Are you looking to apply your administrative skills in a role that truly makes a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Access Assistant and Driver based near Stevenage, although the role benefits from hybrid working, networking and local travel will be required in a professional setting.
In this role, you’ll support a visually impaired Guide Dogs Employee and Guide Dog owner, helping them perform their duties effectively through a mix of remote and in-person support. In-person support will be required once or twice a week locally in Stevenage involving tasks such as providing sighted guidance to navigate unfamiliar environments, helping with access to systems on a laptop, or describing the layout of rooms at events.
Your Microsoft Office expertise will be put to great use as you assist with a variety of administrative tasks, including document formatting, PowerPoint presentations, and note-taking. Your eye for detail will ensure that all documents are clear, accessible, and well-organised.
You’ll also help with travel arrangements as and when required, including collecting the employee and their guide dog from home and going to a train station or providing a travel from their home to various Guide Dogs sites. A full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle are essential, equipment to allow the guide dog in the car will be provided and travel expenses are covered. You’ll provide sighted guidance, ensuring the employee can navigate unfamiliar environments with confidence. As the employee is a Guide Dog owner, being comfortable with dogs and helping with their care, such as exercise, will be part of the role as well.
Your excellent communication skills and person-centred approach will be key in building a close, trusting relationship with the employee. Flexibility will also be crucial, as you’ll need to adapt to changing tasks and demands.
This role requires the ability to work under pressure and take initiative, managing your workload efficiently. Whether assisting with travel, preparing documents, or providing sighted guidance, your proactive attitude and organisational skills will be key to your success.
You will be fully trained in tasks such as sighted guiding and how to work confidently around a Guide Dog, ensuring that you feel supported and equipped, even if you haven’t had experience in this space before. We are committed to making sure you feel comfortable and encouraged in this unique role.
The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Occasional flexibility will be required to work outside of core hours, including weekends and overnight stays.

The Head of Communications and Campaigns will lead Voice 21's communication, campaigns and events functions, bringing strategic vision, expertise and enthusiasm to play an integral role in ensuring all children, regardless of their background, have the oracy skills they need to thrive in school, work and life.
Contract: Permanent role
Salary: £47,362 to £50,981 plus £312 annual working from home allowance.
Location: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Some travel is expected, both to the organisation's London office and elsewhere for meetings, around once a month. Voice 21 pays all travel and accommodation expenses.

As Head of Communications and Campaigns, your core responsibilities will include:
- Set the vision for Communications and Campaigns across the organisation, supporting the organisation's ambitions to expand system-wide understanding of a high-quality oracy education
- Amplify Voice 21's reputation and standing in the sector, positioning Voice 21 as the 'oracy authority' through insightful, thought-provoking communications
- Work closely with the Head of Learning to ensure effective communication of the impact Voice 21's work is having in schools across the UK
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to develop key messages for audiences, including both education and non-education stakeholders
- Lead on the refinement and maintenance of Voice 21's brand, including visual identity and tone of voice
- Lead on the management of Voice 21's external channels, including website and social media

- Work closely with the Campaign Manager to oversee Voice 21's annual campaigns, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives

We'd love to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Proven leadership within either Communications or Campaigns, with a strong understanding of both
- Solid experience in the development of compelling and strategic key messages in education, public sector or non-profit settings
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation and target-setting regarding communications and campaigns
- Proven track record of writing to a high standard for external publication, such as reports, press releases, op-eds and blog posts
- Experience leading or supporting cross-functional teams
- Able to form excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The Role

The Communications Officer will play a critical role in contributing to and delivering The Phoenix Way’s communications
objectives. They will increase public awareness of the challenges faced by Black and Global Majority communities,

Increase Public Awareness

Your purpose

We are excited to share an opportunity to join Refuge as an Eastern European Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) as we enter an important new chapter of growth, supported by funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This is a vital role which provides high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children in the community.
You will be part of a highly skilled and supportive team committed to collaborative working and continuous learning. This role offers the chance to strengthen multi-agency partnerships to enhance outreach and support for survivors, while also contributing to increasing professional understanding of the specific needs of Eastern European women and children affected by domestic abuse and violence.
You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across three London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities.
It is essential for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You’ll collaborate across ActionAid UK, the international federation, and with partners worldwide to influence key decision-makers, from Whitehall to the UN. You’ll also act as a voice for ActionAid in public forums and the media, making sure the issues that matter to women and girls in crisis situations are impossible to ignore. The role calls for someone with deep knowledge of gender equality and humanitarian systems, experience in policy analysis and research, and strong networks within the women’s rights and humanitarian communities. You’ll be comfortable navigating both UK and international policy spaces, and you’ll bring excellent communication skills that make complex issues clear and compelling.

