Purpose of the Role

The Public Experience Producer will play a key role in growing and diversifying audiences by delivering innovative, high-quality, and engaging programmes, events, and interpretation. These experiences will reflect the unique stories of the SS Great Britain (SSGB), draw on new research, respond to community relevance, and align with wider trends in the visitor economy. The key objective of this post is to increase footfall, generate new revenue, and strengthen SSGB’s reputation as a leader in the cultural and heritage landscape while continuing to deliver a high-quality experience across all visitor touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver dynamic cultural and educational programming including events, workshops, festivals and experiences across the year.
• Programme and coordinate talks, tours, and collaborations such as BI Talks and guest speaker events.
• Manage and develop living history experiences, including training for interpreters and volunteers, storytelling performances and scripts.
• Collaborate with the Estates and Operations team to maintain high standards of visitor experience, including upkeep of digital exhibits, interactive elements, and sensory features.
• Work with Brunel Institute to ensure core interpretation elements are produced to a high standard and accessible for all audiences.
• Work closely with Learning and Community teams to ensure inclusive and accessible programming.
• Contribute to evaluation, reporting, and communications support for public programmes.
• Draft and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, artists, and performers.
• Coordinate event logistics including set-up, technical support, and volunteer involvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing creative ideas for visitor-focused programmes, including storytelling, activities, set dressing, and live interpretation.
• Selecting and working with entertainers, artists, re-enactors, and volunteers to support the public programme.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure programmes meet creative and strategic goals.
• Identifying and developing themes, characters, and stories for public engagement.
• Liaising with communities to actively diversify audiences and ensure relevance.
• Managing projects from conception to evaluation, including writing briefs, setting deadlines, and delivering outcomes.
• Ensuring our core interpretation offer is delivered to a high standard and constantly improving in line with visitor experience trends and advancements.
• Overseeing and training our cohort or costumed volunteers.

The Restart Project helps people transform their relationship with electronics by supporting groups to teach repair at community events, developing fixing spaces and campaigning for a Right to Repair and better waste policy. We are looking for a strong project manager to be our new Fixing Factory Co-Lead.

What is a Fixing Factory? Fixing Factories do what they say on the tin! We help people fix their broken electricals and learn new fixing skills, shifting us from our current take-make-waste linear system towards a repair economy fit for the future. They generate public interest in repair. Through a series of stepping stone activities, we take people from never having looked inside an electrical item towards, if they wish, fixing for others. 

The Fixing Factories is a partnership between The Restart Project and Possible, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. It launched in April 2022 with two initial sites in Brent (now closed) and Camden. After the initial development grant we secured funding to continue the Camden site, and open and mature three additional sites in London, including one which has already opened in Hackney, with a proportion of our focus being on long-term financial self-sustainability and scaling the model across the UK. The Restart Project is leading on the delivery of two sites, one in Hackney and another future London location (4th site), whilst Possible lead on the established Fixing Factory in Camden and an upcoming Haringey site.

Each new Fixing Factory site will grow and nurture a community of repairers, be strongly linked with local residents and stakeholders, and be driven by engaged teams of volunteers. There will be a range of offers; from free community repair events to paid workshops and retail - as we develop a replicable model which will support our long term goal of ‘a Fixing Factory in every high street’. 

About the role

The focus of this role will be overseeing the Hackney Fixing Factory, launching a 4th site (subject to funding), and working with existing repair group communities, the council, and other partners in those areas. You will be bringing to life an already developed business model, ensuring that the Fixing Factories are run in a safe, effective and financially sustainable way, as well as responding to the needs of the community and continuing to strategically develop the Fixing Factories programme.

You will be working with the Fixing Factory workshop managers, who are responsible for day to day operations at the sites, ensuring income generation targets are being met, driving the development of our accredited skills and training programme with support from consultants and ensuring the Fixing Factories are scalable and replicable. 

Key responsibilities

This role involves a combination of strategic development of the overarching Fixing Factories project, on which you’ll work closely with a counterpart at Possible, oversight of the two sites that Restart is responsible for and the workshop managers that manage their day to day operations.

About the role

For 50 years, Kidney Care UK has been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease. From our early days when we campaigned to introduce donor cards in the UK, we have worked hard to support and represent the interests of everyone affected by kidney disease.

We are looking for a passionate, talented Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our ambitious, successful Fundraising team that has been growing non-legacy income 34% year-on-year since 2021 as we approach our new 5 year fundraising strategy.

This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, securing significant gifts and growing the long-term potential of this portfolio (target for this 12 months period is £378,000). There are no direct reports, however the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Senior Management Teams, other departments and stakeholders to build and develop cases for support to help fund our much-needed work.

The successful candidate will utilise their expert writing skills to shape those cases for support into compelling, high-quality proposals and reports.

Building relationships with a wide range of audiences including funders is key. Inspiring them to support kidney patients across the UK and engage with the kidney community, enabling them to tell their stories and better communicate how larger trust grants can make a real difference for people with chronic kidney disease.

A dynamic, self-motivated, ambitious and pro-active fundraiser is required for this role, demonstrating enthusiasm for the projects and services we are seeking funds to support.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and a proven track record of successful income generation and delivering against targets.

You will have demonstratable experience in researching potential Trust funders, submitting compelling proposals, securing funding and project managing successful bids through to completion of the grant award.

You will also have a background in report writing and demonstrating grant impact whilst being able to build relationships with funders, individual/major donors and senior stakeholders.

Experience of providing excellent supporter care, building mutually beneficial long-term relationships with funders is a must for this role.

