Hadleigh Training Centre has been providing training opportunities since 1990 for adults with additional support needs. There are currently approximately 160 trainees who attend the training centre, following personalised pathways to meet a range of outcomes. All training is designed to maximise progression opportunities, whether this be in particular vocational skills, or transferable life skills such as motivation, self-esteem and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
The Training Centre Assistant Manager will be responsible for understanding and actively monitoring all contractual and other relevant compliance requirements of all trainee funded placements. You will also be required to act as lead on the development and implementation of systems and processes to ensure these contractual requirements are met and recorded. This will include developing guidance materials and delivering training as required in order to support the HTC team. You will oversee operational monitoring of expenditure and income against the agreed set HTC budget and provide regular reporting on financial performance.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- A passion for developing and delivering transformative training programmes, with strong previous experience of having worked successfully in a similar role supporting the learning of adults with additional support needs.
- Strong previous experience of successfully delivering training programmes ensuring all contractual requirements are fully met.
- A strong understanding of adult social care funding streams, with demonstrable strong ability to monitor expenditure against budgets, and deliver accurate and timely financial reporting as required.
- Demonstrable strong experience of successfully leading and managing staff, including recruitment, development and performance management

What does this mean day to day?
- You’ll spend time listening to what’s emerging in communities, building trust with partners, and making sense of how insight, decisions, and action travel across the system.
- You’ll support our governance groups, coordinating agendas, shaping recommendations, and helping hold people gently but clearly to account for the things they’ve committed to.
- You’ll track where energy is building, where its leaking, and where attention needs to shift. That means spotting patterns, asking difficult questions, and making sure conversations lead to decisions, and decisions lead to change.
- You’ll need to hold contradictions without forcing resolution: where different truths exist at once, where progress creates new tensions, and where outcomes are unclear. Critical thinking is key; this role is as much about reflection and challenge as it is about delivery.
- Some days you’ll be co-designing a development session. Other days, you’ll be reflecting on what’s working, what’s drifting, and how we bring things back into focus. You’ll be supported by a small team who care about doing this work well, with clarity, kindness, and a shared sense of purpose.

About the role
During a period of transition and transformation at NCVO, we’re looking for a strategic leader to join our communications, campaigns and marketing function. This fixed term role would help support the interim Director of Voice and Impact stabilise new teams and evolve and innovate our thinking in two key areas: creative content and marketing.
We want to ensure that we support our members, and the wider sector, as best we can – helping them get the most out of their membership, help them access our support and services and amplify the impact of the voluntary sector for the better.

This is an exciting new role for an enthusiastic and innovative professional seeking to further their career in the training and youth development field. Established in 2010, Beating Time is an award-winning charity operating across the UK, from two offices in London and Birmingham. We help people survive a prison sentence and thrive after release, ultimately to reduce their chances of reoffending. We run two continuous programmes: Choirs Beating Time, running weekly prison choirs and songwriting groups, and Inside Job, which uses a peer-led employment model to help people through release and into paid work. We have sung with thousands of people, directly supported 700+ people into employment, influenced policy and partnered with many high-profile organisations.
The role
We’re hiring for an enthusia9stic, organised and self-motivated Fundraising and Communications Officer to join us in London (Woolwich) or Bimingham (Digbeth). We’re looking for someone with an interest in the criminal justice system, strong knowledge of fundraising (particularly for small charities) and communications expertise.
This role is an opportunity to shape how we present ourselves to funders and supporters and maintain long-term partnerships with them. You will play an active role in determining our future fundraising strategy while meeting the day-to-day demands of keeping a small charity afloat. You’ll contribute to our efforts to diversify income streams by securing support from corporates and other partners – this requires an ability to think creatively and strategically.
An advantage of doing this work in a small team is you’ll be able to see the direct effect of your work on how we deliver Choirs Beating Time and Inside Job, often in practice during prison visits. You’ll work closely with senior management to stay on top of budgets and cashflow to inform your fundraising decisions and grow a culture of income awareness across the charity.
Communications play an important role in maintaining relationships with funders and stakeholders. We want to keep up a strong, involved presence on LinkedIn, while contributing to sector-wide advocacy, and boosting visibility through online and in-person events. An important part of our comms strategy is conveying our impact; you will also prepare regular impact reports for internal and external use.
What we’re looking for
- Excellent writing and editing skills – your day-to-day tasks will involve writing grant applications and reports to new and existing funders (majority trusts and foundations). You will collate and write quarterly newsletters, circulated to funders, partner organisations, supporters and our employer network.
- Fundraising expertise – you will research and identify potential funders/corporate sponsorship to feed into the prospect pipeline. You will also develop and maintain a database to keep track of new/existing/past funders and monitor fundraising impact.
- Strong organisational skills – previous experience working or volunteering with a small charity is a plus. You will often be working to deadlines and need to be able to plan ahead and organise your schedule accordingly. Your role as part of the central team will include taking minutes at weekly meetings, liaising with prisons and freelance musical directors, and actively reaching out to government and sector bodies where necessary. You’ll be able to multitask effectively and be highly organised with very strong attention to detail.
- Interest in the criminal justice system – we are active members of the criminal justice third sector, championing people with lived experience (especially within our own team). You may be asked to attend sector-wide events, participate in roundtables, and contribute to reports.
- Solid knowledge of social media management – you will use Canva and other resources to design and post on our accounts, particularly LinkedIn. Posts might include internal updates (e.g. new hires, staff milestones), reactions to sector events (e.g. our response to the Sentencing Review), news about our employer partners, and beneficiary case studies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to: Rector
Hours: Up to 18 hours per week (0.52 FTE at 35 hours per week) with occasional evening events or meetings. Core working hours are 9.30am-3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