About the Role
We are looking for a Part Time Training Support Assistant with strong organisational and administrative skills.
The Training Support Assistant will be part of Become’s Training Team who provide courses for professionals who work alongside care-experienced young people. Clients include local authorities, fostering agencies, supported accommodation providers, universities etc.
The team is currently made up of the Head of Training & Development, a full time and a part time Training Officer and a part time Training Support Assistant and we are expanding to provide full time coverage of the assistant role. The two members of the Training Support Assistant Team will work closely alongside one another in order to provide administrative support for the wider Training Team. Collectively the Assistants will be responsible for tasks relating to the coordination and promotion of Become’s training and consultancy offer.
The role involves significant liaison with external client organisations to ensure a smooth client journey and internal liaison with Become’s Accounts Team and the Communications Team.

- overseeing invoicing processes including completing supplier set up forms with client organisations, requesting purchase order numbers, liaising with our accounts team to raise invoices, monitoring payments

This is a part-time role (21 hours per week). We ask that you’re available on Thursdays and Fridays, but beyond that, we’re happy to discuss a working pattern that fits well with your life and commitments.
Location
We are currently hybrid working: our team primarily works from home. In-person attendance at some meetings will be expected approximately once every two months, usually at our central hot-desking location in Old Street, London. This would be agreed on a monthly basis with the manager. For non-London based staff we will consider hot-desking options near you, if required. Additionally, as a charity providing services to England Become covers the cost of travel within England for essential in-person meetings. ActionAid UK (AAUK) is a complex, values- driven organisation which is implementing an exciting new 2025-2028 strategy with one overarching goal:

Alongside the strategy, a transformation and innovation programme will embed a fundamental shift in the way the organisation operates, involving significant and sustainable changes to its culture, systems and practises. A priority is to change the way we currently approach monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) at an organisational level, looking specifically at how we assess change and impact across our yearly organisational plans and within the four-year strategy.
AAUK is seeking a qualified consultant or a company to collaboratively design, develop and deliver a new approach to capturing change and impact at ActionAid UK, moving the organisation away from traditional types of metrics and methods.
We are looking for you to conduct a light-touch review of our current organisational methods and tools and develop a new organisational transformative change framework, training workshop and action plan. We would like this consultancy to:
- Develop an approach to capturing transformative change and impact over time which captures gradual/incremental or exponential changes.
- Capture systematic changes and shifts in thinking and behaviour/culture
- Enable staff to feel confident to gather and interpret evidence of change alongside diverse experiences including their own
- Enable AAUK to capture collective contributions to change, recognising that no single action or individual makes change happen.
- Help us use the information we gather to inform and improve our work and better understand our unique role within the complex ecosystem of organisations and partnerships in which we work.
Objectives of the assignment
- Review and support the transformation of our organisational monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes to align with our new strategy and decolonial approach.
- Develop an organisational transformative change framework/toolkit and action plan, enabling staff to confidently capture impact over time and foster a culture of innovation, learning and accountability across the organisation.
Deliverables
The consultant / firm will work in collaboration with colleagues from AAUK Leadership and Transformation teams to:
- Create a plan and methodology that is aligned to our strategic objectives, decolonial approach and transformation activities.
- Conduct a light-touch process review, including desk research and conversations with key members of staff – to understand our current organisational monitoring and reporting processes, methods and tools.
- Develop a new Transformative Change organisational framework/toolkit which includes methods and tools for measuring change at organisational and team level and establishes a baseline from which we can improve and which captures both successes and challenges.
- Develop a staff training workshop on the new framework and tools.
- Provide a workplan with future recommendations and actions.

The successful consultant/firm should demonstrate:
- At least 5 years of experience working on MEAL system design and implementation in the INGO or development sector.
- Experience of working with WROs or social rights movements.
- Strong knowledge of innovative qualitative and quantitative MEAL methodologies.
- Experience in participatory approaches and facilitating organisational learning.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

About The Role
We are recruiting for Events Fundraising Officers to join our ambitious Third Party and Organise your Own (OYO) Events team. These are full-time roles, working 35 hours per week with four fixed-term contract options available:

As Events Fundraising Officer (Third Party & OYO) you’ll support the growth, development, and delivery of our Third Party Events portfolio. Each of the Events Fundraising Officer roles will lead on different events including the London Marathon, Manchester Marathon and the official charity partnership with the AJ Bell Great Run Series.
You’ll work across multiple events to help us to give our participants and supporters the best possible events experience. This will enable us to build lasting connections with our cause and contribute to the £12million our team is projected to raise this financial year, with the wider Events team set to raise £22million. This is a rewarding role which helps to raise vital funds to support the lives of people affected by dementia.
These roles are all home-based, however you will be asked to travel and attend events in-person and occasionally across weekends throughout the year (travel expenses paid for by the Society).

About you