Key responsibilities

Research and process management

• Work closely with our Director of Patient Support Services (Patient Grants, Hospital Grants, Advocacy and Counselling) to fully understand our work, and with our Director of Finance to fully understand the costs of delivering our work
• Build strong cases for support, ensuring that you have all the information needed to create compelling proposals and reports for high and mid-value funders
• Research and identify prospective trusts and foundations and other grant giving bodies
• Grow and maintain a strong trust funding pipeline, creating new trust prospects for our priority funding areas
• Develop our long-term trusts and foundations strategy, and agree ongoing budgets and targets for this income stream
• Maintain accurate records including tracking and analysing opportunities, results, and outcomes

Fundraising 

• Identify and manage a pipeline of high-value prospects and opportunities which have the potential to deliver five- and six-figure grants
• Work with colleagues across Kidney Care UK to develop and submit high-value and high-quality trust and foundation bids for a range of short, medium and long term projects
• Develop relationships with the Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders across the charity maximising every opportunity for cultivation and development
• Champion ways of working with the kidney community to enhance your fundraising approaches
• Plan and organise opportunities for funders to view Kidney Care UK’s work first-hand, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed and met

Reporting 

• Compile comprehensive and compelling progress reports to feed back to grant makers in a timely fashion and incentivise continued support
• Alongside the Director of Finance prepare accurate budgets detailing spending of specific grants
• Draw down on any multi-year grants as outlined in our annual budget
• Provide briefing notes and income pipeline on donor activities and potential funding opportunities

Office – Moreton in Marsh

Cotswold Friends is a local charity based in Moreton-in-Marsh, which for over 45 years has been providing Community Transport, Befriending, Carer Wellbeing and Community Activities to older and vulnerable people in the Cotswolds. We aim to combat loneliness and isolation. Our voluntary services improve health and wellbeing and support independent living.  We currently support over 2,300 people with 340 amazing volunteers.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop the Marketing function for an established and well-respected local charity.  As the Marketing Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and be supported by a Marketing Co-ordinator working 12 hours per week and a team of Marketing volunteers.  Your role will involve:

• Development and implementation of Marketing strategy and plans, informed by research and data analysis, to support the charity in the achievement of short and long-term objectives

• Development and implementation of campaign strategy and plans for volunteer recruitment, charity and service awareness and fundraising. 

• Working to tell our stories – in this role you will spend time out and about across the Cotswolds, following our services in action and developing case studies that demonstrate the positive impact of our work

Specifically, you will manage:

· Brand development and awareness

· Cotswold Friends website content

· Social media campaigns and channels

· Regular newsletter production

· Development and distribution of press releases to key target press

· Design and production of print materials

· Charity mailings

· Print distribution to ensure effective area coverage

· Production of marketing and communication materials for events

· Production of film and photography

· Events management

· Delegation and management of Marketing support work to a team of Marketing volunteers

· Stakeholder communications

· Ongoing development of in-house materials to support volunteers and clients

· GDPR requirements as the Charity’s Data Protection Officer (training given)

The successful candidate will:

· Hold a Marketing qualification and 2 years of management experience in a Marketing role

· Have the enthusiasm and drive to grow Charity awareness using new ideas and initiatives

· Provide evidence of development and implementation of strategic Marketing plans

· Be proficient in the management of digital marketing/social media/email campaigns

· Have excellent creative writing skills to develop marketing content

· Have Press/PR and events management experience

· Have experience of in-house design packages such as Canva

· Be proficient with website management and Content Management Systems

· Understand GDPR requirements and the importance of data protection

Camden Art Centre is seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our dynamic Development Department. This part time role has responsibility for researching and preparing written applications to UK or international grant-giving trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, public-sector or other statutory funders and grant-making bodies. 

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years proven experience of raising funds from trusts and other grant makers, from smaller more project focussed grants to larger programmatic, core and/or capital grants. They will be able to work independently and be comfortable working towards ambitious income targets, as well as work closely with members of the programme and development team to plan and execute high quality and timely applications that support our long-term artistic and charitable aims.

Job Title: Field Care Supervisor 

Location: South East London. The role is around 70% based within the community visiting participants and staff, then some home working and central office days in Islington as required. Kindly be aware that step free access is not available at our central office, and some of our other services. 

Salary: £28,200 - Full time Equivalent

Shift Pattern: Fixed term contract till March with the potential for extension, 30 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a flexible rota between 08:00 - 20:00, including working on bank holidays and outside these hours as per service requirements.

About the role

We are looking for a Field Supervisor to lead a team who are dedicated and focused to providing support to our participants within the community. We provide person centred care and support to our participants within the community, homes, and residential properties. We support vulnerable adults to live more independently, offering friendly outreach that helps with housing, daily living, and building self reliance.

In this role, you'll:

• Be supporting the establishment of supporting staff and participants, doing assessments, working with partners, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly by carrying out quality checks.
• Line manage, lead and support your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager and Deputy Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service. Delivering the highest standards of quality, performance, and improvements across your service.
• Be responsible for ensuring full contract and regulatory compliance is completed, and support the Service Manager in the implementation and delivery of service monitoring and development
• Ensure Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Manage contract and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required. 

About you

We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our participants, and can support the team in delivering excellence. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!

• Ability to lead a team to achieve service KPI's
• Flexible and capable of commuting throughout London for client appointments and MDT meetings.
• Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team on all aspects of the service such as participant related enquiries which can include housing management.
• Ability to promote the service externally to enhance reputation across London and with partner organisations
• Willingness and ability to work flexibly to meet service needs
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system