PURPOSE
The Communications Lead will develop and optimise each communications channel so that the churches of St Matthew and St Paul connect well with each other and the wider community.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Rector and other clergy and staff, the Communications Lead is responsible for the following:
1. Strategy & planning
- With the Rector, prepare and implement an annual communications plan around key events and special services for the parish
- Maintain and develop the parish’s visual branding and style
2. Communications channels
- Oversee the generation of content for each channel, edit content produced by others for accuracy and appropriateness, and produce content, as required
- Website – develop the website to optimise its usefulness [NB a new website design is underway]
- Weekly Email – produce the weekly Mailchimp email
- Social Media – maintain and grow audiences on Facebook and Instagram; schedule content using Meta business suite
- Magazine – create a fun and informative printed magazine in-house three times a year (currently done using Canva)
- Video – record a weekly video message with one of the clergy, for use in the weekly email; produce other videos as and when required
- Youtube – manage the parish’s Youtube channel
- Produce materials and promote services and events across key periods in the church’s calendar (e.g. Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter), through printed and online channels
- Promote the parish’s outreach groups and events (e.g. Coffee Pot, Bumps & Babies, Have a Meal on Us and Community Day), through printed and online channels
- Produce other printed materials as necessary (e.g. leaflets, posters, flyers and roller banners), in keeping with our branding
- Photography – take pictures when required, adhering to the parish’s safeguarding and consent policies; organise church volunteers to capture images when necessary
3. Other responsibilities
- Staff the church office on Tuesdays and Thursdays (e.g. answering calls and questions from volunteers and/or people hiring the hall).
- Liaise, as necessary, with the diocesan and cathedral communications teams
- Complete all necessary training and comply fully with all safeguarding, health & safety and risk management procedures
- Attend meetings as indicated by the Rector
- Other duties commensurate with the role, as may be required

About the Role:
Here at Construction Youth Trust, we're on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who are excited to learn and ready to dive into a supported internship. This is a fantastic chance to get a hands-on feel for what it's like to work in the charity sector. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider development of the Trust e.g. participation in strategic working or Task & Finish groups.
We are particularly looking for individuals at the start of their career interested in working directly with young people within our Delivery Team
As a Delivery Team Intern, your key duties and responsibilities could include:
· Supporting the team to deliver fun and engaging programmes and activities for young people to get them ready for the working world by building on their skills and confidence.
· Supporting the team in the development of effective long-term working relationships with schools and referral partners.
· Supporting the team to enlist, manage and coordinate the support of local industry partners to connect young people with opportunities and employers that match their unique strengths and interests.
· Supporting the team with administrative tasks, helping to register, monitor, and evaluate the young people participating in programmes and activities.
· Please note that you will be required to travel across London regularly
About You
What we’re looking for in our new Intern(s) includes:
· Ideally educated to Level 3 (BTEC, A- Level, etc) or equivalent experience.
· Enthusiastic about connecting young people to opportunities, particularly those facing significant barriers to work.
· Have a ‘can-do’ attitude, as our Intern you will be expected to get involved in a variety of our programmes and activities.
· IT literate and digitally savvy
· Ability to communicate professionally with a range of people including young people, schools, funders, universities, industry representatives, training providers and community organisations.
· A willingness to learn about career opportunities offered by the modern construction and wider built environment sector.

Reporting into the Director of Operations, you will lead the delivery of The Fore’s grant rounds, which are the core engine of our impact. You’ll oversee our Programme Team and pool of Strategic Applicant Consultants (SACs) and will make sure the strongest proposals reach our funding panels. The role is a key part in achieving our goal of getting the most innovative solutions from grassroots to nationwide impact.
You’ll drive our workshops and peer learning programme, enabling small charities to develop the skills and networks to take their solutions to the next level. You will also take forward newer strategic initiatives, including our scale-up funding rounds and the launch of high-profile charity showcases that connect our most impactful organisations with government, funders and policy influencers.
Alongside this, you’ll own our impact and learning work, ensuring we capture and communicate the difference our work makes. Key responsibilities
- Grant-making: Lead the end-to-end delivery of our core funding and scale-up programmes, from shaping programme design to ensuring the strongest applications reach our funding panels. You’ll keep the process running smoothly, support and steer our SACs, and maintain a strong focus on quality and impact. This includes oversight of our Salesforce grants system, working with specialised contractors to ensure it supports effective delivery.
- Strategic Applicant Consultants (SACs): Lead the recruitment, training, support and retention of our SAC pool, making sure they’re equipped, motivated and connected. You’ll foster a strong sense of community and shared purpose across this talented group.
- Impact and monitoring: Lead The Fore’s impact and monitoring work, including producing our annual impact report and sector insights, and commissioning external contractors for deeper analysis when needed. You’ll also ensure our portfolio is on track to deliver its plans, and support organisations to adapt and thrive when challenges arise.
- Charity showcases: Spearhead our new high-profile showcase events, connecting outstanding small charities with policymakers, funders and influencers.

Candidate profile
Skills and experience:
- 7+ years of professional experience in the business, public or third sector
- Strong project or programme management track record, with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams and deadlines
- Experience managing volunteers and/or direct reports
- Skilled at engaging a wide range of stakeholders and adapting communication style as needed
- Experience working in or with small charities or social enterprises is a bonus, but not essential. We’re looking for transferable skills and a clear commitment to social impact

- Excellent attention to detail, especially when coordinating multiple inputs and deliverables
