasing number of churches who have chosen to partner with TLG through running the Early Intervention (EI) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting EI Coordinators to effectively run their centres, as well as training new EI coach teams.

Our role is to sustain a thriving British furnishing industry with a talented workforce delivering high quality products, which supports those in need from within its ranks and those who have served it in the past. We are seeking an organised and driven individual for a maternity cover to lead on our education and training programme, which is facilitating the growth of a talented workforce by inspiring, connecting and retaining the next generation. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to make a real impact, addressing the skills gap in the industry, working alongside young people.

This is a varied role with a significant focus on events and project management, including special events, as well as engagement activities to raise awareness of career opportunities in the industry. This includes driving forward our new 'My Furniture Career' website aimed at 15 – 24-year-olds and attending careers fairs. This role will also involve working with specialist education providers to support the provision of industry specific education and training.

A successful applicant will have demonstratable experience of organising and delivering large scale events, timely and cost-effective project management and financial reporting. You will be able to work independently and with a high level of attention to detail and used to prioritising a complex workload. Experience of working in the sector or in a previous educational role is not required.

Key Responsibilities

Events

• Young Furniture Makers Exhibition - To plan, organise and deliver the annual one-day exhibition showcasing the best new talent to industry. Securing event sponsorship and working with sponsors during the organisation process to ensure positive relationships. Working with over 70 exhibitors, multiple sponsors and external suppliers to ensure a successful event.
• Young Professional Industry Engagement event programme - To plan, organise and deliver the annual three-week programme of CPD visits for a selected group of participants to industry hosts across the UK. Working with participants and over 20 organisations to schedule and deliver the programme.
• Furniture Making T-Level conference – Working with the Chair of the Education and Training Committee and selected members to plan, organise and implement a one-day conference on the practicalities of overing the Furniture T-Level in an educational setting.
• Organise and attend several regional career fairs and trade shows to promote the education and training initiatives and encourage young people to consider a career in furniture and furnishings.
• Plan and organise the content of an Education and Training slot at the annual Furniture Makers’ HR Conference to highlight key events and programmes.
• Ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion is considered in all aspects of Education and Training events.

Grants

• Administer a small annual grants scheme supporting colleges and universities which provide specialist furniture and furnishing education courses.
• Manage a travel bursary scheme to support exhibitors attending the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition.

Website

• Administer the jobs board featured on the My Furniture Career website, screening and approving posted vacancies as well as liaising with those posting jobs to confirm the status of the vacancy, sharing data once the vacancy expires and collecting feedback data from the poster.
• To work with the Digital Officer to agree a schedule of content for the website and its associated social media.
• Work with the Communications Manager and Digital Officer to promote the use of the website by the targeted audience group as well as the HR community to post vacancies to the jobs board.
• Produce a quarterly report detailing the usage and any highlights regarding the website.
• Report any technical issues to the website provider and liaise with them to fix the issue.

Reporting

• Quarterly reporting on activity and budget to the Education and Training Committee.
• Supporting the Committee Chair by setting up Committee meetings and taking minutes.
• Supporting the Committee Chair with any other administration as necessary related to the Committee. 
• Assist with any ad hoc administration as necessary related to the FIESTA Committee.

Miscellaneous

• Assisting the Education and Training Committee Chair with any administration in regard to the Masters Certificate Scheme.
• Send quarterly feedback surveys mentoring participants and collect the data for reporting purposes.
• Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to promote Education and Training events.
• Keep the Education and Training budget up to date and process all invoices in a timely manner.
